Coding Usernames or User ID

Hi

 

Can someone help me to add some code into my indicator so that it can only be used by a singel username or userID.

 

Im giving cutom indicators a go!

try this:

 

 

if getuserid = xxxx then

begin

 

xxxx being the intended user's ID.

 

 

 

and then save the code in encrypted format.

 

 

 

note:

encrypted code is not 100% protected... it can be reverse-engineered.

compiled code offers more protection.

note: make sure you have a copy of the source code before you encrypt anything... otherwise you are pwnd if you lost your encryption key.

hi i just tried

 

if getuserid = 123456 then

begin

 

 

and it tells me "getuserid" not recognised.

 

Am i being thick?

sorry, my mistake.

 

getuserid is for MultiCharts only.

 

 

For TradeStation, use CustomerID.

you can add one more protection into the code:

 

Time Limit

 

If computerdatetime < 40178 then begin

 

 

 

40178 is the number of days since 1900.

 

 

i.e. the code will expire and stop working on January 1, 2010.

1081231 equals to 2009 December 31 i get the last 4 digitals but how is 108 equal to 2009?
