  1. “The FCC, the Federal Communications Commission, decided all by itself that radio and television were the only two parts of American life not protected by the free speech provisions of the first amendment to the Constitution. I’d like to repeat that, because it sounds… vaguely important! The FCC—an appointed body, not elected, answerable only to the president—decided on its own that radio and television were the only two parts of American life not protected by the first amendment to the Constitution. Why did they decide that? Because they got a letter from a minister in Mississippi! A Reverend Donald Wildman in Mississippi heard something on the radio that he didn’t like. Well, Reverend, did anyone ever tell you there are two KNOBS on the radio? Two. Knobs. On the radio. Of course, I’m sure the reverend isn’t that comfortable with anything that has two knobs on it… But hey, reverend, there are two knobs on the radio! One of them turns the radio OFF, and the other one [slaps his head] CHANGES THE STATION! Imagine that, reverend, you can actually change the station! It’s called freedom of choice, and it’s one of the principles this country was founded upon. Look it up in the library, reverend, if you have any of them left when you’ve finished burning all the books.” (George Carlin, 1988) “To whom do you award the right to decide which speech is harmful, or who is the harmful speaker? Or to determine in advance what are the harmful consequences going to be that we know enough about in advance to prevent? To whom would you give this job? To whom are you going to award the task of being the censor?…To whom you would delegate the task of deciding for you what you could read? To whom you would give the job of deciding for you – relieve you of the responsibility of hearing what you might have to hear? Do you know anyone? Hands up. Do you know anyone to whom you’d give this job? Does anyone have a nominee?” (Christopher Hitchens, 2006) just sayin'
  2. wtf is fascism? Fascism: “Originally, it referred to a totalitarian political movement linked with corporatism which existed in Italy from 1922 to 1943 under the leadership of Benito Mussolini.” See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Definitions_of_fascism etc etc basically - (usually surreptitious) centralization that allows property ‘ownership’ to remain private ?? ... https://libertyblitzkrieg.com/2018/08/07/is-democratic-senator-mark-warner-the-mastermind-behind-move-to-further-weaponize-u-s-tech-giants/#more-53607
  3. RedJoker81, this question is bizarre... I couldn't possibly make an answer anywhere near bizarre enough... anyways I think you should look inward instead of outward for answer(s) to this question. Which one are YOU best suited for? Totally unconscious about it? If that's the case, try both stocks and fx trading at the same time. You'll find out a lot about yourself and the markets and which auctions you can most readily align with... Those who look at trading as a creation of self and systems instead of as a problems to be solved have a much better shot at sticking around.

  6. Nigel Farage is an idiot. Alex Jones is an idiot Farage say things like "while many on the libertarian right and within the conservative movement have their issues with Alex Jones and InfoWars, this week’s announcement by YouTube, Facebook, Apple, and Spotify represents a concerted effort of proscription and censorship that could just as soon see any of us confined to the dustbin of social media history." These platforms that claim to be “open” and in favor of “free speech” are now routinely targeting -- whether by human intervention or not -- the views and expressions of conservatives and anti-globalists. This is why they no longer even fit the bill of “platforms.” They are publishers in the same way we regard news outlets as publishers. They may use more machine learning and automation, but their systems clearly take editorial positions. We need to hold them to account in the same way we do any other publisher. Farage say things like social platforms “ cannot profess to be neutral, open platforms while being illiberal, dictatorial, and hiding behind the visage of a private corporation (which are more often than not in bed with governments around the world at the very highest levels). This isn’t capitalism. It’s corporatism.” and concludes that the real interference in "US democracy" comes not from Russia, but from some of its most powerful corporations which now yield more power in some cases than the government itself: "This isn’t “liberal democracy” as they keep pretending. It’s autocracy." ... "...for those that don’t take issue with the latest censorship of right-wingers by big social media -- unless we take a stand now, who knows where it could end." Meanwhile back at the ranch, Jones can’t say nuttn’. He banned. ... https://usawatchdog.com/elite-closing-down-truth-tellers-paul-craig-roberts/

  8. BullFX BTC itself could 'experience' a 'bankruptcy'... either suddenly or gradually Suddenly could come by blockchain suddenly being digitally totally and completely corrupted beyond recovery. Not possible? Some things to consider : hackers esp those state 'sponsored' (think nsa, etc) can infect any and all connected devices at will and at once... and 'norton' wouldn't help you one bit... more likely they would be complicit... Gradually could come as the economics of the model gradually sink in... blockchain transactions are viciously expensive and slow, the whole process of 'mining' is an energy heavy lottery, etc etc., plus BTC can now be tracked and taxed, etc, etc... ie the initial features and benefits of BTC get gradually chipped away Either suddenly or gradually could come with grid down, etc etc... countless hodlers don't even have their certificates on hard copy... still - BTC is a good 'trade' vehicle ... esp now that there are instruments amenable to shorting it... esp if you like high price variability (more commonly and incorrectly known as volatility) The only 'investors' in BTC are miners. All other participants are 'traders'. BTC selling below mining costs and 'investors' are gone. BTC selling significantly below where individual traders bought and they abandon the trade and the instrument... have a great day, capt obvious

  16. Will, re: "Would the us dollar have to be the base currency????" No. You could do pairs with bases that correlate with usd. In every major dollar move, typically one or more of the currs that corre with usd outperform usd... good luck picking which one(s) this time. ie Typically, if you're taking a position in an instrument it's best to use that instrument... re: "what curecy pairs would you trade? " One option is to do a basket of pairs across from dollar and weight the minor pairs (‘developing’ nations) more than the major pairs (‘developed’ nations). Many members of the major pairs are more correlated with the dollar and (statistically) don’t move as much. That is currently happening during the current usd up move. hth
  17. The painful truth - TTT does not backtest well at all. Plain TTT, 'fractal' TTT, ‘statefull’ TTT, 'filtered' TTT, ‘intelligent’ TTT, whatever - none backtest well. Any successfully applied TTT is ‘artfully’ applied TTT. One other salient point - TTT performance deteriorated over the years ... took a real steep dive circa 93-94 ish and has never come back (except for a couple short random runs)... this is why I say things like “it used to be a good ‘crowd’. It’s not anymore.” zdo PS Don’t listen to zdo
  18. Hazel, It’s the same with crytos as with any market - the next price change is determined by the most motivated participant(s). When motivated buyer(s) take the ask, price up ticks and the ask is moved higher. When motivated seller(s) accept the bid, price down ticks and the bid is moved lower. Whether in slow increments or sudden crescendos, that how all prices move / are “decided”. hth
  19. You can’t understand anything “before deviating”. .. you already deviated. There is no such thing as pure Taylor. Even Taylor himself had no “pure Taylor“ to utilize. Consciously or not, you are already running some variant of TTT in your head. ... ie ... It is impossible to not have your own interpretation... Nothing wrong with that ... and nothing wrong with TTT And it is impossible to have your own interpretation https://www.real.video/5811888545001 btw to believe in TTT you must believe in ‘campaigns’, very short term campaigns in this case... ie you have to be a con spiracy theorist . I should know... I’ve always been a con spiracy theorist ... Sun Tzu wrote “Engage people with what they expect; it is what they are able to discern and confirms their projections. It settles them into predictable patterns of response, occupying their minds while you wait for the extraordinary moment — that which they cannot anticipate.” If you are going to persist with TTT or similar methods, learn to type the auction. That way you’ll know when to and when not to TTT (more generally aka cycles) ie you know when ‘your little’ TTT crowd can still play and when they have to step aside instead of trying to beat down (or up) larger crowds of much more motivated participants... PS Don’t listen to zdo

  23. I have often bitched at and about posters and teachers who claim they are not using a system. I accuse them of lying. Most of them don’t even know they are lying. Here’s why. Just because a method doesn’t employ standard methods - technical or fundamental - does not mean mind is negated, unemployed, non-clinging... non supported. Mind can have two attitudes -- yes or no. These are the two possibilities ... the two alternatives. No is the feminine and yes is the male. No-system is really very foundational. If you follow the method of yes, then there are many systems -- but you have to say yes and there can be many yes's. If you follow no, then there are not many systems, only one, because there cannot be many no's. So you can use the method of no, or you can use the method of yes. Emphasizing "no" is for if your mind needs to and is ready to be negated. What is this technique of "denying technique"? It can be used. It is one of the subtlest ways to destroy the mind. Mind tries to cling to something that is a support; mind needs support to be there, it cannot exist in a vacuum. So it creates many types of supports -- methods, systems, teachers, gurus, advisors -- then it is happy, there is something to cling to. But then with this clinging the mind remains. And this is what makes liars of those who say they are not teaching a system. If a trading teacher instructs you - even if he only takes you so far then deserts you - you are being supported in the ‘yes’ way... btw, bBeing against techniques is a technique. It is one of the oldest techniques, nothing is new about it. The real technique of no-system demands destruction and absence of all supports. In the ‘no’ way, realization has to happen to you and it has to happen without any help. It will not insist that there is no system. There will be silence. No tradition from someone else’s previous progress is of any help because ‘no’ truth has to be achieved authentically, individually. You have to come to it, it cannot be transferred to you. No master can give it to you because it is not something like property. It is not transferable, it cannot be taught because it is not information. The latest craze in dumb noobie posting is about finding the best broker and platform - but the first platform to look at is you. Is yours the ‘yes’ way or the ‘no’ way? The ‘ no’ way has only one technique. The ‘yes’ has hundreds of techniques and you can create new combinations. If you are in need of ANY support, then you should acknowledge that you are in the ‘yes’ way... Taking bets no one will call me out on this crap.
  24. Hi peeps, I'm back in for a few days... making you throb yet? 25 ways Silicon Valley resembles the former Soviet Union Mandatory workplace political education (i.e. Starbucks, Google, Facebook, etc.). The United States as a whole is depicted as evil by default. Workers are viewed as political pawns to be weaponized against political opponents rather than unique creators with their own ideas. You wait for years to receive a car you ordered, only to find it’s of poor workmanship and quality. [and runs on batteries ] You’re told that you’re part of a high-tech utopian sci-fi automated manufacturing mecca, but it turns out you actually work in a giant open-air tent where products are kludged together by hand to meet make believe production goals. Failures are bizarrely upheld as triumphs. (Note all the Obama-era government grant money to now-defunct “green energy” companies that produced nothing.) Lapdog media “journalists” fawn over incompetent leaders while censoring good ideas. Fellow workers are promoted for being the right “class” of protected victim groups rather than anything based on qualifications or competence. This, in turn, leads to the most incompetent leaders rising to the top and running everything into the ground. The currency most people are talking about is fake and worthless. Your abhorrent working and living conditions are justified by bosses who claim you’re “under attack” by whatever named political enemy the Politburo says is responsible for all the problems in the world. (The current boogeyman is Trump.) You’re treated to promises of colonizing the solar system while you toil in drudgery day in, day out, in s##thole collapsing cities covered in human feces and ruled by morons. (San Francisco, anyone?) You get to experience living with five adults in a two-room apartment while being told you’re part of the “resistance” that can only regain power by crashing the economy and driving even more people to desperation. Each day, the amount of money needed to buy a modest home skyrockets compared to your own wages, to the point where “high-tech” workers are the new homeless in California. You’re routinely told you are constructing utopia while the system crumbles around you. ‘Totally not illegal taxi’ taxis by private citizens moonlighting to make ends meet. Everything slaved to the needs of the military-industrial complex. Productivity is largely falsified to satisfy appearance of sponsoring elites. (It’s all fake news, fake innovation, fake market valuations and fake earnings.) Deviation from mainstream narrative carries heavy social and political consequences. (You lose your job and reputation, and you’re blacklisted by other potential employers.) All the central planning failures of the past are said to have occurred only because “the right people” weren’t running things. The future will be bright, you’re told, if only the most radical Leftists are finally given unlimited power to control your life and tell you what to think. Blind conformity is considered a virtue, while individual expression and cognitive diversity are rooted out and punished. This is, of course, all carried out in the name of “progress.” Otherwise extremely intelligent people toil away, just turning the crank because it’s the only way to get ahead in a society that punishes individualism. The plight of the working class is discussed mainly by people who do not work. Everybody runs around demanding to be paid for producing nothing. Today it’s called the “Universal Basic Income,” but it’s really just universal welfare for the dumbed-down masses. The economy is centrally planned, using opaque algorithms not fully understood even by their own creators. “Black box” economics dominates finance discussions as monetary debasement steals wealth from the workers, to be concentrated in the hands of the politically-connected elite. Citizens are told by the fake news media whom to love, whom to hate, how to think, which words are banned and which words are encouraged. Soon, people who used to be men and women find themselves talking like gender-confused fairy-queer trans-morons babbling out complete nonsense. [ that last part doesn't sound very much like 'soviet' to me.. but maybe it was that way, and we just didn't know it... anyways ... ie "Wake away"... ] "All we have to fear, is." You need a good broker? I need a good brexit ... just sayin
  25. hey folks. Back home for a few days and then gone again... Re: USDTRY trade Before I left was stopped out of the short position posted about on May 3 herein. ... so placed resting orders with different brokerage and account to get short again in even larger position. See picture attached for what happened in my absence. Each entry on the USDTRY trade is geometrically larger than the last. Quiz:: Where is average price on the trade? ie don’t tell me revenge trading doesn’t work just kidding! It is definitely not recommended to apply Paroli sizing, especially geometric Paroli, across the board in FX... in fact, if you do apply it generally it is only a matter of time in FX before you go broke. But in specific situations it can be applied ... have already more than recovered first loss, and stops are in the green ... and although the position is not that huge it is still pulling in 4 figures a day in interest... which is why I got into the position to start with... just sayin’ not to be remiss... here’s some real just sayin’ - https://thetollonline.com/2018/06/05/ten-ways-the-democratic-northern-hemisphere-nations-became-the-orwellian-west/ see ya’ll later.
