  1. tradingwizzard, Thank you. I was looking for an environment that people don't insult one another, make wise remarks, and otherwise act as idiots. Trading is a tough business. A trading forum shouldn't make it tougher. IMHO Thank you. Tony
  2. Patuca, It is not my method to donate. It is Joe Ross's. Also, I am not in the teaching business. I will leave that to gurus such as yourself. Thank you. Tony
  3. Patuca, The heat in this kitchen is not hot. However, the purpose of this thread was to keep myself disciplined and focused as well as invite constructive discussion and comments. I have found another forum that suits my goals as this forum has not. I thought that Trader's Laboratory was a good place for traders to complement each other, not ridicule each other. The market is hard enough on us traders, we don't need more negativity from each other. Tony
  4. MidKnight, Thank you for your posts. I am not sure what bobc was looking at. But a 4 min trade is not an overnight trade. Hopefully, he doesn't trade with real money... Or better yet, bobc can be on the opposite side of my trades anytime. :haha: Thank you. Tony
  5. bobc, I am using the methods taught to me by Joe Ross. I am not making anything up. You are mistaken. The first post was a sell on a 5 min chart but it was not held overnight. In fact, the exit was less than 5 minutes. Please double check the chart, I was in at 9:16 AM (PST) and out at 9:20 AM (PST) the same day. This is not a daily chart. It is a 5 min chart. Therefore, each bar is 5 minutes; not one day. Also, I do not enter at the open of the bar, I place my resting order at the open of the new bar. The market then comes to me and either fills me or doesn't. I am not buying or selling the open price. In fact, to get filled at 9:16 AM (PST) on a 5 min chart would, by definition, mean I did not trade the open price. With regard to Mr. Horseshoes, I will post the tick chart with my fill in another post. Nobody is dead in the water, bob. Maybe if you spent more of your time being constructive, you would be a better trader. Take care... Tony
  6. Is this book still applicable to today's markets?
  7. tradingwizzard, No I am not. I am a student of Joe Ross and apply his methods to my trading. I started this thread to show the trades I take using these methods. Thank you. Tony
  8. Thank you all for your comments. I am moving this Trader Log to another forum. Those of you truly interested in following my log, please send me a message. Thank you again. Tony
  9. BlueHorseshoe, I am sure if you are interested in a tick chart, you are welcome to post one here if you like. I use a bar chart so that is what I post. Keeping it simple... Thank you. Tony
  10. johnw, One of the main tenants of Joe Ross is that markets are manipulated. Looking at the formation of the bars gives clues as to where the market makers want to take the market. The key is getting on board behind them when they do. Like remoras do with sharks. Thank you. Tony
  11. Steve, Thank you for your comments. My goal with this post is to keep me disciplined. I was hoping that students of Joe Ross would comment on any setups I may have missed or trades I executed incorrectly. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. Tony
  12. Patuca, I use limit orders. There is no slippage with limit orders. However, there is the risk that the market will fly right past you without filling your order; but there is no slippage. I only post the trades I am filled on. You are welcome to take the course through Joe Ross or try and get some perspective by reading his books. I needed the private sessions since I had no background in trading. But an expert such as yourself might be able to just read the books. Thank you. Tony
  13. Thank you zdo!! Just trying to keep it real.
  14. bobc, I am not experiencing slippage on my entries. I am not sure why in one post you want me to share Joe Ross's methods and in another you claim the posts are morally wrong. Joe Ross has been adopting these strategies for over 50 years. He taught them to me and others and they work. Thank you. Tony
  15. tradingwizzard, I place the order at the start of the new candle / bar. Thank you. Tony

  17. Thank you for being considerate. Tony
  18. tradingwizzard, I would like to make more trades but this approach is slow and steady. I am able to feed my family on it. But if you see setups that I am missing, please share. Thank you. Tony
  19. Patuca, Wake up. There was another! mr handle
  20. bobc, I'm sorry bobc but the purpose of this thread is to help me stay disciplined and not to teach or share the setups. You are welcome to contact Joe Ross yourself but I have no permission to share his methods publicly. Are you having success with the Ambush method? Do you post your trading log anywhere so we can see how you perform with it? Thank you, Tony
  21. Trade: Contract: GC Entry Signal: Short Entry Price: 1393.3 (red triangle) Exit Price: 1392.3 (green triangle) Target Entry Time: 6:22 PST Ticks: +10 Trade Results: 9 Trades. 8 Wins / 1 Loss. Ratio: 88.9%. Ticks: +66

  23. Starting on Tuesday, September 3, I will be including an additional method as I learned it from Joe Ross. If anyone has learned from Joe Ross, please provide feedback and input. Thank you. Tony
