  1. By Anonymous: “Fiscal Cliff” put in a much better perspective. Lesson # 1: * U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000 * Fed budget: $3,820,000,000,000 * New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000 * National debt: $14,271,000,000,000 * Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000 Let's now remove 8 zeros and pretend it's a household budget: * Annual family income: $21,700 * Money the family spent: $38,200 * New debt on the credit card: $16,500 * Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710 * Total budget cuts so far: $38.50 Got It ??.......OK now, Lesson # 2: Here's another way to look at the Debt Ceiling: Let's say, You come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood.... and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceilings. What do you think you should do ...... Raise the ceilings, or remove the shit?
  2. From 1933 to 1974, it was illegal for U.S. citizens to own gold in the form of gold bullion. If you want to buy gold bullion, you have to apply for a special license. But you can own guns anytime anywhere.
  3. Do you see in your chart, 12 tick changes in one second?
  4. the admin can merge all his threads into one thread, and change the title too.
  5. since the Newtown tragedy... 8 first responders have died of gun ambush.
  6. LOL  imagine talking to an American face to face? you will have your face smashed before the end of the conversation; some of the people are very passionate about what they are talking about.
  7. it sucks to have something like this happen on Christmas eve 2 firefighters shot, killed while battling New York blaze 2 firefighters shot, killed while battling New York blaze - CNN.com
  8. if you think I believe that's the ending, you can be the angel ... :haha:
  9. I guess the key words are... "if you saw a 280lb animal attacking a woman or raping.. " The fact is, there are 280lb monkeys living everywhere. You can find them in UK, in Canada, in Japan, in Germany... in all the developed democracies in the World. I do not see any of people in these countries require to buy fully automatic assault rifles with 30+ round magazines. And I do not see more monkey attacks (any size monkey) in those countries than in USA. The sorry fact is, people believe they can defend themselves if they are armed. The fact is, they cannot. Owning a gun only gives you a sweet feeling, and a false sense of security. 10. I am surprised this comes from a 50 yrs old. This is like, saying why do you need a driver's license? how do you enforce it? you are not going stop every car to check, and the drunk driver who lost their license is going to driver and kill people anyway.
  11. The Market Moves In a Straight Line Just don't look at the noise.
  12. I miss the good olde days when you could go to the airport to pick up your folks, and you could walk right inside the luggage pick up area and grab the bags yourself. Nobody stops you or asks to see your ID. Good olde days.
  13. >> typically producing 5-15 ideas per day which is far too many for me to test. you are still at an experimental stage... it will be a long road to square one.
  14. Are you making the statement for USA? You think the situations are comparable?
  15. i have watched the movie, but it was a long time ago, so i cannot vouch for the accuracy of this statement.
  16. rant again.... of course, they would switch to their justification if the reasons to the right to bear arms does not make sense... like... more people died from automobile accidents than guns. more people died from obesity than guns more people died from abortion than guns more people died from drugs than guns how do you tell people it is childish to make comparison like that? this is no justification at all. they knew it won't hold water, but they are backed against a corner, so incomparable stats is better than no stats.
