  1. Walter, great video! Its becoming clearer and clearer. Please keep these videos coming. The oscillator is still a little fuzzy for me too. Any additional comments you can make about the oscillator in the videos will be helpful. Many thanks to you and PYenner for all your hard work and willingness to share...Armand
  2. Thanks Walter. Once again the videos are so helpful. I am not used to working with the CCI...so the explainations are a big help. Armand
  3. Yes, this answers my question. Thanks...Armand
  4. Walter...thanks once again for the videos, they clear up many things. I appreciate you showing an example of a trade that didn't work out. However, after watching the video I had a question. Should we also be looking for "positive laddering to the downside?" If this was also part of the vmar icon definition then we would not have taken this trade to begin with. I have included a screenshot of the chart in your video. I may have it wrong...I am just trying to learn...I welcome your comments. Thanks again...Armand http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=3130&stc=1&d=1190855975
  5. I'm wondering about the possibility of programming alerts in MT4. It seems like it would come in handy whenever the black line (5 min) or the yellow line (1 min) pops up out of the rainbow. Does this seem possible? Armand
  6. Negative laddering...I like it. This should double the number of opportunities for entry Now I'm still not sure I understand the "20 bucks per week/contract" What are your thoughts on that...? Thanks...Armand
  7. Here is the image...thanks for the instructions
  8. Hi Walter...Just checking to see if I understand. Here is a setup from today. Armand
  9. Yes...I like it too and look forward to your posts. I can go back after the day is over and easily see the VMAR Icons but the challenge for me is seeing them happen in real time. However, seeing the "settingup" on the 5 min. and then waiting for the fantailvma3 to pop out of the rainbow on the 1 min. seems to be the key...I think I just need more more screen time...thanks Armand
  10. Thank you for the videos Walter...please keep them up. They are very helpful and make things very clear. Thanks...Armand
  11. Thanks Walter. I like this 5 min laddering method. Just to clarify...you are using the fantailvma1 on the 5 min and the fantailvma3 on the 1 min? I am still trying to determine the best times to watch the AUDUSD market. I know the US market time is good 9:30am EST - 4:30pm...Are there other good times for this? Thanks...Armand
  12. Walter...the laddering video is awesome. Looks like great potential there. Thanks for including the settings...I look forward to testing it out. I appreciate all your hard work and your willingness to share it...Armand
  13. PYenner...Pound/Yen - "er" - "pee-yen-er" makes perfect sense...thanks for the explaination. I look forward to a video. I think your focus is in great shape. So far, it has really propelled things forward. Thanks for all your hard work...Armand
  14. Walter and PYenner...Great posts...very interesting and helpful information. Thanks for sharing this. Walter please keep the videos coming, your explainations help clear up many things. Somehow hearing it makes it much clearer for me than reading it (at least for me!). I wonder if there is a way to post the latest revisions of the fantail_vma for mt4 with a rev. number and some sort of description. I would like to begin testing with a demo account but am a little confused as to which version to try. ...one last thing...PYenner...would you mind giving us a phonetical pronunciation of your screen name. Is it "pie"-ner or "P" - Yenner...:\ no biggie...just curious. Thanks to both of you for all your hard work on this project...Armand
  15. From: igorad Just an FYI...igorad reposted his mt4 version. You may want to download it again...Armand
  16. Very nice Walter...clean, simple and more than 5 pips! Thanks for sharing this...Armand
  17. Walter...I have been carefully reading the VMA rainbow indicator thread. When it mentioned the "icon" I went back to read up on what that was. I really liked the "mini icon" setup you described and would like to work with that for a while. Is the regression curve critical to the setup or can you just watch the price bars. I am using Quotetracker as a charting program and they have regression channels which only draw a straight line not a curve. Is there another indicator that would be similar to the regression curve you use? Here is a list of all the Quotetracker indicators: http://www.medved.net/quotetracker/help/techind.shtml Also I am a little confused about the cci setup. I have included an image that shows what the QT indicator is looking for. Sorry, setting up these indicators is still new to me :\ ...any help is appreciated. Thanks for all your sharing...it is very helpful. Thank you...Armand
  18. Thank you Walter...this thread is very interesting. Are your screenshots from VTsystems? And are you using the default settings for this indicator? Thanks again for sharing this information! ...Armand
  19. Walter great thread (and videos) very helpful. Thanks for sharing. Is this indicator common or is it unique to the vtsystems site? Thanks, Armand
  20. Thanks Soultrader. Not sure if I should start a new thread, but would it be possible for someone to post the .ELD code of a simple moving average (30). Sierra charts has a C++ example of a simple moving average and I would like to compare the two. By doing so, I'm hoping to figure out how the code from and .ELD file can be ported to Sierra charts. I'm certainly willing to post any results. I'm sure there are programmers here with much more skill than I have that also might be able to contribute. I've searched online and have not been able to find any information on porting code from an .ELD file to Sierra, so this discussion may be valuable to some.
  21. Is there a way to export this so that it can be used by Sierra Charts...or does it need to be completely recoded? Thanks.
  22. Hope I'm not out of line here...but I use Sierra charts and the code that they use is C++. Does anyone know how difficult is it to convert code like Traderlu posted to C++. Does anyone have experience doing this or are there any examples of how to convert TS code to C++? Thx
