  1. >>concept is rejection and refreshing from a central axis line I was hoping for this, sounds exciting. I couldn't send you the template when you asked because I was using a version that has not been distributed. It has an option for VI squared plus VI sq root and its getting complicated to describe how this fancy stuff might be used. All this stuff with VI is likely to be useful (maybe) only with the faster lines, 2bar maybe up to 4 or 5 bar. It is experimenting with ways of fine tuning HE strength versus closeness. So if you have one indicator running with 3bars and no fancy stuff then add this new one with VI squared plus VI sq root thing turned on, you will get slightly different HE and closeness. But the intention was next to reduce ChandeEMA by 0.5 or maybe just 0.2 to try to find a better trade off between HE strength and closeness. ChandeEMA number seems to cause most lag so I am experimenting with ways to reduce this number but without losing HE strength. So I will post the indicator, but maybe ignore it unless you want to try fine tuning the faster lines. Experimental. ADXVMA6Test3.mq4
  2. The lines are simple, the concept underneath it is not simple..sheesh. >>maybe scalp your way to 8 bucks daily When the market is friendly it can be more like 300/day from just 1/2 lot trades...
  3. That orange ema idea could also be done with the 5min line, or with the 20bar imitation of the 5min line in 1min charts. >>it takes a great keen discernment yes will take time and experience...
  4. Orange ema looks good for scalper in/out and for short term trend following. So far the fancy stuff in vma6 doesn't seem to do much good. Want to try out those new lines live, see what they are like.
  5. Tried those lines on a 5min chart. Needs more lines and more spacing between lines but it looks like it is telling us something...
  6. Wizard Walter Congratulations on your promotion to "Market Wizard". Does this mean you will start wearing a robe and a funny pointed hat?
  7. Wouldn't have happened without you. Constructive communication with a common purpose. It can change your life. Amazing when it happens. Its what a forum can be good for... Wonder what cci will bring?
  8. You bad, crack me up... This fur suit thing really works on the ladies huh?
  9. 20bar slowest one. Attach them all and its a quick sort of vma rainbow. Any of them can be set to any number and color. Go mad, plenty of company that way hehe For some really slow lines on 5min chart try 20, 50, 100, 200, 300 go nuts, sorry, bananas. ADXVMA6_20bar.mq4
  10. 6, 12, 16 bit out of order, never mind.. ADXVMA6_6bar.mq4 ADXVMA6_12bar.mq4 ADXVMA6_16bar.mq4
  11. Ok this version is basic, just has ADX_Bars and color to set. First 3 have been preset for faster lines.. ADXVMA6_2bar.mq4... 4bar...8bar. ADXVMA6_2bar.mq4 ADXVMA6_4bar.mq4 ADXVMA6_8bar.mq4
  12. >>My mouth is wet Bruce... Wot, run outa beers and nanas???? Next time remember to do the shopping... >>One of the hard things traders suffer is at the point of making timing entries for their trades...normally here they get whipsawed and they get very frustrated to have a nice setup argument but not good timing... Yeah, tell me bout it, timing is what kills me. I'm forever one step ahead of reality or one step behind... >>or the chimp will go mad... Welcome to my world, won't you come on in... Miracles I've found, happen now and then... Walter I'm using the primative approach, no template yet, just multiple copies of 6Test2, no complications. So on all of them the fancy stuff is turned off.... VI_0.VIsq_1.VIsqroot_2=0 VImax=1 zeroVIbelow=0 EMA100=1 turns off ema lines. Then for each line use the same number for all the following.. ADX_Bars WeightDM WeightDI WeightDX ChandeEMA Fastest line use 2 5min slowest line use 20 Space out the other lines with numbers between 2 and 20. Change both line colours to something that suits... Maybe I should do another version so all you have to put in is the one number??
  13. Two 1min charts here with the "rainbow" in the zoomed in chart.
  14. There is a compression thing going on, mainly against the 5min 20 bar line (White here). But it is not as tidy as using smooth ema lines, the vma HEs are not so tidy about where and when they have their HEs.
  15. This might be more constructive. In 1min the red line is 2 bars and at the other extreme the white line is 20 Bars "5min". See how the faster lines pullback but magenta usually doesn't. So the number of lines that pullback may be a guide to trade size lol.
  16. Slow lines on 5min chart, insane that white line is 320 bars and the "fast" red one is the original vma1... This thing has me feeling stupid, like looking right at something but still not seeing it.
  17. Maybe more pretty than useful. Playing with slow lines here, up to 200 bars hehe
  18. Can you believe Halo2 and Bioshock have only recently come out on PC... Got some catching up to do.
  19. Hi Georgetui Yes some very experienced traders have put years of good information into this forum, there is a lot that can be learned from them. It helps me a lot but it still takes time to learn.
  20. Walter Should have told you that the Chande setting seems to produce more lag than the other ema weight settings. When trying to get a good close line I often end up with the Chande setting being a bit smaller than the other weights, often seems to give least lag that way.
  21. >>so far testing previous versions on real time there has not been any ploting problems(diferent plotting from history).... Igorad used a fix for this in vma1. I try to avoid using it but maybe I understand it enough now to use it if we have to. That fix is a bit like driving at full throttle because the handbrake is on, using the fix slows things down even more and uses more arrays, so its not exactly a desirable fix you know. Its more like papering over a crack instead of fixing the crack.
  22. Thank you for your kind words sundowner. Mostly it seems like chaos and confusion that I see but with patience persistence and luck, the sunshine sometimes shines through and shows a way ahead. Regards (and happy banana day) to you.
  23. ADXVMA_Bemac1Test2.mq4 ADXVMA1Test2.mq4 Fresh bananas here. Just added the new vma6 options into the other versions. Now I have to waste the day working, oh well, happy inputs. ADXVMA_Bemac1Test2.mq4 ADXVMA1Test2.mq4
  24. >I nearly choked on my beer.... You do have a nice life Walter... Comparison of different methods with settings a bit faster than vma5Line3 (not smooth). Looks like Test2 might be improvement on vma5. (VImax=3 in the picture, should have been 1, makes not difference, just confusing, need a beer.) Whats next, chimp in the tub with candles and champagne?
