  1. I'm talking long term over many years. I couldn't say when so I'm not advocating a trade.

    I'm a buyer/holder on dips/extreme sell offs. I like it when gold tanks 5%. That usually gets me interested, but I wait for support levels before buying.

    I'm not a buyer here, maybe under 1500.


  2. I wasnt a big apple fan but recently picked up an iphone 4. What a bit of kit. They are just superb. When ipad r2 comes out ill pick one of them up too.

     

    I can concur that bloomberg and tws mobile are good apps. I also have reuters insider, cnbc real time, sky news, financial times, etc etc the list goes on.

     

    I would says they are very good at news but not so hot on the charts.

     

    Take the plunge you wont regret it.

     

    One thing, check you get decent reception using a free sim card in your area before you sign up or 3g might not be so good (thats for data).


  3. Well, i plumped to create call the user back to get the BarColor/Line Type/Style.

     

    There is a callback with the devicecontext, which should enable elaborate programming using WinGDI plot libraries, making indicators like market profile possible (for experienced programmers).

     

    See Version 2.0.7.7.


  4. You can get Visual C++ for free from here with which you should be able to open the sample project and create a dll.

     

    Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition

     

    If i was to expose the device context (this is the plot area in c++ speak), you could pretty draw anything you want, profiles, indicators, bars etc.

     

    However the tricky bit is how to tell the custom indicator about the scaling in use on the device context (in order that you indicator can relate pixels to prices).

     

    Im still thinking about that ! :)


  5. Hi, Im looking to add custom painting on top of the new C++ custom indicators. Currently in beta (you can download on the site).

     

    Right now im looking to add custom plot features. What is it important to add at this stage. Should i add an individual callback for each bar to paint it? See the base class and the extra feature in bold.
