  1. Does it make sense? I was always told by my trading instructor: “do something different than everybody else”. Because 95% of traders lose money Maybe someone here will help me solve the puzzle. If I’m part of this 95% of traders it also means that we are the majority of traders who decided to enter a trade in a certain direction, so how come we lose? Isn’t the market move to the direction where the majority of contract entered? So why we lose? Here are a couple of answers I received which caused me more confusion 1. Goldman Sucks equals 10,000 traders , with the same breath they say “the market can’t be manipulated” Here is my confusion, if the Goldman can go against 95% of traders and succeed than in my opinion they can own the world. Which they don’t. So why we lose? Based on this information I come to the conclusion that 95% of traders are making money and only 5% are losing, Since I’m part of this 5% of losers I decided to switch the buttons on my computer. Now the “SELL” button is the “BUY” and vice versa. What do you think?
  2. So what’s new? …..Money always will rule the world ps: if you don't beleive me look at Bobcollett picture of the day (2/1/2012
  3. Retrace, where you at? Any news, comment? I hope if you will reverse engineer this indicator you will share it with us, right?
  4. Don’t feel so special everyone is a Billionaire on a simulator
  5. I don't know..... I never had a wife with two vaginas
  6. I'm not sure if I should place this information here or under the title news of the day, here is a true story: "Woman Born With Two Vaginas" 1 in a million medical conditions. Known as uterus didelphys, it can more easily be described by saying she was born with two vaginas I sure would be happy if my wife had two vaginas
  7. You’re asking us too much, we are only traders not engineers

    FOMC Today

They have statistics for day before, and day after, for every major holiday, since they have also statistic for FOMC day one would assume they will have the same for the day after…. Just a thought
  9. The SP Emini futures leads in a Bull market lags in a Bear market
  10. The best option for you will be to quit right now and don’t even dream about day trading, even if some kind of a miracle will happen and you will turn into an “expert trader” you still will lose your money, being undercapitalized is one of the biggest reason why traders lose in the stock market My suggestion to you is to go for a nice vacation some place that you will remember and enjoy the memories for the rest of your life If you really have the urge to depart from your money sent a check to me, believe you me at the end you will feel much better than giving it to Goldman sucks at least I will not torture you....

    FOMC Today

I heard most of the days when the FOMC release their report are an “up” day in the US stock market Does anyone here have statistics which kind of a day is going to be the “Day After” FOMC report?
  12. Josh, I received my information from my instructor, he has more than 30 years experience in trading. There are references in this site going back to the year 2005 about his knowledge integrity and quality of information; if you want PM I will send you more information about him Having said that How can I prove the information I posted is true? I can’t Supposedly it is true how someone like me can prove it to you if it is right or wrong? Either you buy it or don’t
  13. To Josh and MM It's simply a matter of perspective, and it really goes to the heart of why I started this thread. MM is simply saying that a price where the most trade occurs means maximum disagreement, IF the definition of high trade activity is indeed disagreement. I buy from you, you sell to me. We disagree with each other, else we would both be buying, or both be selling, from someone else. MM is seeing a trade as, by nature, a disagreement as to value. That's where MM is coming from I'm sure. MM is slick and always rocking the boat ;-) Unfortunately my instructor did not answer me yet but I have a reasonable answer for both of you. First Josh This analysis is only valid for the ES emini: A. most of the volume in the emini is not directional it comes from hedging against another index or a commodity B. it comes from computer X going against computer Y to gain one or two ticks there is nothing to suggest agreement or disagreement it might be both, as I said before one might see the glass half full the other half empty. MM: Think it through. It can't be both agreement and disagreement. When price spends a lot of time at a price, possibly creating a POC or HVN, there is lot of disagreement on price. Price moves when there is a lot of agreement on price. Price sits when there is a lot of disagreement on price. Price moves when there is an absence of one or the other. My answer to you I absolutely disagree with you even though your argument makes a lot of sense but it shows lack of understanding how the market works A. It is a fact; the only people who can move the market to a vertical development (up or down) are the “Big Money” in other words Goldman sucks and Merrill Lynch el….. When they decided for a move they are going against thousands and thousands of the retail traders you will argue that there is agreement in the price otherwise why would the retail trader will “buy “ Or “sell” their position the answer to this is when the Meryll making an offer the retail traders can’t refuse…. Otherwise they will be lynched hence come the word Meryll Lynch If someone put a gun to your head and says: give me your position you can hardly call it an “AGREEMENT” This is also the reason why 95% of traders including me lose in the market, MM if you see the market as the Goldman’s congratulations to you, you mastered the market but you have to understand that thousand out there gave their position against their will and markets move up or down when there is NOT a agreement
  14. Mighty Mouse: Price moves when there is a lot of agreement on price Here is what I learned Every market moves about this three steps 1. Vertical development 2. Stop 3. Finding a balance area 1. Vertical move happens when the market DOES NOT AGREE on value therefore it moves to search for a value (either up or down) 2. Stop 3. Found the balance people agreeing on a price What you say also make sense to me, I referred your question to Mr. Dalton when I will get the answer I will post it here
  15. I'm not sure how it can have 2 opposing definitions at the same time - how can that be true? One can see half a glass full, the other can see half a glass empty
  16. Trade station is as good or as bad as IB. There is not one reliable and proven broker who falls into the category of what you requested, Ecry platform breaks down once a month and customer don’t have access even to a phone line to change their orders, I don’t know what your experience is but if you’re a newbie the best thing for you is to choose between TS and IB at least you know your money is safe and someone is on the other side of the phone
  17. Greece was admitted to EU by fraud, their departure will not cause any long term damage , on the contrary it will strengthen them
  18. MightyMouse: The POC of high volume node is the price or set of price points where there is the most disagreement. In my opinion It is also the price where is the most agreement……
  19. Start by asking questions first than trade and not vice versa
  20. Josh your analysis about the market is the most accurate one. This is also how Steidlmayer. Don Jones and Tom Alexander see the market Basically you got the 3 phases. 1. Vertical development. 2. Stop 3. Forming a balance These phases were in the market 100 years ago 50 years ago and today it looks like it will be the same tomorrow
  21. How to identify the trend: just stare at the chart.... concentrate, and follow the price action. Tams, I tried to follow your instruction but I could not see the trend. Can you please give more details or an example. like where is the start . Thank You?
