Looking Opinions on Options Brokers

Recommended Posts

Do you like their platform?

yes....like anything you have to learn it and there is a lot of information there. they do offer paper trading accounts on request and they have lots of checks and alerts you can turn on to stop you from having fat finger typo errors.

I dont trade lot of option contracts now, but as an ex market maker who did use electronic systems theirs is very good - it was derived from or works in conjunction with Timberhill the options market maker as they are owned by IB.

Tams, maybe it's just me but you always seem pissed off, here's a smile for you :) have a fun weekend. I love your sig. It fits in with one of the philosophies I use "There's 3 sides to every story: your's, mine, and the truth; you have to know your's and mine to know the truth."

In case of options bcos of high leverage one must only do when fully conversed with futures or stocks.

I have tested few brokers all nice but heavy commissions.

If you want no frills but lousy platform try optionshouse.com

I have had big losses due to their website based platform crashing in past 4 years yet I dint close my account despite having lost over 100k with them. They are most unfriendly yet the only thing was a focused site on options with clear options chains and order execution.

So if you are just going to fill orders and you have your own charting resources options house is good. But if you are not computer savvy and cant handle website based platform its useless.

I have heard that interactive and options express is good but high priced

I want to try a new brokerage with a good platform. May be I will try tradestation.
