  1. ^ This is the context of the conversation if anyone else was wondering... [17:37:04] cowseathay: Db, do you have any opinions on Gold? [17:37:54] DbPhoenix: In terms of the chart, the buying opportunity is past. [17:38:24] DbPhoenix: But if inflation kicks in ..... [17:38:41] cowseathay: was the buying opportunity at 70? [17:39:40] DbPhoenix: Depends on how you're buying it, but it was mid-November.
  2. Don't know of Barros plugins. But for Market Profile fin-alg offers a package for a one time fee.
  3. Hey Nvesta, I trade ES and the only things besides the ES charts that I have on my screens are the $TICK, $UVOL / $DVOL spread, Time and Sales, and Volume distribution. There is some good info here in the internals forum if your interested. Irie!
  4. Happy Holidays Soultrader and everyone here its great to be a part of this community!
  5. Gonna have a gander thanks for sharing!
  6. Here's one of the culprits... forex spam biswayroop
  7. From what I understand Woodie does not trade he just herds the sheep... Here is a link that may provide some insight look under Guru Crapola I do believe CCI can be used to enter trades but I think you have to look at the triggers hand in hand with s/r and not take every signal that fires.
  8. I made the same post here but I thought I'd add it to the market internals forum also... I don't use $UVOL / $DVOL as an indicator to enter a trade but I do plot these two on a chart to give me an idea about market breadth. +300k and I am not looking to short -300k and I am not looking to go long above/below these numbers to me signify trend. On huge gap days this can get tricky as the spread maybe + or - 300k but run in the opposite direction the rest of the day. When the spread is choppy below +300k and above -300k I trade the market as a rotational range day...

  10. Just stumbled upon this... http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f6/market-profile-education-resources-376.html#post835
  11. Um a good start would be the Market Profile section of this forum. A search will also prove fruitful...
  12. I also am deciding between Mirus and Dorman Commissions are about 20cents cheaper RT at Mirus. I have heard tho as you increase size you will be able to negotiate commissions easier with Dorman than an IB. Any truth to this? Thanks!
  13. I have not done any programming of indicators so I am not the best person to ask. I have however seen good support for indicator development in the NinjaTrader Forums
  14. Seems to me alot of people use variations of fib numbers to choose tick timeframes. Like BlowFish says only you can find the answer that is best for your style of trading. For me the 610 or 377 tick chart work fine on the ES...
  15. Quotetracker is fine. Ensign is also an option as is Ninjatrader... Give their free trials a shot that will help you decide whats best for you.
  16. I am pretty confused here also... If a tick = 1 transaction and say you have 512 tick chart, it would take 512 transactions before the close of the bar. Wouldn't volume on a tick chart all be the same since volume counts the number of transactions that are made? Found the answer to my question... http://www.mypivots.com/articles/articles.aspx?artnum=7 Ticks: A tick is a single trade irrespective of size. A tick chart builds each bar based on a certain number of ticks per bar. A 233 tick chart will create a new bar after every 233 trades have gone through.
  17. All you have to do is google his name... but here is the website if your still looking for it. http://www.tradingsuccess.com/
  18. If Citigroup collapses you are safe if FDIC or SIPC collapses then your screwed. Maybe a Government Bailout will save you but then with all the printing is your money really worth anything? All this doom and gloom is depressing :crap:
  19. My eyes were so bad that I needed lens implants (veriseye) and Lasik touch up to get my vision 20/20. I don't regret the surgery one bit but with the lens implants there is an annoying transluscent line that is sometimes visible, kinda like a glare line. My pupils are a bit too big and I can see the edge of the lens in my vision when I am in front of the computer screen. While it is a bit annoying at times the freedom I feel from no glasses or contacts outweighs it.
  20. Here is some info for you. http://genxfinance.com/2008/07/30/how-sipc-works-and-how-sipc-differs-from-fdic-insurance/
