  1. UB, I thought my post was neutral to you... as to the question - I'll find answers sooner or later. I always do. I was trying to engage you in positive conversation away from the ET-like useless banter.. Guess who lost more.
  2. . . . . . . . . . .
  3. I still have a hope that he is what he says. Looking for loose talents who hasnt realised their talents yet... Like a sport team coach would watch a competition in some small remote Scottish village to find a gem. Polish and sell it x20 Seriously UB.. You talk too much. If you want to find someone you should probably provoke intelligent talks. And not to pour your contempt and despair onto the heads of other people. I am not with you neither I am with them so I dont care either way.... But look from the practical side on the problem... Imagine Hitler or someone with similar attitude to worthless bio-masses succeeded. And all those stupid retards were burned in furnace to produce fertilizers.... Now you are all circled with tall blond guys with nice muscles and all that clear thinking. Now imagine they all are know something about mean reversal, cointegration and all that sh*t... So where would be you then ? Somewhere in the middle .. Would you like so? Stay in a queue for a bowl of soup thinking of Wyckoff? Do you really want to? Who would your brilliant quant strategies rob in that case? You will not be able buy even a Tissot for your 60th birthday..Cmon take it easy -------------------------- Anyway.. I wanted to ask you a question. You mentioned couple of times something what you generaically called more expensive datafeeds. Would you tell - have you tested feeds like CQG and NxCore and what are they like to each other? I thought NxCore is kinda higher quality data feed but it looks like DTN but with better timesptamps... I know that CQG has better data feed than DTN IQ Feed... What about NxCore? Is it just a nice wrapper to IQ Feed with better productivity and more granular timestamps? The other question - does CME provide same quality/quantity of real-time trades / quotes to all connected users or there are different tiers of data quality? I mean - do DTN CQG and TT for instance have same input data on their servers as say Lehman or Merrill? P.S. If you dont / cant share the information please ignore this message.
  4. Bravo. Thats exactly what I found myself.
  5. So Andy tell us.. You wrote the whole backtesting system from the scratch in just two years? Is that right? You must be talented young fella.. What programming language do you use?
  6. every person in the world tried MA crossover system when 5 yo.... Why do you think not all of them are rich? What a joke. Try horses betting.
  7. I think you reffer to: "TRANSACT, its managing directors, officers, employees and/or any affiliate or parent company of TRANSACT or any floor broker utilized by TRANSACT may be on the opposite side of orders in Commodity Interests placed for such Customer’s Account provided that such transactions are in conformity with regulations of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the by-laws, rules and regulations of the Exchange on which such orders are executed." It doesnt say that orders are going to a bucket shop doest it? And this is not a fine print. It is one of the documents with normal size print you sign during the opening of the account. Now if you cant read thats not anybody's problem
  8. price alone can go 10 tick on NQ in 1 sec several times a day.... so I think the question is valid. If not everyone see the value it doesnt mean there is none.
  9. Is it possible to get data for CME exchange-tradable spread from Zen-fire ?
  10. Thank you Head.. That what I was looking for.... It seems Barchart TICK is simply random.
  11. this is NYSE TICK. Is not tick data but TICK symbol
  12. Cool looking forward to the illustrations
  13. Thank you. If you are curious yourself, could you please compare to what you see. I attached pic with 2 TICKs. One is Barchart and another one is CQG. The chart is for Friday 8th 16:00 - 16:25 GMT (Chicago Time + 6h)
  14. itrade, are you saying that your favourite strategy is shorting bounce off major resistance areas?
  15. I need to check my charts against "official" TICK daily bar chart. Is there free charts available (with delay of course) from NYSE ? Or is there a well known provider of TICK whose charts are impecable? I have 2 different charts from different data providers. One has upward and the other downward trend at the same time of day. I want to find out who is lying
  16. btw tams, i know you are fan of MC. I cant find how MC connects to TT... is it by xtrader API or is it by TT FIX thank you
  17. no that was the exact point - CPU heavy computations like jurik or some signal processing filters will influent time of the system reaction even on high-end servers, MACD will not even on low-end desktop... and the subsecond delays arent that difficult to measure. if you show me two feeds side-by-side i can tell the difference with 50 ms accuracy. but i have found that multichart can be fed from rithmic, so i have no more questions about it... Would like to know how fast TS feed and execution though...
  18. Tams, do you know any of attempts to compare data feed lags say MultiCharts vs TS vs Zen? Regarding CPU I disagree. 1000 MACDs is nothing in computing time iteslf. Tell the guy to compare 10 Jurik MAs.. He'd see the difference
  19. There were many comments on "best" software and also on the best for backtesting. What would be the fastest (data feed, calculations and execution altogether) software that is available for the retail traders? Lets exclude latency between execution server and the user computer. Lets just take on account the natural data feed delays, speed of execution and the (least important I think) the speed of the platform itself to calculate the automated logic (mostly it is about the software being able to use compiled code or interpreted code). For instance - Sierra and Ninja use compiled code. What about TS and MultiCharts? Are their languages being precompiled before use and run as a native computer code or they are being interpreted at the time of the execution? What about data speed and execution speed of TS and Multicharts ? What about OEC and NeoTicker? How is Zen-Fire data and execution speeds together? Which combination of data/software/execution broker can be trusted for a system which sends trades every 3 seconds (for example)? I think less than 3s will require a colocation near exchange and the whole lot of other organisation and monetary efforts which I believe will make the project outside the scope of this discussion - DIY automated system?
  20. urma, how TS is in terms of speed and ticks throttling? How would you compare to systems like XTrader and CQG ? would trust TS a system which generates 5k signals a day and the average trade life span is 10s ?
  21. I tried to look into it again but is still in beta... Do you know when are they going to release the product?
  22. Bullshit. I had an account with them for a year and I asked specifically if there is any posibility is my orders will be routing not to an exchange and I had firm answer No. So if you have an evidence they execute orders against their own position on the market (bucket shop) then please go to the court. If not then shut the **** up. Loser P.S. customer service I had from Patrick was the frendliest I ever had. Try IB for a change
  23. I need money. please send me £1000. every one of you. NOW! I said NOW!
