The June Dow futures contract should be traded from the long side until and after it breaks above 14,823, and as long as it does not move below 14,626 after breaking above 14,823. IMHO.

If you've taken profit on your first contract at 14,698 after buying at 14,505 then use a conservative protective stop now at 14,626 in order to guard your profits as you trade with 14,823 in mind. All the best.

What a move after NFP... I was yesterday several times close to taking a short near/after cash close with a similar reasoning as the last trade (retest of trend line). However, wanted to wait for ON session and NFP in particular as I thought, this might be the safer trade... man, was I right! :) Seeing this aggressive move up, I guess, many took the short before NFP... the big question now is: Will the uptrend, which we saw in the 1st quarter continue? (i.e. no sell in May? :) )

Covered long ES at 1622.50 with a loss. Trend line violated too early for my taste.

I guess, I was too scared giving back some of my nice profits of last week. My original stop was below the low of the day, but I moved it up... :crap:

But I'm not going to chase this market. Waiting for the next trade setup...

I should be given a trophy for outstanding trading performance this week... I've accomplished the incredible feat of generating a loss with a long position this week! Not many can copy that... lol

      Hello guys,
I'm starting to swing trade commodities, especially soft commodities (corn, sugar, coffee, cotton, soybean, ...). I'm also checking gold and oil.
My problem is I'd like to know what is the best broker for trading those markets (regulated, large commodity choice) ? For CFD trading.
I'm thinking of IC MARKETS who are very good with forex and have good trading conditions.
The concern I have is that I need a broker that offers MT4 as a platform, and also I'd like to be able to open mini lots positions for a better risk management.
As a swing trader, I'm less concerned by the spread but looking at the financing fees.
Wish you have a nice day, and thanks in advance.
      Alexandre.

    • Question: To those that had/have cancer, what were the signs that made you think “something is not right here” to make you go see a doctor? Answer: So, 5/25/2018, I woke up, got ready for work, and as I walked to my car, I started gagging. Like something was stuck in my throat and I needed to clear it. And then it went away.   But 10 minutes after that, I was T-boned at 40mph on the driver side door. But what made me see a doctor was while my muscles felt better and bruises were going away, the gagging still continued, I started having fevers, my neck felt swollen, I was having such a hard time breathing, and I'd have random sharp pains in my chest, but not from where the seat belt saved me.   2 weeks after the accident, I finally see an urgent care doctor, who looks me over, tells me I'm fine, but luckily requests a neck X-ray. And I ask for a chest X-ray, which he rolls his eyes but let me have (most of my pain was in the neck, so I understand).   The very next day, he calls and says “So, that chest X-ray shows there's a 4 inch mass on your heart and lungs, and your lungs have been filling up with fluid, as well as in your pericardial (heart) wall. We need you to come in tomorrow.”   Turns out the big mass, due to the accident, caused my heart and lungs to tear and fill with fluid, the swollen neck and gagging was caused by 2 metastasized tumors, and the fevers and weight loss were symptoms. Stage 4b Hodgkin's Lymphoma.   But thankfully, we went very aggressive with chemo (and had a lot of bad side effects that don't normally happen to patients), and now I'm about 16 months cancer-free. Yay lucky X-rays!
