Forex Trading On Funds Provided by Others

Recommended Posts

I received an email (unsolicited) from this company. I have never traded the Forex. Is this a scam? Why would they do this? Anyone ever heard of Apiary Investment fund? Here is the link they sent me. They claim to teach one to trade the Forex and they will provide the funds.

Thanks for any info or knowledge you may have on this company or offer.

I am not sure if I am allowed to post a link like this on the forum? Actually I have never started a thread at all on Traders Laboratory, to my knowledge. I am mostly a lurker with an occasional post of my own. If posting this link isn't allowed I guess the moderator will take it off. In such a case I think one could just google the company. Apiary Investment Fund. I never heard of them before.

"Why would they do this? "

but wait, send no money now, there is more.

If you complete our course we may give you money to trade....course costs $X

Or you put in 25, we put in 100, when you loose 25 we cut you.

Plus you trade via against our market makers......

On saying that funds/prop houses are always looking for people, so blinkers on, blinkers off.

I would imagine that the trader receiving 20-30% of profits is generous..:2c:

Too vague at this level for me to have an opinion:

What is the cost of the course?

What amount of capital will you be allowed to trade with?

Under which conditions: broker, instruments, trading plan, draw down etc. ?

This is almost certainly a scam arrangement.

But I can tell you that trading others' money is so much more Stressful than trading your own money. Especially if the account holder is a Micro-Manager type of personality.

Personally, I find it much easier to take risk, and take responsibility if it's my own money.

You must be able to take Risk in order to Profit. And if you are hamstrung by somebody looking at your results every single day, you're unlikely to do well at all.

Even if you trading for a good friend, s/he's always looking over your shoulder...

Trade your own funds if at all possible.
