    Week 50

    Thanks Texxas, that helped alot!
  2. Torero, I use Oanda, and have for a while. They are good, the only thing to watch out for however is when they widen spreads at news releases. That can trigger a stop. Other than that though, they have the best execution I've seen.
  3. Ya know Tin, I think I may be getting a mac next time around. This Dell lets me down too much. ha ha
  4. Thanks Tin. I was looking at some charts, and liked what I saw, but I wanted to make sure I was looking at the right thing. Thanks.
  5. Nicely put Pipmonster. I think a small account with NO leverage is good to start. On one hand cranking up leverage could work out nicely, and if your account is only a couple hundred bucks it wouldn't be the end of the world...but it would build horrible habits....so I say no leverage and slowly build up as you see fit, IF you see fit.
  6. Feb, so the gist of the technique is to basically plot lines from the high and low of the previous day on a daily chart, and set stop orders to buy at a break of the previous days high, or sell at the previous days low with a target of 5 pips? Thanks!
  7. Ant, Thanks I appreciate it! I really like MoM. I can definitely see the utility in rereading it a few times. Thanks again.
  8. I agree Ant. I think that Cisco is the best way for me to get a grip on this whole MP thing, and then mahybe I'll work outward from there. Soul, no worries on the info. Speaking of Dalton, thanks for reminding me to go pre-order the new book.
  9. Ant, Cool man. Thanks for the info. I agree, I definitely don't want to blow my money unelss absolutely necessary! I always learn the best by myself as long as I have adequate time to digest and develop my own perspective and unique understanding of it all...I have to be able to covert it all into "my language" and then it sticks to me like superglue! (at least most of the time lol:confused: ). If you don't mind, I'll probably be dropping some questions your way as time progresses. Thanks Ant.
  10. Soul, The Cisco course is $109/mo + exchange fees....which equals to a total of about $115/mo for the long course, or you can pay it all at once and it's about $1200. I recommend the monthly payments in case you feel you already know the info you can cancel. They also have a short course, which ant referred to, that is I think 5 months long, and runs about $600. THERE IS ALOT OF INFO TO DIGEST IN THE COURSE!
  11. I agree, that's an interesting question. Is there a different dynamic or something?
  12. Ant, Thanks for the info man. I really appreciate it. If you don't mind me asking, who did you use for mentoring, if anyone? I'm not completely convinced a mentor per se would be necessary, although it's always nice to have a helping hand to make sure you're not going off the reservation with the information you have. I'm glad to know you've already taken the path I'm on, and I definitely appreciate your taking the time to offer advice and insight. Thanks. Funny you mention everything, I am actually reading MoM, between my lesson text from Cisco- and I actually have one of the MP webinars from CBOT paused on my media player as I read your post. lol Makes me feel like I'm on the right track. Thanks Ant.
  13. HA HA YEAH REALLY SOUL. I told her this is where we get together to discuss the markets, compare notes and otherwise learn...which is true! lol:p
  14. Awesome James. I like what Carter has to say. That makes perfect sense. Thanks for clarifying.
  15. I actually asked my fiance that question just now, and she said, speaking of that why are you writing on the forum and not studying trading? so I guess that is a yes. lol
  16. Crazy stuff man. That is exactly why I don't fly planes. Well, that and the fact that I don't have an airplane.
  17. Nice info, Ant. You just answered one of my questions!
  18. Ant or anyone else, do you have any experience with Alexander Trading? Don Jones recommends them for ongoing mentorship, etc...but I was wondering if you had used them or otherwise had any experience with them? I really like what Don Jones has to say, and Alexander Trading looks like a good way to continue and compound on the basic of Value Based Trading. Or perhaps you have any better suggestions? By the way, definitely not trying to spam, I'm seriously asking.
