  1. Yes for traders it may do. I personally dont use any technicals for my charting cause the chart looking at the chart is enough to see whats happening with the price, my original perception was the large capital investment market where almost all technicals fail.
  2. Lemme see how many Billionaire investors out there use Fibonacci? the answer to this question would most probably be "ZERO".
  3. Broker suggestion will be based on what u wanna trade. U havent mentioned what u wanna trade and also whats your trading style.
  4. There are emergency loans from the International Monetary Fund and bilateral loans from the countries that are in the black from those countries that are in the red. Germany guarantees 27% of loans, France 20% and Italy 18%. This is the scenario of who gets how much to save their banks and balance the state budget. Cyprus € 23 billion The first three of nine billions euros from the European Stability Mechanism(ESM) to Nicosia is coming this month.Cyprus gets another billion from International Monetary Fund in Washington, paid by all EU members.Another six to ten billions Cyprus to collect expropriation savers have more than 100000 euros in certain banks. Russia has been reduced interest rate to Cyprus on loans.Overall, Cyprus needs 23 billion euros. Greece: at least €350 billion. The European Union, individual countries and the International Monetary Fund promised to Greece 240 billions euros.Greece has so far received 116 billions.Greece received bilateral loans in total 53 billions euro. The International Monetary Fund paid 20 billions euros. From the private creditors Greece has raised 107 billions euros. The current rescue program up to end in 2014.Greece will be able to pay herself -only 2020. Ireland: € 85 billion 85 billion euros needed to clean up the former Celtic Tiger its banking sector, Ireland is 17.5 billion passed itself (state assets and pension funds). The remaining 67.5 billion comes from Community funds of all EU Member States (22.5 billion), the EMS fund to rescue the euro zone from the 17 members states(12.8 billions euros) from the International Monetary Fund.and loans from the United Kingdom (3.8 billion). Ireland has not taken all the means at his disposal for EMS is still almost 5 billion. Portugal € 78 billions Portugal should be the smallest assistance from the international community. When approved 78 billion euros the distribution of per capita is about 70000 euro per Portuguese. In Greece debt is about 30000 euro per capita.Portugal has been used more than 26 billions euro. Spain €100 billion for banks Spain needs 100 billions euros for banking sector. The money goes directly to the banks. There is no money in state budget.Spain has no saving policy like other countries Cyprus,Greece,Ireland and Portugal.Until now Spain is receiving about 41 billions euros.
  5. Agricultural futures are the best to trade imo...they offer the best year in and year out price movements according to the seasonal production unless there's a big drought, change in taxes or heavy rainfall..
  6. i used to be a scalper but found it not worth it. Now i apply Global Macro in trading forex and its much more rewarding and much more relaxed. All you need to have is Patience on your open trades.
  7. I agree with your longer timeframe advice but dont think a first timer should start with options as they are too complicated for any new timer. Investing in stocks or commodities for longer runs is enough, something that i do with a day job. Doing intra day stuff is useless anyway. More trades dont mean you will be making more money.
  8. You may check out the chart school of stockcharts.. Its much easier to learn as everything is explained in simple words.. StockCharts.com - ChartSchool There's also a gr8 canclesticks teaching channel on youtube.. 9. My answer to this thread will be "i never trade when the price or performance is random".. Trading randomness is equivalent to gambling.
  10. One thing Pros say over and over again and now im experiencing that myself is sticking to the asset or industry which u know about and which you feel confident to trade in.. Going into random things leads to nowhere..
  11. I used to use it on stocks trading alongside MACD and Stochastics, it wasnt that bad but i have to say my work used to be done without it using only MACD and stochastics ... Overall after my experience over the different market asset classes, i'd say fundamentals are always more important than technicals...
  12. There is and never will be a holy grail but after all my trading experience one thing i did learn overtime was never to put price action technicals over the market fundamentals...one you get to follow the fundamentals then u realize how the big investors, banks and hedge fund managers did it which a retail trader never does..
  13. Its also upon the demand, Gold's current demand is low and everyone expected this dip for a long time after such a long range market , the bigger chance of getting out of this range was breaking the support..
  14. I will agree..read a report today Citi predicting another dip in Gold..i may short it come the 1500 level.......
  15. i just read some Articles on the web here and there and followed a few market commentators... its never about how many retail traders are long in an asset at the moment, its more about supply and demand and Gold currently has a lesser demand at the big corporate firms and banks....+ what i said was a long term view (call it a couple of months or more) with no technicals involved..
  16. I am not looking for a justification for a trade...and im not comparing Gold with Apple either or to any indices or futures whatsoever.....i just simply asked on opinions on how the mean reversion phenomenon can currently be applied to both the assets with adjustment to inflation, i know am not the guru here and nor will be, even many big hedge fund managers dont call themselves the guru cause in the end its the market that always wins ... Btw thanks for the link,i'll read it out..
  17. Its a simple thing meaning prices and returns eventually move back towards the mean or average value over a historical period of time...we are now Gold and Apple coming to what we could call a mean reversion cause if we average the prices of their 5-10 years time then they stand around their mean or somewhat above or below. However, Inflation plays a different role in calculation "Mean Reversion" as inflation adjustment will most probably move the average higher than what really seems which could mean Gold or Apple could be slightly undervalued. So my question will be is it now a good time to buy any of Gold or Apple or any other asset out of its Mean Reversion? i am personally still bearish on both but think both could provide a good buying opportunity in near future...
  18. Not sure if it'll go further..the demand for the Gold ETF is still weak and Goldman Sachs is now another investment banking firm sending out a bearish prospect of the metal in the near term...i hope Gold gets where its being predicted ($1200-$1260) so i can get some big long positions in it..
  19. Analysts at Credit Suisse are even more bearish on Gold predicting a $1100/oz-$1200/oz while same goes for BofAML Commodity Strategists Michael Widmer and Sabine Schels predicting similar levels to come... Im myself is a big bull of Gold at this point but the ratings from the market commentators is still a sign we may see even more bearish moves in Gold in the weeks to come..
  20. The Pro-Analysts were right...Gold did hit the $1350 price this week...i wish i had taken a short position in the metals, would have made a lot of money....im still waiting to have a good long entry into the metals cause Gold for me is a buy on dips thing...

    APPLE Target: 202$.

With Steve Jobs i would have said No but without his innovative personality Apple has already started to show the lack of creativity and innovation in its products ( iPhone 5 was noting bt some basic advancements in processor speed, screen size, ram etc with addition of some small cap apps) bt currently the $200-$240 range seems much of a possibility....
  22. China is a rising economy which deserves where it is these days in terms of production, economy and development (if not in terms of the life standard which is still very low)...imo it'll reach a certain level and will stay there keeping China in the top 5 economies of the world for the large part of the future to come...
  23. Some Pro-Analysts are predicting a Bearish run which may go down to 1350... It has now broken its long term support of 1540-1560 range and entering the 1400's...the bears should ready their guns for some action...
