  1. The Railroad Tracks QuoteBoard (RRT QB) was created in response to a request from a user in order to plot many time- and date-sensitive prices that are also plotted by a Railroad Tracks indicator provided by DTI. The RRT QB plots the following short term and long term values quickly and easily. Short Term: Yesterday's Day Session High, Low, and Open. Overnight High, Low, and Open. Day Session High, Low, and Open. Europe Open. NY After Lunch Open. Long Term: Open of All Twelve Months. Year High and Low. Month High and Low. Weekly High, Low, and Open. http://www.linnsoft.com/rrt Chad

  8. I am actually in the process of creating a web page to assist Investor/RT users with Forex setup. The information I've assembled on this page may be helpful to those who have entered this thread. I will add any valuable information from this thread to my page as it is posted. Also, if you find any inaccurate information please let me know. Thanks. Investor/RT - Forex Markets
  9. JPJ Trading is having a free trial in his voice/video room this week if anyone wants to get a good feel for what goes on in there: www.linnsoft.com/jptrial. JP primarily trades the ES using Market Profile charts.
  10. This video demonstrates several steps users can take periodically to keep Investor/RT running as healthy, lean, fast, and efficient as possible. Users are recommended to perform a tune-up every 1-2 months if not more frequently. www.linnsoft.com/tuneup Regards, Chad Payne Senior Software Engineer Linn Software, Inc. www.linnsoft.com Follow us on Twitter
  11. try... y = 1 - ( 1 / (x + 1) ) y will get closer and closer to 1 as x increases but will never reach 1. or starting at 1 and approaching 0 but never reaching it... y = 1 / (x + 1)
  12. With Investor/RT, you can setup each symbol to grab the weekly and/or monthly bars from the data vendor. However, by default, it grabs the daily bars and then forms the weekly or monthly bars from the daily bars. This tends to work better for the vast majority of data feeds and specifically for DTN IQFeed. If you need any help getting setup up with the software, Dude, just email me at support@linnsoft.com
  13. Here is what I'm seeing for weekly bars of @EDU10 vs @EDU11: Images | ChartHub.com It appears the EuroDollar is much more liquid/active 1 year out than contracts like the ES. But does that look correct to you, dude? There is one thing to keep in mind, Investor/RT creates the weekly and monthly charts from daily bars. So we are downloading the daily bars (not the weekly or monthly bars) and then forming the weekly bars from that daily data. So it may be that DTN's weekly bars represent the continuous contract while the daily bars properly represent the contract requested. Chad
  14. Here is a weekly chart on Crude Oil continuous contract, QCL#, going to 2002 (Investor/RT with data from DTN): Images | ChartHub.com Is that not what you're looking for?
  15. DTN is now providing pre-adjusted data (to remove calendar spreads/gaps) for continuous futures contracts. (DTN IQFeed and DTNMA users). This makes life much easier on those users doing longer term composite volume profiles. To learn how to to configure Investor/RT to automatically download this pre-adjusted data, visit: http://tinyurl.com/29abvxj This method can also be used in MarketDelta (10.2.5). I have created a video which demonstrates auto-adjusted DTN data and answers many questions on topic: http://tinyurl.com/2buzfgm (11mins) Chad

  21. Slope is best defined as change per bar, IMO, when it comes to the slope of price or technical indicators. MACD - MACD.1 If you define slope in "degrees", then the slope will change when you zoom the chart, resize the chart, rescale the chart, etc, Even though the change per bar remained constant.
  22. Video 5 in Series "Fading the VWAP Bands" is now available: "Tightening Stops: Locking In Profilts: www.linnsoft.com/fade In this fifth video, we look at moving our stop up to break even after hitting our initial 5 point target in order to lock in profits. The option of adding to our position instead of exiting when prices comes back to our entry price was discussed. We concluded by discussing some enhancements to the VWAP indicator that should benefit our system as well as how we plan on moving forward.

Video 4 ,"Scaling Out: Adding a Second Target", completed in series "Fading the VWAP Bands: Idea Thru Automation" In this fourth video, we continue to refine and optimize the system by adding a second target at 5 points to lock in profit. This change increased our ratio of winning trades to losing trades substantially. Investor/RT - Fading the VWAP Bands (15 mins)
