  1. Who knows... so many fingers to point... At this point you'd think we'd just be used to this, but this one stung since it could be LBJ's last game w/ us.
  2. Excellent idea Steven - you should probably take the lead to get interest your chatroom going again! I'm confident that real-time calls that make money would most definitely get the interest of TL and get the chatroom going once again. Those interested can interact w/ you as well as seeing your trading in a live setting.
  3. Other way around that is to just bookmark directly to the forum as it does not appear there (yet).
  4. I didn't realize this was hush-hush and no public information would be given out to the rest of those here. Is there a secret knock to get into this new off-site chatroom?
  5. Are you really promoting a garbage website ak?
  6. Since you keep bringing this slippage issue up, what has your analysis shown for realistic slippage?
  7. I have not visited the chatroom in a long time but in a thread I started about chat services, hlm mentioned there was discussion about going to a new service (separate from TL). I suggest you contact him directly. Too bad you can't get any real info here since it's obvious those in the chatroom saw this thread.
  8. I don't think you need a private group to do this. If you keep it open, others may contribute and help the cause as well. I've learned in my time here that some like to contribute right away and some like to lurk a bit before contributing. Good luck!
  9. Kiwi is right - what some can view as golden, others will view as rubbish - so you really do have to find what works for YOU and YOUR MENTALITY. Some want action all day, every day trading many times; others like myself want a handful of trades per day and that's enough. I find that I am trading less actual trades and just trading more size as time goes on. To Kiwi - you may want to link to the part of Thales thread b/c 1) it's a huge thread and 2) the search function on TL is not very good.
  10. Take the trial and report back to us.
  11. For sure! I don't trade Nat Gas so that rule doesn't apply to me, but a good rule for those trading Nat Gas.
  12. I'm hoping the gameplay is good. Those future/scifi games get to be a bit old and I don't play them for very long.
  13. ^^ That is good advice. Great place to start. As for how/when you find your reliable setups, for me personally I have found a couple things that work well for me and I focus on those. They were not the direct result of a book, webinar, class, etc. That's not to say that all the readings/studying I've done did not have an influence. I think at some point you either find what works for you from all your 'stuff' or you don't. That stuff is the books, webinars, watching real-time charts, etc.
  14. He should offer a real-time trial so you can see if it in action, so give it a try and see what you think. Just make sure he's doing it in REAL-TIME. After the fact stuff is useless. If no trial, then run far away. If not done in real-time, run far away.
  15. Do not trade Crude Oil from 10:15am-10:35am EST on Inventory days. On the rare 11am Inventory days, adjust times appropriately.
  16. Ok, maybe not free but not exactly a top tier service either. I had no idea yahoo even had a service they charged for. If you want to treat this as a hobby, then most days the yahoo thing will be just fine. If you want something more reliable and serious, then you have to look elsewhere. Other option is to find a broker that supplies this to you for free or discounted. Open ECry provides charts/data to customers for free or you can get a monthly demo for a fee.
  17. I agree - for cardio you can't beat Insanity.
  18. I am a very casual video game player, but this new one Red Dead Redemption really caught my eye b/c it's based on the 'Wild West' vs. some future/scifi thing. I found too that if you pre-order on Amazon, you get 2 nice bonuses: 1) $20 Amazon Gift Card 2) In game bonus Anyways, it looks pretty nice and is getting good reviews for any other gamers out there. Maybe we can get a few from TL online and create a TL posse. XBOX 360 PS3
  19. Simply, the ES is one of the biggest traded contracts = biggest players are here. And they are good. Along with the bots, I'm not interested. You are pitting yourself up against the biggest traders in the world + the many bots out there ... not an easy task. What your eyes think they see as easily tradable (I assume you are looking at static charts) aren't so easy in real-time. So while you are new and looking around to find your groove, it's worthwhile to examine some other 'different' markets - Oil, Gold, Currencies, Grains, even the RLM can act differently to the ES. Also - daily volume means nothing when you first start. Slippage on 1 contract should not be a factor in your decision making. With 1 contract, you could easily trade the QM with minimal slippage. Check daily volume on that one to see what I mean.
  20. So far Skype is doing exactly what I need and all for free too which is nice. Very convenient screen share that's built in. You can share your entire screen or partial as well which is nice.
  21. I'd venture a guess that there are plenty here that would be more than willing to do this with you ST if you wanted to bring any others in with you since it could benefit both parties.
  22. I will try to recall from memory what I bought... # Resistance Bands (could also use dumbbells if you have them already) # Yoga Mat and Block # Heart Rate Monitor # Pull Up Bar (found one that goes in a doorway) # Push Up Bars # Quality Shoes (I love New Balance) Here is what the p90x site sells. The only thing I purchased from the directly was the resistance bands. Everything else came from a local sports store. For those on a tight budget, you could skip the yoga mat/block (just do the yoga day on your floor) and heart rate monitor (only use it 1 day and it's to make sure you are working out in the right zone - well, if you are sweating your butt off, you are good to go). They also sell plenty of supplements with this program as well. I did not purchase any of those. They talk a lot about the recovery drink and on their forums they said you could take a sports drink (powerade, gatorade) add in some protein and that's good enough. So that's what I do.
  23. A couple people have asked how I was doing on this so I wanted to give a little update. So far I have done p90x to Insanity to p90x and now doing another p90x round. My impressions of each: P90X # A very complete, full body workout if you follow the entire plan. You are doing something 6 days a week and it keeps you active. # I like the detailed tracking sheets that you use with this to track progress. # I really enjoy the muscle building days. # Cardio/yoga days are good, just not my thing. INSANITY # A heavy cardio based plan, minimal emphasis on actual muscle building. # IMO the tracking is poor - you do not track each exercise as there is not time to do that in Insanity. You go quickly from one move to the next so there is no time to track each move like p90x. This is a problem for me as I want to see what I did and what my goal this workout should be. # If you need to get into cardio shape, this one is solid. You can tell which program I prefer - p90x. For a top to bottom workout, I think p90x is built better than Insanity. From what I've read and seen, it actually looks like p90x was supposed to come out after Insanity and kind of be the compilation of everything. For whatever reason, p90x was pushed out before Insanity. You can easily do both of these in your house and I like that convenience. You will need more extra stuff with p90x vs Insanity to do the full workout so there is an added cost in p90x. In the end you can't go wrong with either but my preference is p90x for what I am trying to accomplish.
  24. One thing TL could improve on IMO is the search function. I have no idea how this software is designed but it's always been a sore point here. Example - I wanted to search for my p90x thread. I typed 'p90x' and the search said no matches... Meanwhile, look what I found. My first post is littered with 'p90x'. So to Steven and his silent partners, I would suggest looking into a new search engine for the site.
  25. That's bizarre. Even the little ole OEC software has a built-in reconnect feature. If they have no solution then it's time to move on if it's a big deal for you.
