  1. Resuming... Trading your own acct = pure enjoyment ¡¡ No doubt that once you master a method and trade it for yourself on the confort of your home, trading, probably is one of the most confortable careers in the world. cheers Walter.
  2. Bronx : I personally make good range trades using this methods on this threads : http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f34/the-false-break-trade-1994.html http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f34/the-lazy-trade-1942.html they seriously capitalize on the coils that market create permanently... my favorite is the false break... because the market just doesnt have any intention of going outside the boundaries he already created... hope helps.. cheers Walter.
  3. Hi Sparrow, thanks for this great contribution... we must understand that this is an open research, we really dont know if this will ever be usefull for real trading... now playing with a nice idea sometimes may end on a great method or at least it will expand your overall understanding of the market... cheers Walter.
  4. pipper : can you post a chart of this trades ? sounds simple... cheers Walter.
  5. Blu-Ray: My question : once the bar closed, the diamonds will not change color ? no repainting ? nice job Blu-Ray ( as usual )... cheers Walter.
  6. Sparrow : Thanks to your latest vwap versions my internal research on the topic is picking up momentum... I am on summer here and have quite some distractions, but will start sharing some ideas soon... thanks for your great cooperation ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  7. Ok Brown, thats what I wanted to know... wich one would be the most classic one... thanks a lot and again congrats for this great section ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  8. Brown, taking a look on your excellent threads ¡¡ as I am looking ES lately, what timeframe do you normally use for your candlestick trading on ES ? thanks for great threads ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  9. Thanks everyone for the great feedback ¡¡ its clear that ES has some very good qualities to be exploited... what I like and now with your feedbacks I get confirmed, is the less amount of noise and the great volume capacity... I always wondered how is the big ES contract traded (pit) if I wanted to send an order on the big ES, should that be on the phone thru the broker ? or could it be done by an electronic way (orders) ? just curious on that.. thanks for your feedbacks ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  10. you should not predict anything... follow the cycle waves and you will laugh on your daily targets... cheers Walter.
  11. Congratulations Nick ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  12. Hello everyone... I am a futures scalper and all my trading career has been focused into hi volatile futures as Russell and actually Ym... Lately I started to look some ES charts and I find them atractive as they actually look like they are having some nice range, and look less noisy than my ym charts... My question to ES traders is : Do you consider ES Swings more solid than ym or Russell futures ? (less noise )... looks like when ES swings for example a 1 min low on a given cycle... it doesnt have that much noise as ym or russell does... any input will be of great value... thanks Walter.
  13. Nice and clean Sparrow... will see what we can evolve here... its clear that pivot selections would be a start... but so far being above/ below vwap really gives a nice line on the sand... cheers Walter.
  14. Hi Ketmoney, I think you probably didnt get the answer you expected as it is a little too general... let me add my two cents here... I like tick charts... actually on futures I trade YM and use 22T charts... thats because I do very fast trades... so you may want to experiment this numbers on tick charts as they are quite popular : 22 , 55 , 110 , 233... always I do have a 5 min chart for some aerial trend view... cheers Walter.
  15. I thought I would share a video today of some posible divergence trades with BOP... notice timing when getting inside the rainbow works like a charm... I will take some rest this days... be back next week... cheers Walter. Some Divergence trades with BOP.swf
  16. My pleasure to have you here with us Igorad ¡¡ and thanks once again for sharing your programing work... as you know, since you made the first vma translation from vt to mt4 we had been able to make great improvements on it thanks to Pyenner here at TL... so your first vma code was of great help to get this great process started ¡¡ Welcome to TL ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  17. Normally for that you need to detect pivots automatically, some kind of fractal or crossovers that determine pivots, after that you compare pivot levels and get the divergence plotted, now normally that will happen various bars later from the fact, as you need a pivot confirmed to get your divergence plotted... best deal is training your eye on real time information... cheers Walter.
  18. Cattus, can you ask Igorad if you can share it with the TL gang ? he knows us, he did the very first vma code for us as well... cheers Walter.
  19. Should I add my two cents here... I go all in, all out... have a technical entry criteria and technical exit criteria... I am more near to what Brown says... take small consistent profits,(my technical criteria is scalper exit) I dont go for the big moves that sometimes dont appear... quick scalps that put cash on my wallet over and over again... screen time is the best teacher.. also taking stops when you had a nice decent profit at some point... cheers Walter.
  20. I also was amused MrPaul... lol
  21. James, you want to also check the edit button, as sometimes it doesnt appear, even on very new posts.... take care, cheers Walter.
  22. Correct Tin... Price and volume are data... any mathematical algorithm derived from this data is considerated an indicator... (classic TA concept)... NOW a candlestick formation its an indicator because there is some biased reading and interpretation of the raw data... same with volume, an x interpretation of volume makes him an indicator already... So there is a fine line there between data an indicator actually... my two cents... cheers Walter.
  23. Laddering became automatic and is discounted on the new way setups are formed... so I dont look at them on the setup formation anymore, it was a very good interesting instance during the open research... but is good to know how they work as they became hidden components of our trading aproach... cheers Walter.
