This is one of the few futures publications that I will read. It's not fluff stuff like you see in many of the other 'newbie' trading publications, but it publishes hard numbers and what's going on behind-the-scenes.

Unfortunately having to field a few calls from brokers/vendors will be the price of admission....but hey that's what caller ID is for...

LOL

If they do sell the info Reav, I haven't noticed. Maybe some spam emails, but it's been awhile since I've gotten a prospecting call.

Cool, yeah I can handle spam emails...no biggie. Calls annoy me though. LOL

I never answer from numbers I don't recognize...I have adapted to this reality...keeps me from being rude to people who are just doing their job. I know it's their job, but it still pisses me off when someone throws me a sales pitch like I'm an idiot. LOL

I've had a free subscription for a while, it really is a good read. I especially enjoy the top 30 under 30 :) I like to read about some of the younger traders that appear in the magazine, it gives me a little more motivation to see other people a few years older than me trading and being successful.

This is slightly off-topic, but if any of you have any interest Fortune had a great article in the most recent magazine about Goldman Sachs GSAMP mess and how they actually made money with it.

In my opinion Trader Monthly is pretty silly because of its advertisements.

It's a subtle lure to get people trading with big dreams with their head in the clouds instead of at the table.

:o Sorry Brownsfan, I wasn't paying attention. Trader Monthly really has nothing to do with trading, but it still makes me motivated to see young people who are successful. It brings up my competitive edge ;)

As far as Futures magazine goes, it's a great one as well. I got a free one at the last seminar I went to. It was like a month old so a lot of the info was out of date (talking about big picture stuff like where the dow was at). But I liked it overall.
