Recommended Posts

hi,

I see there are alot of YM pro's over here...

I've been studying this instrument lately and wonder is it only the US economy data release affects the the YM?

what about other countries data? does it affect YM?

I know I need more screen time on this instrument...

from my observation liquidity usually starts around 9am EST that is the bid/ask difference is 1 tick

can someone share with me any resources to learn more about YM,it's characteristics/personality etc...

yep,I'm a noob :crap: :o

many thanks!

Although there are some effects. But you need not worry about it since vast majority of them don't overlap the US regular trading hours. Since Ym represents only 30 Dow stocks, you have be aware of any potential news that may have a serious impact on any of the more heavily-weighted component companies.

You might find these links useful as well:

1. http://biz.yahoo.com/c/e.html Yahoo economic calendar, gives a description and grade on the importance of the economic release, A being the highest grade.

2. http://www.forexfactory.com/ Forex Factory economic calendar. If you click on the folder for each economic release it will give a description of it, and sometimes it will say how important it is.
