  1. Try out Infinity AT V3, both live and sim. mode on the same platform, excellent fills, and service.
  2. Say how do you find liquidity in FTSE, do the orders get filled quickly, tried in many years back, found it too spikey, what timeframe do you prefer to trade from. Also do you use London brokers, understand futuresbetting Co. are back in business, provide direct access to the exchange via their trading platform , advantage, no CGT:)
  3. Db In your pdf file on support resistance and trend trading, the concept of failure to breach is explained. Also notice in many of your posts, you mention a number of times on the trader deciding in advance what he should look for and to know what he is looking at. Do you therefore study Daily charts to identify such locations (FTB) to trade for the next day. Then go down to 60min charts to identify similar locations and so on to smaller timeframes, 5min, 1min, 5sec.
  4. Have seen some charts by DB with Horizontal vol. bars on the left axis, guess he was showing ranges in which most trades occurred, however I have looked at bigchart website, can't seem to get that, can you bringup a chart say of ES or NQ to illustrate.
  5. Db, Have seen some of your charts from BIGCHARTS with CVB plot, how do you get that function to work, I can load a bar chart with volume histogram at the bottom.
  6. Yes Ftse has been pretty volatile lately, notice that your charts reflect activity upto 5p.m U.K time, however the market trades upto 9p.m, infact the price went down a few hundred points in the evening. Do you ignore this price action in determining the following day's support/resistance, pivots etc
  7. Trying to short at 10.30EST and finally shorted at 9.10EST You must have a magic system to go back in time:)

Check out Infinity Brokerage. Google it
  9. Could you take the trouble to put up a chart for your entries, you went short prior to lunch, but looking at NQ I was wondering why you did that, what was the setup, where was the stop loss. You are absolutely right about sticking to rules and plan, consistency is the key, this aspect is also highlighted by Mark Douglas.
  10. Recently the average range on 5min Dax bars have been over 20-25pts, 1 tick on stoxx , is that 10euros, doesn't sound much, the cost of commision would dig into that, won't it. What is the mechanical system based on? ie. price based indicators, vol, support/resistance levels etc.
  11. Say what made you choose, NQ as a trading instrument, over ES or YM or even ER. and what timeframe charts you use for trading NQ and do you take volume into account.
  12. Regarding Stoxx , presume this is the index for the 50 largest companies in Europe, 1. what timeframes to do you employ 2. Also what are your trading hours, as the markets I believe are open for 13hours. 3. Do you find liquidity adequate and if you use market orders, is there much slippage. 4. Are the price moves smooth or erratic and volatile ie. spikey
  13. Do you only trade currencies or other instruments as well, if so, perhaps you can illustrate with ESmini Hourly chart attached
  14. o.k if I am reading this right, your focus is more on zones of congestion and breadkouts thereof rather than worrying about accumulation/distribution. Please correct me if I am wrong. Secondly elsewhere, think it was in your blog which btw is very good info.wise, you talked about Minimizing risk by 1. focusing on liquid markets 2.monitoring the pushmepullyou of buying/selling pressure at relevant s/r levels 3. ENTERING ON SWINGS RATHER THAN BREAKOUTS 4. getting out when the market tells you to. These are great insights, however on the 3rd one, do you mean look for possible entries on a pullback after breakout. I interpret entering on swings to mean that, may be wrong, once again am open to correction. Elsewhere OTOH you favor taking the trade at optimum points such as support or resistance. A breakout would happen after price receives support and breaks out a previous resistance and vice versa, hence as per (3) the entry would be late.
  15. Get in touch with Gavin Holmes ASAP before they jack up the price at Tradeguider, explain the situation and I am sure some agreement can be reached to replace the old VSA5.
  16. And what if the next candle is going up and price hits 4850.
  17. Can we talk about accumulation and distribution in the futures market where there is no float? There is contraction(ranges) and expansion(trends) on all timeframes intraday ie. 1min, 3min, 5min, 15min, 30min, 60min, how do we assign or define accumulation/distribution terms in any particular timeframe chart.
  18. Does this mean the following: 1. Upthrust can reduce demand - then prices can fall on low vol. 2. Shakeout can reduce supply - prices can rise on low vol. ie. less effort.
  19. Appreciate your effort and the charts, I now have something visual to go bye, big thank you. Sorry for the trouble.
  20. Thank you for this explanation, find this confusing, Dbphoenix says to wait for confirmation then the trade is gone, but then from what you explain, that is what has to be done. Perhaps Dbphoenix or yourself would take trouble to show it up on charts, once again I apologise as am not advanced enough to see it in my mind. without looking at charts.
  21. 1. I am in the learning process so you will have to excuse me. You say that the climatic action has to be tested but I have seen a number of times price spike on high vol and then test that level on low vol, but the trend does not just reverse 2. would you care to expand on what is meant by developing a sensitivity for climatic action 3. lack of sellers and lack of buyers I thought were price moves to test selling climax and buying climax respectively, are you saying that a trader should enter immediately on this and not wait for any confirmation, afterall if it is a valid test, surely the ideal point of entry may have gone, but there should be enough momentum for further move, so how can the trade be over. please excuse if I show lack of knowledge on Wyckoff but what I have read is very logical and would like to learn more from experienced Wyckoff operators.
  22. What is FESX? Dax is pretty volatile, yesterday evening, 400pts up and down within hours and each pt worth 25Euros:(
  23. IMHO Both have something useful to offer to the trader, why not take best of both worlds and leave it at that. Infact the VSA /TG are holding a one day course at the Golden Gate University, SF, California, in Nov, "The Wyckoff Way", so really there is no fundamental clash. I have benefited from both, many thanks to the excellent posts in VSA thread and also on the Wyckoff Forum and Dbphoenix Blog. Would love to see the Wyckoff threads in action, will post some Nasdaq charts for comments, hope they will not be brushed aside with any cryptic remarks:) HAKUNA MATATA:)
