  1. Urma, daedalus' question was, I believe, directed to Tooker, not you.
  2. davewolfs, please post shots of your charts.
  3. Close enough. In the spirit of which this forum was founded; namely, traders helping traders, how about posting the code your using?
  4. So what? You have a great indicator and the rest of the world doesn't. Good for you and bad for us. Why do you get such pleasure rubbing it in our faces? We recognize your superiority and mastery over the markets. Poor retail schlebs like us aren't as blessed or gifted. We all understand your theory and how the indicator supports it, but give it a rest already. Unless you open up the kimono (which you said you won't), there is nothing more to be learned by plastering the forum with these charts day after day. What your doing here is exactly the same thing you did at ET and you got banned for it.
  5. May the force be with you, my son.
  6. Forgive me for being lazy. I haven't read this thread in months after discovering the OP's unprofessionalism and true colors. Have any of you addressed the fact that there is no way to determine whether these trades you're so closely examining are open or close positions and how much is related to hedging? Lastly, despite the fact this was presented as part of other Holy Grail indicators created by a consortium of genuises who operate in secrecy (how very Da Vinci codesque) no one has discussed whether he/she has become more profitable from this effort. Profit? Who cares about profit?
  7. A 100% mechanical system is not only doable, but should be on every trader's to do list. A mechanical system with a positive expectancy is the closest thing you'll find to the Holy Grail. If it is optimized to run 24/7, all the better. It's like owning a casino without having to bring the suckers through the door. Just make sure you are adequately capitalized for those inevitable draw downs.
  8. If you are on NT sim and you want realistic fills, you must set it to "Enforce partial fills."
  9. I am also curious if this wonderful data translates into consistent profits. My intuition tells me it doesn't.
  10. 95% of all who climb into this ring get knocked out and most of them are very bright and highly successful in another field. All those skillsets don't apply in this business. If you want to take a flier and have money to burn give it a try.
  11. The allure of making big bucks in your underwear, quitting before lunch and then living a country club lifestyle is the dream. It doesn't matter one iota how successful you are doing other things or how smart you are when it comes to trading. The odds are you will end up failing. 95% of all who enter this business fail. Discretionary trading is brutal and automated is less brutal. My sincere advice is to go down this road unless you have significant liquid assets and are prepared to lose. If you want to take a flier and lose say 15% and then call it quits, fine. Also be advised that you will not have success buying any of the systems, seminars, and software peddled to the public.

For those of you who trade Oil
  14. TMS (Trading Made Simple) is my only method. It uses two Ringling Bros. moving averages and a no-lag reverse latency Ouija dinglehopper on a higher timeframe which was created by a couple mensa twins in Monaco. Fired two ES trades today and works in most instruments in any rangeframe Feel free to reverse engineer this. May all your trading dreams come true.
  15. This is all very fascinating and begs the question, since the entire methodology is computer based: why do you need to train traders or even have any to possibly muck it up with emotion and discretion? In other words, why not simply auto-trade all markets 24/7 or during whatever timeframes are optimal? Lastly, throughout all your most generous posts, there are no indications of what sort of profits or success ratios all this hard work now generates. Care to enlighten us further?
  16. I don't know if link posting is allowed here, so look in Trading Advisory Services section in mypivots.com
  17. Apparently, a few of the members of mypivots have figured out the basic indicators behind Viper Trading Systems, all of which are available for free from NT. For those who are interested, read the thread and save yourself $99 a month for these out-of-the-can indicators. These vendors must think all traders are imbeciles and naive.
  18. Anyone here try to replicate the Viper trading system (not copyrighted)? On mypivots forum a poster claimed it was a 21 period linear regression line with a colorslope algo and Heiken Ashi lookalike.

    YM Scalper

Right. I'm not enamored with YM in general and won't trade it live; ditto for the NQ, TF or any of the other E-mini financial indexes. I would like to tame the ES only because it is liquid, but that is a double edge sword. I haven't thrown in the towel on it, but with many other alternatives, I'm not breaking my back to find a system either. Anyway, the early test results on CL, ZB, and EC are promising as scalper systems running 24/7. I like the idea of making money while sleeping at night.

    YM Scalper

diablo, the system enters only on limit orders. Clearly, after hours the market is very thin and your suggestion is constructive. The good news is less than 10% of the trades are triggered after hours. I am also testing the system on the ES, EC, CL and FGBL as well, with different profit and stop parameters adjusting to their respective volatility. My early takeaway is the ES is not as successful using the system as the other instruments. I attribute this to the overall lack of professional traders in those other markets.
  21. I backtested a system that runs 24/7 on the YM with an 8 point target and an 8 point stop. In a typical month, the system generates approximately 120 trades with an 85% win rate. The next step is to code it to auto-trade on NT. I am curious to get your opinion how many contracts per trade the YM could handle before slippage becomes an issue.
  22. There you go again for the fourth time plugging TradeStation sans their ad. Was it your intent to hijack this thread to talk up TS or was it an accident?
  23. I think sports betting and particulary horseracing with the over the top rake is for suckers unless one has inside information.
  24. Dear UB, How is your horseracing and sports betting system going?
  25. I tried for free for a month and found it worthless if not detrimental. The great majority of these Internet marketed indicators are simply repackaged oldies in a brand new color or format. And the greater the get rich marketing hype on the website, the worse they are, regardless of the selling price.
