Good Quality Liquors

Recommended Posts

I've never been into hard liquor, but just curious what are some good quality liquors of choice among traders?

Not sure where this came from, guess I've watched too much Boston Legal where Denny and Alan sit on their high rise porch drinking some quality liquor. I wouldn't mind a drink or two after some days of trading, but don't want to buy junk.

Give me some ideas... cost not a consideration, I'd much prefer a quality drink over cheapness.

After a hard day's trading, nothing better to kick back with than a flask of MD 20/20!

I'm a cocktail man after a hard day's work. But occasionally, I'd have a nice small shot of bourbon, no ice, Southern Comfort or Four Roses (smooth and lightly sweet... good stuff). Of course there are some nice real whiskey, either scottish or irish, depending your inclination. My next objective is to try the Johnnie Walker Blue Label, I heard it ain't cheap (I believe the bar down in Spain charges 85 euro a shot). That would be a treat when a nice day of record-breaking win for me (ha ha ha).

You guys should try an after meal drink called "crema de limoncello", lemon cream liquor, served ice cold. Excellent way to digest your meal. Italian specialty shop should have them.

Torero yea I've had that its really nice. Its a good summery drink. Unfortunately these types of drinks don't look good in a public place here where they are seen as "girly" drinks, so us blokes have to put up with beer and hard liquor such as whisky, vodka, and bourbon.

One drink that I love if you really need a pick me up in the wee hours of the morning is a jager bomb where you take a shot of jagermeister and mix it in with a red bull. Two or three of those will keep you rockin on till the sun comes up.

Nick - been there, done that. Looking to 'move up' the alcohol consumption chain if you will. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing like a cold, fresh draft Bud Light in a chilled glass at the right time. Gone are the times of massive beer and jager bond consumption. ;)

Cheers!

Well in terms of higher class liquor, I like Chivas Regal Scotch whiskey. Its not bad. Also Glenfiddich is good if you like whiskey. I prefer whiskey over bourbon cause bourbon is too sweet.

For the clear stuff, Finlandia vodka is good its got a sharper and not so powerfeull taste like a Smirnoff does. Very nice when it's cold so perfect for a martini mixer.

For you rummies Baccardi 351 will make you see another dimension after a few hits its some potent stuff.

Wray & Nephew overproof white rum from Jamaica (the stuff they keep under the table at the island bars) is highly prized for its "medicinal" qualities.

May we know what those qualities are?

I agree with Brown, after a while, they start to taste stale. There bunches of wines and liquors to be tried and enjoyed. Life too short to stick to beers imo. Of course, I heard Belgium has over 200 brands of beer, I've only tried 30-40, so working on that to-do list too.:p

Hoegarden is a fantastic white beer. White being unfiltered. Perfect in summer. We have a Belgian style Beer Garden here where I live and its great in summer.

Ohhh for real upper class liquor theres always Hennessy cognac. Its a distilled wine thats slightly sweet to the palate. Its pretty darn expensive though and when you're paying through the nose for it it makes sense to put it in a brandy snifter and inhale some of it back before swishing it around in the mouth and swallowing it down.

Man I should be a spokesperson on alcohol.

I love Boston Legal too. I'd wager they are guzzling a decent Cognac it looks too dark for a single malt scotch. I'm off to Cognac for a blues festival shortly I guess between wine and beer a few cognacs will be sunk.

Irish Whiskey - smooth! : Jameson or JD Powers

Rum - no coke needed, Nicaraguan award winner: Flor de Cana

Beer: Belgian : Belhaven!

Canadians say their beer is so much better than elsewhere, not a fact in my opinion. Best microbrew comes from Norcal and Oregon..

    • Question: To those that had/have cancer, what were the signs that made you think “something is not right here” to make you go see a doctor? Answer: So, 5/25/2018, I woke up, got ready for work, and as I walked to my car, I started gagging. Like something was stuck in my throat and I needed to clear it. And then it went away.   But 10 minutes after that, I was T-boned at 40mph on the driver side door. But what made me see a doctor was while my muscles felt better and bruises were going away, the gagging still continued, I started having fevers, my neck felt swollen, I was having such a hard time breathing, and I'd have random sharp pains in my chest, but not from where the seat belt saved me.   2 weeks after the accident, I finally see an urgent care doctor, who looks me over, tells me I'm fine, but luckily requests a neck X-ray. And I ask for a chest X-ray, which he rolls his eyes but let me have (most of my pain was in the neck, so I understand).   The very next day, he calls and says “So, that chest X-ray shows there's a 4 inch mass on your heart and lungs, and your lungs have been filling up with fluid, as well as in your pericardial (heart) wall. We need you to come in tomorrow.”   Turns out the big mass, due to the accident, caused my heart and lungs to tear and fill with fluid, the swollen neck and gagging was caused by 2 metastasized tumors, and the fevers and weight loss were symptoms. Stage 4b Hodgkin's Lymphoma.   But thankfully, we went very aggressive with chemo (and had a lot of bad side effects that don't normally happen to patients), and now I'm about 16 months cancer-free. Yay lucky X-rays! • As a man, the reality of life is the harshest part. I don’t mind looking older or becoming weaker over time; it’s nature.   Have you ever heard that the only people who will be loved unconditionally are women and children? Men will only be loved as long as they can provide until they are no longer needed. It doesn’t matter if you already did your best to get your kids to the best school or get the best things for them, if you stop before they’re done with it, there will be no thank you. The only thing they will remember is that they have to quit school at 15, ignoring all the previous 15 years of life you provided for them. The only people who will accept you, no matter what, are your parents. But in this situation, you might be that ungrateful child.   EDIT: Wow, I didn’t think this would get so much attention.   For those who disagree, I can only say that everyone has their problem. If you don’t get the chance to face such a thing, be grateful. Remember, sometimes what you throw in the garbage is something that someone wishes ever to have.” – ElZee, Quora   Profits from free accurate cryptos signals: https://www.predictmag.com/
