    hi

What's the best book on understanding candlestick patterns? I imagine understanding candlesticks would complement Walter's S&R scalping method. Thanks.
  2. Hi Walter, You mentioned about using tight stops, typically how large is your stop? Are your stops a few ticks behind the support and resistance line? How do you determine how much to risk on each trade as a scalper? Thank you.
  3. Hi Walter, The videos are great!! Thanks so much for taking the time to share this information. I'm really enjoying this stuff and look forward to seeing new videos. These videos are answering the questions I have about support and resistance. Thank you.
  4. Hi Walter, I'm using Ensign software so the templates will not work. Do you know if anyone has designed a template of your moving average for Ensign? Thanks.
  5. Hi Walter, Thanks alot for the great videos. You have shared lots of ideas, I really appreciate it. What kind of moving average is the green line? Thank you. Feel free to make more videos if you have the time. I really love this kind of information that is based on price action and support and resistance trading.
  6. Thanks Walter. I want to make sure I understand your comments. Are you saying that once a level is drawn it stays valid throughout the day? It doesn't matter if price passes straight through it the first time around, it could become provide support or resistance later on in the day? I guess my question comes down to knowing how long a level stay valid and when do you decide its time to erase that level off the chart? Sorry to bombard you with so many questions. I really like this topic. Thanks again.
  7. WalterW, thanks for sharing this information. I just have a few questions. How many bars do you generally look for in the V pattern? I imagine the more bars the better. What about when you have a small V pattern that consists of three or four bars would you draw a horizontal line on something like this? What criteria do you use to determine the important levels? Thank you.
  8. I'm kind of confused. Why would a hedge fund manager want to see charts? A fund manager doesn't care about the method you use to trade. They want to know if you are a successful trader and how long have you been successful. A Fund manager may want to see the number of trades you typically take in a day to get a sense of the type of trader you are. Most important are statements from your broker showing your profits and losses over a long period of time.
  9. His comments about the dangers of stress are right on the money.
  10. Is it possible to day trade the markets without the use of any indicators ? What I'm referring to just a chart with bars or candles and nothing else. Do you know of anyone that can personally trade effectively this way?
  11. I just checked out jpjtrading.com and see his monthly subscription is $400/month. This seems rather high considering it doesn't include one-on-one training.
  12. Typically traders that have a Kamikaze style of entering trades and don't use stops have deep pockets.
  13. Does anyone watch CNBC while trading? Does watching financial news help a daytrader in any way?
  14. For those of you that trade for a living, do you hang out in an online trading room (chat or voice) during the day or trade quietly at home without the company of other traders? I ask this question because trading is boring and can be a lonely career. How do you prevent yourself from getting bored? Do you listen to the radio or music while trading? For those of you that hang out in a trading room, where is it located? Thanks.
  15. What are the different ways of using the TICK for day trading the emini futures (YM, NQ, or ES)? I personally trade the NQ and sometimes YM and I'm looking for ways to incorporate the TICK into my trading. I have tried the TICK hooks outlined in the video but I find it gets me into trades late at times. Are there other ways of using the TICK? Thank you.
  16. I'm too old for martial arts.
  17. Thanks Walter. Your suggestion of using Internet Explorer works. I will check out Mt4. I forgot one other question. If someone wants to trade using a 1 hour chart as the trigger, what time frame would you use for the trend? Or if you use a 1 hour chart for the trend, what time frame do you use for the trigger? Thank you.
  18. Hi Walter W, I'm unable to watch any of the videos psoted. I click to open and my computer will ask what program do I want to use. What program do I need to download to watch the videos? Do you or another forum member have a template for Ensign software by any chance? Any suggestion on how to apply the indicators to a different software from what you are using. Thank you.
