  1. Pretty much ETF's and Stocks. I will trade inverse ETF's instead of buying put options if the market takes a significant downturn but prefer to trade upside and stick with major sector ETF's and bond and emerging market / intl ETF's. I also will take advantage of x2 and x3 leveraged ETF's when the market is right.

  3. Hi Trading Wizards, I am currently an unemployed software engineer who has been out of work for a while and I started using Fidelity's Active Trader platform to start getting much more proactive building up my rather modest IRA / Roth / 401K / Cash brokerage accounts. I am having a good deal of success so far but I am making a lot of decisions manually watching the market for good buy / sell points and would like to try some software to automate some trades and just start learning about backtesting automated trading. I am 53 years old and have a moderate amount of experience investing over the years but the new technology and security offerings (ETF's, x2 / x3 leveraged and inverse leveraged index funds, etc.) make investing more interesting and potentially more profitable for those who can use them wisely and eventually develop a sound and consistent approach to generating profit. My accounts are with Fidelity so I am currently pretty familiar with their Active Trader platform and starting to delve into the Wealth-Lab Pro software. The strategies included with in the box with the Wealth-Lab package are good to get me started but most of them are in need of some additional tweaking and minor modifications before I would try using them on the market for real. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated especially if anyone is familiar with these software products!
