Change of Performance Bond Requirement

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Most likely it´s a dumb question, but I couldn´t find anywhere an answer.....

I understand how margin works and that it does change based on the volatility.

According to CME they will provide at least 24 hrs. prior the change a notification in advance.

To my questions:

Is there somehow a way at the CME website to receive the advisory notes just for predefined set of commodities?

When refering to their email subscription list I can just select one sector, assuming CME then will just provide me notifications for that particular sector. How you guys have this setup?

What actually happens to an open position when margin will be increased? Will the previous opened position still be handeld with the previous margin amount, or does it affect the previous opened position as well?

thanks a lot for helping on this
