  1. Hi Trader J, You can do following things. 1) Divide your capital into 5 parts of $2 lac 2) Diversify your investment among different asset classes like Equity, Commodity, Real Estate, Fixed Income Plans and Retirement Plan 3) Breakdown your Equity Capital into three categories as Low risk, Medium risk and High risk 4) You should use your High risk capital for Intraday or scalping, Use your Medium risk capital for Short term trades ranging from 5 days to 10 days and use your low risk capital to invest for medium term period of 3-6 months by following Warren Buffet style. 5) Invest your Commodity capital in parts i.e make a rule that you would buy Gold whenever it dips 5%-10%. Remember being disciplined is very important. 6) Invest your Real Estate capital in buying a peace of land or invest in some business which can give you regular returns. Do let me know if you need any other help. Have a nice day.. Pushpa
  2. My first trade for today is short AMZN for intraday with an stoploss of $270 for an target of $263,$258
  3. I will start posting my pre-market and post market views along with stocks which I traded previous day. To start with I would trade on Equity and futures and would slowly move onto options. Feel free to comment on my trades and I would be more than happy to clarify if someone has a doubt. I trade based on trend, support, resistance and news. I usually use Daily and Intraday charts with different time frames to filter and scan my stocks. Entries: I define a successful Buy/Sell based on: 1- A double bottom/top, Overbought, Oversold, News and lot of other factors. 2- Increase or Decrease in Volume Some rules to be followed: 1- Always exit when your stoploss hits 2- Don’t be emotionally attached to any stock 3- Always revise your stoploss whether you are long or short. 4- Don’t Overtrade 5-Print these rules and keep reading Happy Trading and let's rock the bourses...
  4. Following things to be taken care while choosing a mentor.. 1) Person should have good experience of trading and a success rate of 90% plus. 2) Person should be willing to coach and groom you as a trader 3) Person should be easily approachable 4) Flair for teaching is very important 5) Above all as a mentee you should have high regards and respect for your mentor that's when you would be able to incorporate and accept whatever he is saying. Trading is not only a skill but also an art...Hope this helps.
  5. I find Let your profits run to be most difficult as there is always a fear somewhere back of my mind which says that market might fall tomorrow hence don't hold the position...So always book out early. One more thing which i have learnt from my experience is having a discplined approach along with trailing stop loss always helps you in getting higher profits.
  6. Hi, GOOG, AAPL and AMZN would be the best picks in technology pack along with few stocks like BAC, JPM, WFC in banking domain which are highly active. Regards, Pushpa
  7. Swing traders and investors make lot of money as they are patient enough to wait and are very disciplined in their approach. Where as a scalper can get carried away with the profits which he make.
  8. Discpline and stop loss is something which is very important in trading...I still remember that day when i was emotionally holding on to a stock which had hit the stoploss and lost quite a bit of my money being lost...from that day i realized that market has its own way of teaching you and if you are not disciplined then you cannot earn money.
  9. Hi, Can anyone tell me which is the best free charting software for Intraday for US stocks. Regards, Pushpa
  10. APPL is facing lot of selling pressure at higher levels and not able to cross $545 on closing basis. For AAPL to move up it would need to cross $545 in short term with high volumes and sustain for two consecutive days. Sell AAPL in short term for an target of $500 and $480 with an sl of $540
  11. Hi Chris Tina, The best setup for intraday would be a 15 min chart with 20 Day EMA and 5 day slow stochastics along with RSI. Do try this and let me know how it works. Regards, Pushpa
  12. Gold is all set to move up after correcting and consolidating in last week. Upside target of $1660 and $1675 in short term cannot be ruled out.
  13. Down Jones industrial is near its top in short term and very soon it can correct...
  14. Z (Zillow Inc) has given breakout on both daily and weekly charts..It is all set to go up in short term. Target in the range of $33-$36 cannot be ruled out.
