OMG!! I hate to say this but I sold 92.00 covered 80.75, 78.25... Mindblowing... and LUCKY...

I targeted a single down there from GBX and a NVPOC... & CHVN @ 77.00 ..

That was violant... Hate to be on the wrong side of that .. I had a very small position on... still it made up for yesterdays Dung Heap... Still the technicals said sell but it was a crap-shoot...

Here's the interesting question... Is it a buy down here or will it make new lows..assuming we had an RTH session? Or is 72.00 next? Thoughts?

BTW: Look how often we come up with these numbers and they don't get realized during RTH sessions...

195k sounds pretty low Tom-nice!

After that shock NFP, we have a few scenarios even with Europe closed. Attempt to continue down, attempt to get back into upper balance, not do too much. In each case, clearly it's important to monitor for "trade facilitation". i.e. are we going to like the attempted direction or reject it? Is a swoop lower on open going to find aggressive buyers? Is an attempt to close gap from Thursday going to find more sellers? These are important questions we have to try to answer as best we can each and every day.

Here's a couple of scenarios:-

Morning all -- I am just watching so far, but have sold 75.50, looking for a retest of ON low at 72.50 and if this breaks, 69.25 -- not sure I am with the right side at the moment given the positive delta we've had here in the last 15 minutes, but I'll ride with it for a few more minutes here and give it a shot.

sold 75.50

Too much struggle to get lower for me guys, so I closed for a tick loss, and actually reversed long. I usually don't do this but I think it may be a good idea here, long from 76.

Okay, I closed 1/2 at 78.00 -- stop is 76 on the rest, looking for 81s on the rest -- kind of a hard target as there are several areas of note here.

Just so you know, midpoint and VWAP coming in around 76.00.

Aware, and gave it a couple more ticks of room partly for that reason -- 76 happened to be the "area" because it was my actual entry price. But often I will massage it a bit as it gets there.. I move my stops a lot, which people say never to do, but which I do as the action calls for it. So I still have 1/2 on now at 76, but I dunno, not very inspired by this so far. May close here soon in 77s.

The main goal of this thread is to show what Power Trades is and how it works in different markets. We will show some patterns on the ES and NQ futures, as well as discuss possible improvements to this functionality.
      What is Power Trades?
Ok, first we will consider what the Power Trades is and how it finds zones.
Power Trades shows the zones with the execution of a large number of orders in a very short time, which will affect the price change with a high probability.
Here are a few examples of how it looks like

      How it finds zones?
There is a continuous process of placing, changing and executing orders in the market. All this affects the price change and the expectations of traders regarding the future price.
When a large order appears at a certain level, the price is more likely to come to this order and it will be executed because the market is always looking for levels with liquidity. This already applies to the order flow and the mechanics of orders matching, so we will omit the principles on which the orders are matched.
It is only important to understand that "abnormal events" occur in the market at certain times. Execution of a significant volume of orders in a very short time is one of such events.
The Power Trades Scanner has several important settings that directly affect the results:

Total Volume — the minimum value of the volume that should be traded during the specified time interval
Time Interval, sec — the time over which the Total Volume should be traded
Basis Volume Interval, sec — this parameter shows how much % took the traded volume in the total volume for the specified time.
Zone Height, ticks — this parameter will show only those zones where the height is less than or equal to the specified value (in ticks).
Level2 level count — the number of levels that are involved in the calculation of Imbalance and the Level 2 Ratio column in the table of results.
Filter by Delta,% — the parameter will show zones that have a delta value greater than or equal to that specified in the setting. The value must be specified by the module, so the table will show both positive and negative delta values. We recommend paying attention to the zones with the delta above 50% (taking into account the specifics of each trading instrument).
For example, let's set the Total Volume of 2000 contracts and Time Interval in 3 seconds on the E-mini SP500 futures. This means that the scan will be based on the available history and will show on the chart only those zones that have such a volume for the specified time.

Additionally, it is worth to set a delta value to filter out the zones with one-side trades. The more delta value, the high probability that the price will reverse.

So, as a starting point about this scanner, I think this information will be enough

      Hi everyone,
This is my maiden analysis using volume profile - so please don't hesitate to share your feedback.
As per the attached analysis, I think that SPY is primed for a short - for many reasons
      - Multiple strong rejection of long positions exist at Resistance R1 and R2 : seems like sellers defending their positions
      - Very strong short volume seen at R2 : further signifying sellers who are ready at that level
However, once the price reaches Support S1, there seems to be a strong buying sentiment which has rejected previous shorts. You can see trading ranges & pullbacks to S1 where buyers and sellers seem to agree on a price range, often leading to a buyer dominance.
      What do you think?

    • Date: 3rd June 2024. OPEC+ Announces Gradually Higher Supply and NVIDIA a New Accelerator.     Oil declines as the European Cash Open edges closer. Oil prices have fallen for 4 consecutive days measuring almost 4.00%. OPEC+ members advise the group will have the option to not continue voluntary cuts from September onwards. All US and global indices start Monday’s trading higher after a poor end to May 2024. The bullish price gap illustrates a potential “risk-on” market. NVIDIA announces its next generation of accelerator chips and promises annual upgrades. NVIDIA stocks are already trading 0.55% higher in pre-trading hours. USOil (Crude Oil) – Voluntary Cuts May Gradually Fade! The price of Crude Oil fell almost 4.00% in the last 3 days of last week due to the OPEC+ meeting. The meeting is now at an end and journalists are pointing out 2 key points. The first, is that the OPEC+ group will keep limitations on production as it has since COVID-19. The second, is that countries which have voluntarily added additional cuts will have the option to reduce these cuts from September onwards. According to analysts, the market should not necessarily “overreact”, because if OPEC+ increases supply, it will only be gradual. Additionally, analysts also advise the group will only look to re-introduce production if the market conditions allow it to. Nonetheless, traditionally, additional supply is known by analysts to apply downward pressure on commodities. This is something which can also be seen over the past week, but investors will be keen to see the price drop below the support level.   The support level has been a key psychological level for investors throughout the month of May, specifically on 3 occasions. The price is currently trading below the 50.00 on the RSI and below most longer-term Moving Averages. If the price declines below the 65.00 Fibonacci level at $76.70 per Barrel, momentum will signal possible further decline. USA100 – NVIDIA Announces a New Accelerator Chip! The NASDAQ struggled within the previous week and at one point was down more than 3.00%. However, a large surge of buyers towards the end of Friday’s session saw a strong rebound and the index also trades higher during today’s Asian session. The NASDAQ is currently being influenced by 3 factors. However, investors will also give importance to the pricing of rate adjustments after the US employment data. The first factor prompting investors to increase tech-stock exposure is NVIDIA. The CEO of the company has again advised the technology and AI market will continue to grow and become more aggressive. In addition to this, Mr Huang advised NVIDIA is releasing a new accelerator chip and promises more within the upcoming year. A second positive factor for not only the NASDAQ, but global indices, is most analysts believe the European Central Bank will lower interest rates for the first time in the current cycle. If more global banks decide to reduce the restrictiveness of their monetary policy, stocks will become more attractive. However, only if the move is not a response to potential economic contraction. Lastly investors are also taking advantage of the lower entry point and feel an improved sentiment as Oil prices are declining. Investors hope lower oil prices will apply less upward pressure on inflation.   If the price rises above $18,638.83 the price will form a bullish breakout pattern which indicates upward movement. However, for a stronger and longer-term bullish trend, investors will be keen for the price to increase above the 75-Bar EMA and 100-Bar SMA. These two moving averages are currently priced at $18,658.28 and $18,733.30. Always trade with strict risk management. Your capital is the single most important aspect of your trading business.
