Reminiscences of Blown Up Accounts

Recommended Posts

I have been trading for around 6 years. I had 4 years actual blown accounts to zero. Main reason was not my trades but my style didn't match my trading instruments. I was using options to trade an intraday stock trading method. I have found that options decay faster than the value acheived in reaching the price target neting a negative trade.

I saved enough money to start leveraged stock trading. On my first year stock trading I traded up $8900 (+59%) and then traded down to being only up 1800 (+12%) at the end of the year. I was happy that it was my first year. This is my second year trading straight stock and I hope trade high and stay high this year. Over the previous years I had lost around $5000 so I am close making an overall positive career. This year, I have been 9 of 12 positive trades for Jan2011. I am doing a reset on Jan,31 and I will start Feb2011 new and keep grinding. good luck.

ADVICE: DON'T TRADE OPTIONS!!!! ITS A LOSING GAME. STOCKS WILL DO BEST.

I trade individual stock and no index or anything else. All stocks I trade are over $30 and have atleast 12 quarters or earning history to allow for trending ratios and must have an active derivatives market to allow for identifying pricing disconnect.
