  1. late on this entry, recognized the bar, seen the whole data sweep before but still slow to trust things. Amazing how some setups repeat themselves over and over. Images | ChartHub.com
  2. This is the first day of plotting these kind of bars. EL(or anyone that cares to), if you see this I was wondering if you could offer any enlightenment on them. They seem to be significant when the high volume node is at one extreme and the bar close is the other way. TIA Images | ChartHub.com
  3. short 116550, T1 116350, not much there but the look was right for entry. I picked target one by plotting a profile of last swing and using a high volume node.

  6. A trade I was tracking today. Entry: Classic inside out, delta shifted, cd was climbing thru the consolidation toward the MA, cci was heading up. Order flow alone would have kept part of position on for quite some time. I would find it helpful if time zones could be clarified. this is PST(est-3). Images | ChartHub.com
  7. Do you really expect EL to provide any clarity with that attitude. Be real. Sounds to me like you have a fair idea how you enter. Have you used similar ideas for exit? El speaks a lot about order flow. While learning the way, one could always exit at first sign of order flow going against their position.
  8. Thanks, I have imported the chart definitions. Maybe I wasn't very clear. The settings in the signal markers didn't find the entries I was looking for on the 5 range chart. However they do show some promise on the 2 tick range chart. I was wondering if anyone has experimented with the signal markers and various ways of filtering out signals during choppy periods. I do not have the version at this time which allows back testing but am trying to plot markers which represent common characteristics of some of your trades and other repeating characteristics noticed in favorable situations.
  9. I coded up some signal markers in Investor RT. They are a slight modification of an entry suggestion by someone in a comment section in EL's blog. They need a filter to avoid chop but I'm not sure how to go about this. Any others here in TL land mess around with these? These are 2 tick range charts, the settings did not work on the 5 tick range charts, too much lag. a few examples from last week. . 10. looking for some help here. I'm doing a trial with fxcm, took the long trade on eur/usd. I'm also tracking the 6Ewith ninjatrader. Can someone explain why ninja's doesnt have the same data at this sessions open. Is it because it's a different contract? I checked ninja settings and it is set for 24hours.
  11. I'm trying to learn about forex/currencies. Where can one find information? A few of the questions are what is 6E? What is a micro account and how does one go about setting them up? never mind, googled it TIA
  12. fair enough. other ideas= volume at price/market profile for support resistance levels. applying current understanding of the price volume relationship on the 5 min es traverses as discussed in other threads. When I first saw your methods I thought it might be a way to add confirmation to the areas of uncertainty which cause an inability to take live trades. My plan is to use what I know about the 5min es traverses and when appropriate use a 500 tick chart for entries. This morning I was unsure of the dominant side of the market so was using strength of delta(buy-sell volume) to enter on pullbacks or breakouts of your patterns on the 500 tick chart. Original thoughts on profit taking will be based on volume/pace levels. If low, scalping a point or 2 would be in order. If strong pace, holding until PV tells me it's time to exit.
  13. es experiment, attempt to use this method to aid in other ideas. if these are off topic let me know.
  14. new to this thread. a friend shared it with me a couple days ago. I've skipped around reading, spent hours so far but have only scratched the surface. First time I've even charted currencies so I have no idea what I'm doing. I was attempting to draw trades on this chart, I found the indicator for tick volume. I have no idea how accurate this is, comments on the use of any form of volume indication on currencies would be appreciated. I assumed basic price volume relationships(Onielism) are intact. first trade long on pullback, the increase in pace on breakout made me feel it would hold. 2nd trade short after LH was made on big decrease in pace, Due to that I moved first entry up to the faster 1,2,3. , added at slower level. the increase of pace as price started down confirms the move? If it follows price volume relationships it should have another wave down.
  15. I was not asking questions seeking an answer, I know better than that. In realtime when WMCN (in my mind) did not I found the answers. Just thought maybe others may have had similar expectations. The chart came off a pc other than my trading pc that is why they are not annotated properly and if annotated properly the answer would appear. I do appreciate you taking the time to respond even if only to point out the obvious I was really hoping it might provoke some discussion.
  16. anyone care to answer why in these specific examples we did not get change?
  17. I have no idea that the traverse level is correct, rather doubt it is. When I do have clarity it is at the tape level. One would think they could build the traverses from that. (wishful thinking). I imagine they will fall into place much like the subfractal and tapes are.
  18. clarity ended and uncertainty appeared with pace drop after 1235.
  19. saw that too and change on the ym after it had a complete cycle. It all depends on which fractal one chooses. Either the tape or traverse level I did not think we were done.
  20. sorry for the off topic post: After several emails with TN support, attempting to make it clear what a gap removal tool would do. This is the last couple emails. To: support Subject: Re: gap removal tool request There are many people following the methods presented by spydertrader using this software that would like to see past data(yesterday) shifted if there is a gap, so the close of the last bar(yesterday) is equal to the open of the first bar of today. so the chart would appear as if there is no gap. hope that helps. I'm under the impression there are several requests for this same feature. Don That would be something that can be discussed at the coming Seminar in Vegas as our Owner and Head of Operations will be there to speak with the SpyderTrader group and others. Our support team as of yet has only seen this request come in from yourself. If you know of others, we’d love to get emails from them for the same request which will help us to provide the necessary numbers required to get Development working on something like this for you. As you know, our Development Team is only assigned to work on the most requested items first. I will pass along your request to our Head of Operations in preparations for the Seminar. 21. Thanks ehorn, careful in the vegas cabs dude. couple questions: 1. the down tape at 1115 you started a dn traverse, my view was a lower fractal sequence as I thought up needed more to complete. 1240 was my completion. care to explain your thoughts in that area? plz 2. if the 1605 bar was increasing volume would that change anything for you?
