  1. Do you mean Keltners ATR settings on an intraday chart ?
  2. Yes, in terms of forex I am having a good deal of succes at this point... now I am not using metatrader charts, I am using Ninjatrader charts with Tick charts wich are very good... this method I am using has a very nice RRR embeded to it... unfortunately I can not talk to much about it here, as it forms part of a paid material... cheers Walter.
  3. Sweet sweet M`s... cheers Walter.
  4. Excellent Patrycja ¡¡ yes thats the way it goes ¡¡ the other alternative that is very common, is the equal M... wich exactly tests the same level and comes back to the refresh action... good job... I imagine you are already making your sweet 10 ticks per day... keep up that great job Pat, trading can be such a great fun and profitable bussiness, it all depends on our mindset and our actitude towards life ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  5. Nice post Pat... probably that trade up there was a little premature its exit... the ideal setup is the one that re-tests the level and then starts to continue on the original direction... keep posting, and lets keep getting better into this setup... thanks Walter.
  6. Nice job Mike, hope you are doing better... certainly this charts are interesting to see, when you feel better, keep us updated... cheers Walter.
  7. Certainly there are a good bunch of setups that you can trade and make your daily target without any problem... still with just ONE setup, if you get to the point of mastering it, its good enough to make a profitable career... I will be posting some flip trades and abc trades, so we can enjoy a little bit how this wonderfull setups where able to make us some consistent profits... consistency is key on any traders career... and its posible... cheers Walter.
  8. The timeframe I use is 22T chart on YM, now the concept can be also used on higher timeframes as well like 55T or 110T... about the trend, the keltner actually is used for trend definition, wich its setting is high enough to represent the trend of a x5 universe... for example on the 22T chart the keltner may represent the trend of a 110T chart... so there is no need to look at two diferent charts at the same time, as this larger indicators discount larger timeframes trends... cheers Walter.
  9. They should NOT be closed as the system is so fresh in its use as when it was posted long time ago, and new people come in and may have questions regarding to the system... trading is a simple endeavor and old good methods as the one presented here can help a lot to new and even old seasoned traders... cheers Walter.
  10. Hi Patrycja, I use market orders all in, all out... and yes this method can make posible a living for any trader, just do 10 ticks per day on 50 mini contracts and you should be making $2500 daily lol... cheers Walter.
  11. The cci there can be perfectly used for timing purposes... when the vwap rejection is present, maybe a 100 level or 0 level crossover on the cci can give an entry signal... nice work Yusuf... keep us updated... cheers Walter.
  12. HI Yusuf... the adxvma indi actually has 2 inputs only, the period of the adxvma and the period of its signal line wich set to 1 there no signal line... the other components do not have the ability to change inputs separately, we founded when working with Pyener ( the vma master programmer ) that doing so would open to an excesive amount of combinations and start a true headache on choosing inputs into this indicators... So far yusuf, what you are researching on vwaps rejections on the S&P futures looks promising... I think you got good enough indicators to work out a decent strategy arround that... no need to do further programing, better use research time into clear and straight forward trading rules... My first piece of advice would be establishing a daily target on the S&P trading aproach, so you can measure your greed and get into clear objectives about your trading... if I had to choosea target on S&P, I would choose 1 point net (after comisions) per day... cheers Walter.
  13. Yusuf, right click on you chart and save template as... put a name to it, then on the folder ninja/templates/charts you will find this template you saved, you can zip it and upload here, so I can have the same chart as yours on my NT... yes also your indis on zip format... cheers Walter.
  14. Yusuf, can you post your NT template, thanks Walter.
  15. Very nice chart Yusuf... would be nice to start a new thread on what you are doing and we can collaborate into some ideas as well... the rejection of vwaps its an excellent concept and can be very well used to scalp the futures markets... how about calling it "Yusuf vwap`s rejections" on the futures laboratory... you tell me, I will be ready to interact a lot on this aproach as I am interested to create a strategy arround this concepts... cheers Walter.
  16. Yusuf, feel free to post charts of what you are doing... cheers Walter.
  17. No problem Sr. ENJOY, cheers Walter.
  18. Hi GJ, I understand your point on real market volume vs tick volume, certainly your opinion is correct, tick volume is diferent to real volume on forex... now let me add this : tick volume is a measurement of market activity and should be considered as an indicator itself, maybe we should not call it volume, but market activity, so far I had been 12 years in the markets and I can tell you on my experience that this proxy volume data does work... if you go thru the vsa thread there where lots of analisis with proxy volume data that where very nice and had excellent performance... some things on markets dont have very logical explanations, but work, by the way do you have some particular setup, please I would like a link to your thread... thanks a lot Walter.
  19. So far tick data can be perfectly used as proxy volume data for forex, dont forget that activity is volume... and the performance so far for me has prooved to be good... cheers Walter.
  20. In my personal experience so far, proxy forex volume data works ok... cheers Walter.
  21. I think this is the area where the chimp conquered his excellence in trading, basicly having a good average entry criteria PLUS an excellent exit strategy, where you have an excellent RRR on your favor and at the same time you are profiting from a statistical daily range vs small fixed daily targets, simply the system rocks... unfortunately I am not giving the rules here on the forum... Having good exits its for sure more important than your entries, obviously you want to enter on good competitive areas as well... but it will be a 50/50 game if you dont conquer properly your exits... my 2 cents, cheers Walter.
  22. This "key" levels as I call them actually talk to you telling you where the participants created positions, from there on you will experience the beauty of the "flow" of tolerance in stops and targets as the market may push or refresh from/to a gravitational "main positions" area... thats where vwap based analisis also do outperform many othe fixed S&R analisis... now we who use vma`s have the advantage of reading price action and be able to see a clean performance of a powerfull adaptive indicator who has the ability to follow the flow with the least noise posible... This type of analisis gets empowered when you have an extraordinary RRR embeded to your strategy, and that comes in the realationship of your targets vs stops... So S&R is actually one of the pivotal studies of TA... you can complicated or simplify it, depending on what life style you prefer... the chimp has decided to keep things simple... my 2 cents, cheers Walter.
  23. Hi Rocky, fixed targets its a way of taking sure profits from a much smaller range than the statistical range average moves have... still you may have a good "potencial" RRR on your favor... also you can control your greed wich some times it may be lethal for many traders... Oportunities may vary depending on the day, but as I am actually doing on forex, coming out with a fixed target works very well... yes my broker is happy, my acct as well... glad you enjoyed my thread, you can also visit my site. cheers Walter.
  24. If a level was validated several times, the flip will be more reliable afterwards... my 2 cents, cheers Walter.
