  1. How about this one: The Art of Contrary Thinking ? Thanks
  2. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try and read the other books of his. So, the hard work barrier might be the main culprit. Aha!
  3. I am really amazed. The very instant you come in contact to the trading world, you are submerged with books, starting with Livermore's Roso. But you can spend years without the farthest allusion of Humphrey's existence and books. Is it because of the equipment required? or the long period needed for training? or plain conspiration not to push the book to far in the spotlights? by who?
  4. Can't remember Weinstein discussing tape reading in the book I read.
  5. You have 4 types of trades: good, bad, profitable and losers. You should always try to take but the good trades, as qualified by your system. But as always theory is so easily stated. I recently missed 2 great trades that were signaled, as I lacked confidence
  6. Can't agree with the last one, but I am certainly missing the context. One trade should never matter that much, since the outcome is never guaranteed in a game of probabilities.
  7. Hi Bakrob, thank you for sharing some real life info. I saw your profile on the TST recruits page, sitting on the bow of your boat. I passed my skipper exam last month so could appreciate. Did you need to have any condition customized? How are you faring so far? Do you have an idea what time it will take for you to getting funded?
  8. Wow! Nico's got it right this time. Well done!
  9. Okay but right now I am already with a sexier candidate that i'm sure will seduce you as well: lean hogs, long.
  10. Hi Michael, and welcome! When you say that some conditions can be customized, does that include over night positions in some products that don't gap much ?
  11. Problem is it is not willing to go beyond 400 since months.
  12. Hi Dun, I hope that low in the yen is already here. I am short 2 yen crosses.
  13. I didn't check the dates at all at entering. The setup just seemed so sexy and I jumped on it headlessly Well, it was all okay thru the rollover until I moved my stop one day too early. You will see it on a chart, the most recent pin bar is where I got out. Yet another chance to sit tight missed.
  14. This dumb still can't follow your calculations, Predictor. The page shows allowed starting trading capital of 30k to 150k, with daily weekly and overall loss limits. Nothing extraordinary imho, every investor has his requirements to safeguard his money. All you are bringing to the business is your ability to trade consistently profitably and take 60 to 80% of the profits. You can only achieve this by taking but close to perfect set ups and constantly managing your risk.
  15. A loss limit is relative to a trading capital, I thought. How can you have a loss limit if the capital doesn't exist?
  16. I had small losses in gold and G/A.The pair that succeeded was N/J. Was in for two weeks, then could no longer resist the massive gain pressure and trailed the stop too close and it got triggered. In retrospect I am wondering if I should not have added to the position instead. It is up 100 more pips since I went out. Another "sit tight" occasion missed.
  17. Ni dieu ni maître I no longer have a god to converse with, since I made all them redundant years ago. Now I have but myself for help, and a few mates, like Ingot. "You should never put a head above yours, not even my head" Buddha Gotama
  18. Not the same party at all, a pity. But don't let one black swan fool you
  19. Ingot! I thought you were a brother? Now you are abandoning this sick and lame baby antelope to hungry agile cheetahs in the plain :frustrated:. Pater noster qui est in caelis...
  20. Judging by the latest developments, you are not wrong . Thank you
  21. Thanks Dun. Looks like shorting chf/jpy might be a good idea then. Let's see Any comment re. gold? Completely lost we that one.
  22. Many thanks for the link Well, it is better to imitate big minds than to improvise poorly, don't you think?
  23. Good day Sir, I thought London session was more important than New york? I can trade both but I prefer to enter my trades during LS. Why sould I not enter a longer term trade during volatile sessions? If short term trades can survive, so can long term ones, no? Kuokam
