Gold Bullish or Bearish

Recommended Posts

As PREDICTED BEFOREHAND ....PER CAPT BOB REQUEST- This is a followup to my post 1087. PLEASE NOTE IT WAS PROJECTED BEFOREHAND..Gold traded down to the first horizontal line (60% chance remember), penetrated it slightly making a low of 1374.20 (red circle). Then it reversed. It has since gone to 1407.60. Over 33 points. So, a trader who went long at the green horizontal line could take 1/2 off after 18 to 22 points profit (depending on ones exact exit on 1/2 of position) and let the remainder trade on up and get out now or just continue to le it run moving up stop loss. The point is if one manages their Stoploss correctly this trade cannot turn into a loser. It is already at least an 18 point winner (probally more, depending on what the trader does) regardless of what market does afterwards. And if one totally exits right now he has a around 30 to 33 point winner.

I like selling into strenght and buying into weakness..catching falling knifes...and other idiotic tactics....AS LONG as the PA to the left supports such tactics.

Gold remains bullish. Heads up for a possible ATM zone after rise tapers off. This was with oct contract..i stuck with that chart as it was the chart of post 1087 mentioned above. It is now not the contract with most vol so in future i will use either cash or front running contract with most vol. but for comparison purposes i stuck with oct.

Perhaps this prediction will advance me from the COMPLETE LEVEL TL RATING (which means complete idiot per zdo) to the master level?..

PS Warning never listen to Patuca and never do what Patuca does.. It is all for information only and to gloat a little as trading can boring.......i need to find another fishing spot....getting tired of trading.

Chart is barchart ....Idiotic markings are patucas

Took me awhile to come up with something appropriate - this will have to do:

Will that horse be able to run up my gold channel on my post or will he stumble..falter...and fall completely out of my channel?

LOL....Trading and fishing work good together except when you hook a big fish and at the same exact moment a BIG trade takes off. Do you throw down the rod and attend to trading (as you can always buy another) OR do you attend to the fishing and neglect the trading? What is most important fish or $$$$$?

Please advise...

LONG at 1401 from yesterday

Stop now at 1410

Target 1420

Gold is BELOW the 45 degree Gann angle....thats bearesh

The numbers to watch

.... break below 1410 goes to 1395

.....and then to 1370 SUPPORT The price bounced off 1372 yesterday. Lots of demand at this level .So thats the BIG number for a home run.

.....break above 1421 goes to 1434 RESISTANCE

.....break above 1434 is a home run (and SunTrader is dead)

regards

bobc .

the statement above looks a bit intriguing for me.........how do you where to start from with the angle?.....a different candle and the angle is changed.....

Hi TW

If the chart is UP , draw a 45 degree angle from the bottom left hand corner

If the chart is DOWN, draw a 45 degree angle from the top left hand corner

BUT you can start with any candle, just in the right corner.

Yesterday was an UP day, but it still made a lower low than the day before.

There is another RULE to Gann trading.... lower lows mean the short term trend is DOWN, until a higher low is made.Thats the simplest way of trading, but you lose every time this happens.. Close of day prices apply

I dont think I have explained this very well:doh:

:offtopic:

Heres some useless info for budding astronomers and S & P traders.

Our solar system is situated in one of the lesser spirals (arms ) of the Milky Way)

It revolves around the Centre at a speed of 830 000 km per hour

It takes 250 million years to complete a circuit.Thats how big the Milky Way is.

Now every 65 million years it passes through a big spiral (arm),and the proverbial hit the fan

Last time this happened all the dinosaurs died.

Well next Monday is the end of another cycle. So index trader be careful :(:(

I am going to take the day off :haha:

why? Why? Why? Did you do that capt bob? Why long? I said in in my very recent post # 1096 "heads up" for ATM zone. Nothing to do but sell the top and buy the bottom until we get another breakout either up or down. We should get at least 2-3 sideways bars now 70% chance(). If a trader buy tops in ATM zone and sell bottoms he will get stopped out 70% to 80% of the time. Please meditate deeply about the matter..A trader should deeply consider selling strenght and buying weakness..

Ps Gold s bullish.

    • Recessions are weird.   The more you think about them, the weirder they become.   Yes, the economy is cyclical. Downturns aren’t just inevitable, they’re healthy.   BUT   Economic cycles, including recessions, are not just determined by clean and predictable financial indicators but also by psychological and sociological factors.   Collective mood, media reporting, and public sentiment play a substantial role in shaping economic realities.   And they can be manipulated.   A.] The Fear Factory   Every time the media starts shouting "recession," what happens?   Panic. Fear.   It's like Halloween but for adults.   And this fear isn't just innocent fun – it moves markets, influences decisions, and causes real harm.   Give me an example of when the media saw a chance to scare the crap out of you and didn’t take it?   I’ll wait.   B.] Recessions are Relative   Consider this – what's called a recession in one country is a day in paradise in another.   Economic conditions are relative.   If the standards are so skewed, can we really trust this whole concept?   C.] The Recession Whisperers   Imagine a secretive group, not in some government bunker, but in a quiet office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. That's the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), the recession referee.   But here's the twist: By the time the NBER declares a recession, it's like announcing rain when you're already soaked.   Their method involves a retroactive look, meaning they wait for six months of data, plus a one-month lag.   So, when they finally declare a recession, it's old news, a story you've been living in, not just reading about. In the world of economic predictions, the official-unofficial referees are not the early birds; they're the historians.   Also…   D.]The GDP Puppet Show   GDP.   It’s supposed to be a “health check” for the economy.   BUT   It's like going to a doctor who only measures your height and ignores your blood pressure, cholesterol, and heart rate.   It counts every dollar spent, regardless of what it's spent on.   That means disasters, wars, and environmental destruction all pump up the GDP. If a hurricane hits and we spend billions on reconstruction, guess what? GDP goes up.   Celebrating a GDP increase is like throwing a party because your house burned down and you had to rebuild it.   It’s also the main indicator the NBER uses to measure a recession.   The real problem with this is…   GDP is a broad measure and can be influenced by short-term fluctuations that don't necessarily reflect long-term economic trends.   It’s a useful indicator, but far from comprehensive.   E.] The Self-Fulfilling Prophecy   Here's the kicker – by declaring a recession, we make them more likely.   It's a classic self-fulfilling prophecy.   Businesses pull back on investment, consumers close their wallets, and just like that, the economy slows down.   But what if we didn't buy into the narrative? I have no idea.   F.] Rage Against Determinism   Economies aren’t deterministic. They’re dynamic.   Economies don’t follow a predetermined path.   Human agency and perception play a significant role in shaping economic realities.   Predictions are usually wrong for this reason.   Also, there’s this…   G.] The Hidden Agenda   Tin foil hat time.   Think about who benefits from recession talk.   The media gets a juicy story.   Politicians get a scapegoat.   Certain investors get to buy low.   It’s a game, and the average person isn't the one winning. You’re always being sold a narrative that serves others, not you.   And Yet, a Recession is HERE   Of course, recessions exist. Because prolonged downturns exist.   But all of this calls into question what we think we know about the word “recession” and how we talk about it.   It’s not as clear a concept as we think.   Nevertheless, it’s probably here already.” – Chris Campbell (AltucherConfidential)
