I have been using Ninja Trader for free with Open Tick data for about 40.00 per month.... Ninja Trader is very sophisticated...great classes for free...you can set your stops, trailing stops, etc. to suit your needs. Keep cost down!

Hello everyone... Can someone expand upon MP and the 80% rule? I am familiar with the details, I am wondering if anyone has found success with this rule in its simpleness or did you have to tweak it a bit. If you care to share any ideas that would be great.....I trade ZB...I am 3 months into market profile learning, so if you have any details about trading the bonds using MP...chime in. Thanks.

I was waiting to see how this thread was developing before I added to it. Jack broz is a great guy. His chat room is on all day long giving you the open prices (pit) on bonds, spoos and the dow. He gets S/R levels from the floor, any kind of news or if any big boys (commercials) are in the pit making a big play....etc, etc. He will display his trade navigator platform and chart on the hottcom screen for you to watch...he will put in his trades and draw trendlines, but it is a sim account... I have found the numbers to be good at times....news reports and pit action is good to know. In the room he will call out trades by saying " for those who are long here, I'd watch out for ........ and if you're short, you probably want to be out by ....." ---- so you really need to have a good plan of what to do as you approach these S/R numbers, even tho Jack will have a long/short bias based on the floor. I spent a one week class with Jack Broz in Chicago on the floor and followed with 3 month chat room---really pretty cool...but I went with his partner who only does the bond market but with more of a methodological plan... Hope this helps.

Can anyone tell me if esignal's market playback is tick by tick ..as opposed to close to close bars etc. and if you see in real time as it happened? Market delta's playback was too jumpy....ninja trader has a good market playback for bars...but no MP.

Thanks Walter and Soultrader...could either or both of you post a pic of an entry showing your timing. It would be good to see the CCI and $Tick... So is the CCI (or $Tick) signalling the end of the retracement?

That is a great question. I am also looking to get MP strategies to couple with 30 year bond futures. I have been trading the bonds for awhile now but I am new to market profile. Seems to be a good fit. The 30 year bonds offer a great bang to buck ratio... bonds have been moving 12-30 ticks per day on a trending day at 31.25 per tick per contract...not bad. I assume the value area strategies should work using VAH, VAL, POC, single prints, etc....can anyone offer ant help? thanks.

Is there anyone who would like to share their trading details, nuances and personalities of the bond markets? I'm interested to see how well MP works with bonds and how to use the overnight market/previous day for the coming day. Bonds seem to provide good bang for the buck. Need help. Thanks.

Does anyone have any facts about Capflow 32 software? What it does, why they use it, is it worthwhile, etc? This comes from profile trading websites by authors of Steidlmayer on Markets. Any facts about this book versus Daltons set? Thanks.
