Large bid imbalance 11.50ish... not being taken out.. approx met profit target for today.. not going to push it... short interest is decreasing... we may get another test higher for a short

Very interesting dynamic.. had nearly 5k contracts print on 13 buy side and then market moves lower as replenishing offer exhaust buying.. This was nearly 1/2 the short interest. Indicates that much of buying was short covering from HFT bots... lower still

FV right now is 11.50 at best...

Taken off/added since last post... confidence is higher now of a retest lower. Some traders adding at 13... when 13 is taken out then we should a nice 1-3 point move lower

I'm filled at 13.25.... this is a 1 shot for me. I will offer a bit more at 14.75

Most of the patterns in the market are caused by algorithms. There is a pattern that tends to mark the high and low of day that can be observed in our software. The pattern sets up as follows (for highs): 1. A large imbalance occurs in the book (offer) at high 2. A surge in buying either takes out that imbalance or eats into it. Typically this is 1 or 2 points above a recent obvious high. 3. A replenishing offer creates an area of high volume in the chart which is predominately buying 4. A surge in market selling occurs that is far beyond the normal for the day. 5. HOD is usually in. A HOD in my book doesn't mean HOD for all day but at least for several hours and often for the day. I read this pattern many times using my specialized tape reading software. There are other patterns too -- such as large pulls after selling and a market jumping higher. I don't think it is possible to exploit an individual algorithm but understanding the aggregate is very key. There are always people behind the algorithms. A big realization has hit me since we released our software. It makes a lot of things make sense to me that didn't before. First, I always had in mind that I would sell to already profitable traders and professionals and that would be my primary market. This is why I didn't understand people trying to question my ability to trade or trying to somehow make me prove my software would make them money because my software was designed for the professional and semi professional trader. In a word: my software was designed for the strong and not the weak. Now since we released the software, I've many requests for training and education. I was discussing this with my partner and he said well which do you want to be an education vendor or a software vendor? In all honesty, it was my only thought that the professional would see we had a superior program and would be happy to subscribe to my product. We do have some professional traders who've came on board and said they yes agree with my assessment. But we've also had a lot of people wanting basic training. But it really hit me.. how people view things differently then I did. And, I think my partner is right that there is way more interest in training and such.On the other hand, if we just support the professionals then there will be less support and more money per unit of work.
