Potential USD/JPY short...

UPDATE: I got filled but not without 5.1 ticks of slippage!! Jeez... I guess it was because of the consumer confidence news. That's some of the worst slippage I've gotten. :(

FINAL UPDATE: Taken out for break-even. The dashed red line is closer to where the stop was actually placed, due to the 5.1 pips of slippage at entry, the 2.4 pip spread, etc.

Thanks for the reponses, iwshares & todds. I appreciate it.

I was just sitting here thinking and came to the realization that all I can do is my best...and hence my primary objective should just be to make my best better!

I can't get so mad at myself and upset as long as I'm doing my best. Hindsight's 20/20. I am well aware that I can't trade like Thales at this point, and I'll never trade perfectly...all I can do is my (current) best.

Potential GU long...

UPDATE: Taken out for a full loss (first one since I started trading/posting consistently a little over 5 weeks ago). You can imagine how I'm feeling right now.

Just reviewing my 1R loss and realized that I was basically going long a tick or so under resistance!

Have you considered trading on longer/different time frames to see if that helps. I trade base on te dailies and really appreciate the breathing room of the Market weekly close. Good work spotting why the trade stopped out, before placing one based on the same setup again

Well, I'm attempting to master day trading, so I pretty much just focus on the 15 minute chart as my primary chart. I like day trading because I feel like with more opportunities (vs swing or position trading), I'm getting more practice.

EDIT: I may someday be forced to focus only on much longer timeframe charts, though! ;)

Good job holding through those pullbacks. What made you hang in there this time?

I just had confidence in the trade I guess. It probably helped that I wasn't at my computer most of the time. I was checking in here and there but I wasn't watching every tick.

Potential EU long...

UPDATE: Filled for profit. Wow that was stressful holding through NFP! haha

UPDATE 2: Wow that profit target could not have been better placed! (I'm not taking credit...I know that was a little lucky! :))

I know it's early but I'm gonna go ahead and call it a week.

attachment.php?attachmentid=24826&d=1307111723

We had a holiday on Monday, then I had a rough start to the week but managed to make it back and then some. Still a whole lot of room for improvement. I'm getting good experience/practice, though. The drawdown and full 1R loss earlier in the week was probably a good thing because it forced me to experience the loss and move through it.

Have a good weekend!

Hi Folks,

I thought it would be interesting if we had a thread where we could all post charts of potential price moves in real time...

So the new management traded the old thread in for a dog ...

Well, she was a fine and good thread. I thank all of you who helped make her so.

Best Wishes,

Thales

Hey didn't mean to offend anyone here ... just that old thread was getting hard to navigate for people. Thanks for creating this great thread ... it isn't closed so you can continue to post on here if you want.

thanks,

MMS

    • Question: To those that had/have cancer, what were the signs that made you think “something is not right here” to make you go see a doctor? Answer: So, 5/25/2018, I woke up, got ready for work, and as I walked to my car, I started gagging. Like something was stuck in my throat and I needed to clear it. And then it went away.   But 10 minutes after that, I was T-boned at 40mph on the driver side door. But what made me see a doctor was while my muscles felt better and bruises were going away, the gagging still continued, I started having fevers, my neck felt swollen, I was having such a hard time breathing, and I'd have random sharp pains in my chest, but not from where the seat belt saved me.   2 weeks after the accident, I finally see an urgent care doctor, who looks me over, tells me I'm fine, but luckily requests a neck X-ray. And I ask for a chest X-ray, which he rolls his eyes but let me have (most of my pain was in the neck, so I understand).   The very next day, he calls and says “So, that chest X-ray shows there's a 4 inch mass on your heart and lungs, and your lungs have been filling up with fluid, as well as in your pericardial (heart) wall. We need you to come in tomorrow.”   Turns out the big mass, due to the accident, caused my heart and lungs to tear and fill with fluid, the swollen neck and gagging was caused by 2 metastasized tumors, and the fevers and weight loss were symptoms. Stage 4b Hodgkin's Lymphoma.   But thankfully, we went very aggressive with chemo (and had a lot of bad side effects that don't normally happen to patients), and now I'm about 16 months cancer-free. Yay lucky X-rays! • As a man, the reality of life is the harshest part. I don’t mind looking older or becoming weaker over time; it’s nature.   Have you ever heard that the only people who will be loved unconditionally are women and children? Men will only be loved as long as they can provide until they are no longer needed. It doesn’t matter if you already did your best to get your kids to the best school or get the best things for them, if you stop before they’re done with it, there will be no thank you. The only thing they will remember is that they have to quit school at 15, ignoring all the previous 15 years of life you provided for them. The only people who will accept you, no matter what, are your parents. But in this situation, you might be that ungrateful child.   EDIT: Wow, I didn’t think this would get so much attention.   For those who disagree, I can only say that everyone has their problem. If you don’t get the chance to face such a thing, be grateful. Remember, sometimes what you throw in the garbage is something that someone wishes ever to have.” – ElZee, Quora   Profits from free accurate cryptos signals: https://www.predictmag.com/
