  1. Yes, the fourth edition has that Chapter 2 you posted... How to Make Money in Stocks: A Winning System in Good Times and Bad, Fourth Edition: William O'Neil: 9780071614139: Amazon.com: Books What I first posted is his most recent incarnation of the book, the "complete investing system," which includes some extras as well as a "bonus chapter" at the end. I believe the primary text of the book is the same as the fourth edition, though. I just have the fourth edition book (orange cover). Highly recommend.
  2. The How to Make Money in Stocks Complete Investing System: Your Ultimate Guide to Winning in Good Times and Bad: William O'Neil: 9780071752114: Amazon.com: Books
  3. Watched the 6th episode of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey with Neil deGrasse Tyson on Hulu yesterday evening...was excited to see Thales (briefly) featured! (Come to find out, it was Thales of Miletus, not Traders Laboratory.) I'd always pronounced it wrong...I always pronounced it like "tails" but with the "th" sound from "three." It's pronounced like "thay-leez," with the "th" sound from "three" (as opposed to the "th" sound from "the").
  4. IMHO, the book is a bit tainted with an anti-HFT bias, hype, and not enough fact checking. Interesting story on IEX, though. Here is a reasonable, interesting article on the more pro-HFT side: Michael Lewis Doesn't Like High-Frequency Traders - Bloomberg View
  5. Just wanted to drop a line to say that OILFXPRO is the real deal. I've been following this thread since the beginning, and went from a small account to current balance of $1,000,000,000. I think I've figured out that the username OILFXPRO is actually a shared username by some (or all) of the very best and legendary traders/investors around the globe (the keepers of the elusive "billionaire indicator").

  7. I'm impressed with how you can whip in and out taking 10 pips with a billion dollar account size. What size are the positions you're taking?
  8. Just when I thought I'd seen it all, someone comes out and actually calls their indicator "the billionaire indicator." LOL :rofl::rofl: In all seriousness, if the indicator really will make one a billionaire, I do want it.
  9. Is that you, Paul Tudor Jones? Jim Simons? Ray Dalio, perhaps? Fact is, if you were who you claim you are, you would not be wasting time here spewing insults and telling everyone how great you are. Your posts offer the reader absolutely nothing. I suspect you are here because you are unhappy with your reality, so you're (doing a poor job at) trying to create an alternate online reality for yourself. Hence, my reference to the song. I don't think any reasonable person would see it any other way. I don't want to waste any more time here, so you may have the last word. Fire away with the insults!
  10. Umm...this is awkward...I should have been more clear...I meant YOU remind me of the song.:rofl: On second thought, I've changed my mind. You probably are very rich and very successful...you clearly have something special. It's not every day someone on a forum like this comes along who claims to be rich and successful, then proceeds to prove it with insults and after-the-fact trading results. This thread is so silly, I honestly suspect it may be a joke.
  11. Reading this thread made me think of this song...
  12. Look at this ad that just appeared on Facebook!!!!! I've decided on the 458 Italia...do you think if I just showed the dealership the ad, they would go ahead and approve the financing now? I'd hate to have to wait.
  13. I'm not ashamed to admit I watched the video. :o Thought it may be entertaining...and it was. Did she actually pronounce it "arbitridge?" And what was that about "liquidy?" Lol! This thread should be redirected to the "joke of the day" thread. (I have a feeling this girl, posing as an "expert" trader with 10+ years experience, was merely cast as a pretty-ish face to read a script in this poorly done video.) Was actually expecting it to promise the secrets to 100% profitable trades, riches beyond your wildest dreams, etc, etc, etc, for $199.99...so at least it wasn't that. haha EDIT: Just caught another one..."automative trading."
  14. I know the thread is a bit dated but I'm just seeing it now...from an interview with a chainsaw juggler... You started with plungers and are now juggling chainsaws. What came in between? Take us through the progression. I only juggled plungers out of necessity because juggling clubs are pretty expensive. Toilet plungers happened to be weighted pretty well for juggling. You just cut a couple inches off of the handles and they work well. Of course, people wanted to see you do something a little more dangerous so I went to knives. I got the knives from the army surplus store. Then I went to machetes. People liked that. Then I went to hatchets. People were into the hatchets but I had to step up. So I went to torches. Torches were a part of my act for many years down on the boardwalk. For many years on Venice Beach, people loved watching me juggle torches. The next step, pretty much was the chainsaws. For a couple years, I juggled one chainsaw with two balls. I had to get a chainsaw in my act, but it took a little bit before I could work my way up to three chainsaws. Just to learn the chainsaws, I didn't turn them on for a while. I had to learn how to juggle chainsaws for a commercial. I only had 10 days to learn how to juggle chainsaws. Finally, when I first turned on the chainsaw I dropped it immediately. The noise, and the smoke and the fact that it was a saw, I just wasn't ready for it yet. I dropped it. I was practicing in a public park. Someone must have called the cops on me, they must have said 'There's some crazy guy down here with a chainsaw.' The cops came over to me and determined I wasn't doing anything illegal. They actually thought it was cool so they watched me and wanted to see me do it. I finally got a few throws in and just kept practicing. Once I got up the nerve to turn it on, I was in good shape. After 10 days of practicing juggling chainsaws, I found out that they never intended for the chainsaw to be running during the commercial - insurance issues. Knock on wood, I haven't really hurt myself to a serious degree since I've begun juggling the chainsaws.
  15. Just wanted to drop a line expressing how much I've appreciated and enjoyed following this thread! Good luck, humbled! -Cory
