  1. Ant, NICE! Thanks that is very neat. I suck at Excel, and was looking for something simple to help keep errors down from manually listing and calculating stats. Thanks man....
  2. Excellent Kiwi! I really like the idea, it seems like a no-brainer way to stop focusing on the thing that causes the most problems for traders...being distracted by p&l
  3. Okay I was just wondering how it worked, since I see quotes and data available for either one, and was wondering if the information was different... ie using open outcry quotes for electronic trading, etc... Thanks Tin
  4. I was wondering, say for instance, you were looking at 30 yr Tbond electronic vs 30yr Tbond open outcry, as far as getting wuotes, price data, etc, are they the same? is it simply the method of execution that is different? I was asking because for instance, esignal provides the ZB (electronic 30 yr Tbond), but not anything for the Open Outcry Tbond. Just wondering mainly if I'd be okay using this data for monitoring or not. Thanks!
  5. Yeah good point Tin. I read about the strategy, and it doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense to me...I just wanted to see what you thought about it. Thanks man! Best of luck!
  6. Yeah I know what you mean brother. Forex apparently is different than the other markets...man I have seen some crazy moves...but then again I may be completely off base since I've only traded forex so far....can't wait to be ready for futures...
  7. Yeah it was definitely good to catch up with my old friend (The Golden Werewolf!) and of course ya gotta love the tetris music. I wouldn't have thought of it without seeing this post!
  8. I noticed Alexander Trading does an extensive profile, etc on you before they agree to have you begin mentorship with them....
  9. I was actually inspired to play Tetris, and I broke out my old Genesis for some Altered Beast. lol
  10. I'm with TinGull on that one. Nice video.
  11. Oh okay, that's what it sounded like, but yeah that makes sense. Thanks Tin. I appreciate it.
  12. What is the purpose of them and what are they? It seems like the answer is obvious, but I'm not one to assume! I'm pretty new to learning futures and figured here was the best place to ask. Trading forex in the meantime doing quite nicely, but man oh man..it's too "Wild West" for me in that market!:p
  13. ha ha ha I seriously was laughing out loud about that...it is such a realistic conversation. ha ha
  14. I always get scared of anybody that sells anything these days. lol like there is always the guy that's gonna one up the last honest sounding scammer...lol next thing I feel like I'm gonna see "Father Omalley's live trades" and still get hammered. But with that being said..I like what the man has to say Mr Paul. lol
  15. Good point....I'm seriosuly looking into it.
  16. ha ha nice quote torero. I agree, people just don't have the ability to grasp what a trader is, or they have this preconceived notion that everyone that trades is some crazy maniacal gambler or something, like it's the 1840's Gold Rush or something. It's funny how people react when you mention trading.
  17. Welcome to the forums. glad to have you. Nice list by the way:D
  18. Yeah my perspective is that cramming information like that found in a seminar is not a good way to learn either. No way to grasp all that info in such a short time frame. Not to mention they are generally VERY expensive. I wouldn't mind sitting in on some to compound knowledge, etc, but no way am I going to pay $2-3000 for the experience.
  19. Check out Cisco-futures.com and the book Mind over Markets by James Dalton. That should get you started brother.
  20. you know, you're right....it's weird though, who'd have thought prices seem to be affected by gravity as well? You'd think they'd go up as quickly as down...but you are definitely right on that note. Patience is KEY in an uptrend.
  21. Wow, nice idea. I am gonna do some backtesting. I really like it.Thanks Raul, that's very unselfish of you. You've definitely given me some great ideas between this and forex. So, thanks again.
  22. Yes I agree, if you happen to have Mastering The Trade, it explains gap trades very well. personally it's the best description I've come across, but I am sure you can find adequate information by googling it. Good luck. There was an interesting article on mypivots.com that explained how gaps failed for about 6 months or so, basically a caveat. I don't have the link with me, but it's a fairly small site and if interested you'd probably be able to find it fairly easily.
  23. I agree Pipmonster, I have almost packed a couple of times myself, but like you said....I couldn't find anything better. The only broker I'd be interested in would be MB Trading, besides Oanda. And that's only because they have such a good rep in other instruments and I like the non dealing desk approach, although I'm not sure how accurate that really is....
