I'll Be Out for a Bit

Recommended Posts

I have had some unfortunate events happen this week so I will be out for a while. I'll trade when I can (if I have time) but I probably won't have much time to post for a few weeks (hopefully sooner). I just wanted to post this so people don't think I'm running off like some people. Wish you all well, good trading. I'll be back as soon as I can

Hello James,

of course you don't know me, because I'm new to this site. I read some of your posts, and somehow you are family.

So I just hope that your unfortunate events are not too unfortunate and that you will be able to return soon.

Regards,

Hal

P.S.: Maybe this is not perfect English, but I wish you all the best I can, right from my heart.

The sun will shine again, but maybe, we have to wait some time until ...

Well I'm back. I got back into trading this week and I'm 100% again. February has been one of the most stressful months I've had in a long time and I'm sure my bank account is glad I took the time off :o

One of my closest friends needed my help for a very serious matter and I felt it was best to help. Unfortunately the stress that came with the situation took me out for a while. Last week we went for a long drive through Denver and someone drove into the side of my Mercedes. Somehow I managed to stay calm in the situation and everyone was fine. I was just a little irritated with the situation but over the last year I've learned that at the end of the day it's just a car. It can be fixed, and life moves on.

I was also fortunate to listen to the best speech I've ever heard in my life by one of the Nordstrom executives. He basically talked about going after your passion and simply applying yourself. It was a great motivator for my trading and I'm very glad to be back.

I'm in a Crude Oil position right now, and that's making me some money  Hopefully everyone had a great month and I look forward to posting with everyone again.

No, but I wish I did have a recording. It was nice because it had nothing to do with Nordstrom or sales, but all about your personal passion and pursuing it regardless of where it goes.

He did talk about the story of the original John W Nordstrom. It's a pretty amazing tale of the American dream. He left home in Finland (I think) with less than $200, landed in the US with $5 and worked a few jobs. Over a hundred years later his shoe business that did something like $12 in sales the first day is now a multi-billion dollar company. It was nice to hear the story because it didn't make me want to go out and sell, but it motivated me to keep pushing myself with my trading and various other businesses that I want to start up.

I will see if I can e-mail him and ask him to record a speech of his. I think it would be beneficial to everyone, but I'm not sure he'll let me post it for the world to hear :o

    • Question: To those that had/have cancer, what were the signs that made you think “something is not right here” to make you go see a doctor? Answer: So, 5/25/2018, I woke up, got ready for work, and as I walked to my car, I started gagging. Like something was stuck in my throat and I needed to clear it. And then it went away.   But 10 minutes after that, I was T-boned at 40mph on the driver side door. But what made me see a doctor was while my muscles felt better and bruises were going away, the gagging still continued, I started having fevers, my neck felt swollen, I was having such a hard time breathing, and I'd have random sharp pains in my chest, but not from where the seat belt saved me.   2 weeks after the accident, I finally see an urgent care doctor, who looks me over, tells me I'm fine, but luckily requests a neck X-ray. And I ask for a chest X-ray, which he rolls his eyes but let me have (most of my pain was in the neck, so I understand).   The very next day, he calls and says “So, that chest X-ray shows there's a 4 inch mass on your heart and lungs, and your lungs have been filling up with fluid, as well as in your pericardial (heart) wall. We need you to come in tomorrow.”   Turns out the big mass, due to the accident, caused my heart and lungs to tear and fill with fluid, the swollen neck and gagging was caused by 2 metastasized tumors, and the fevers and weight loss were symptoms. Stage 4b Hodgkin's Lymphoma.   But thankfully, we went very aggressive with chemo (and had a lot of bad side effects that don't normally happen to patients), and now I'm about 16 months cancer-free. Yay lucky X-rays! • As a man, the reality of life is the harshest part. I don’t mind looking older or becoming weaker over time; it’s nature.   Have you ever heard that the only people who will be loved unconditionally are women and children? Men will only be loved as long as they can provide until they are no longer needed. It doesn’t matter if you already did your best to get your kids to the best school or get the best things for them, if you stop before they’re done with it, there will be no thank you. The only thing they will remember is that they have to quit school at 15, ignoring all the previous 15 years of life you provided for them. The only people who will accept you, no matter what, are your parents. But in this situation, you might be that ungrateful child.   EDIT: Wow, I didn’t think this would get so much attention.   For those who disagree, I can only say that everyone has their problem. If you don’t get the chance to face such a thing, be grateful. Remember, sometimes what you throw in the garbage is something that someone wishes ever to have.” – ElZee, Quora   Profits from free accurate cryptos signals: https://www.predictmag.com/
