  1. I trade es futures mainly, I usually trade the first hour to 90 mins and then look at other markets and assess whether or not to continue with es.
  2. For my personal trading it has taught me to control my ego. When I look at Wall Street firms it has taught me that failure and incompetence is rewarded heavily. John Thain, Stan O'Neill, Vikram Pandit, Chuck Prince, Jimmy Cayne, Dick Fuld. These guys are all worth hundreds of millions, two brought down huge institutions.
  3. Income is earned from trading. That is how I would define it. Trading is my profession, my bills and lifestyle are paid for with profits.
  4. For futures I can recommend Mirus and Advantage, both are stellar and have not had any problems.
  5. are you using the pay or free version
  6. Thanks for posting that Thales, I love the original Market Wizards book and believe it has great advice in it like what you posted above. Last year I incorporated some of the advice given by Paul Tudor Jones into my trading by scaling up size when I was trading very well for a stretch, which led to my most profitable year (5x my next highest) I have not read the one with LBR in it but it is next on my list. Chris
  7. sorry for the late post yesterday I suffered the largest loss of my trading career in another account. The results here are no better. I am going to Europe through June 13 for a long 31st birthday celebration with friends so I will start up again when I get back.
  8. Today I was like a rollercoaster +18.72
  9. -269 I began day biased long and then missed a short later in the day due to distractions
  10. No trades for me in this account today A very strange (imo) sidenote to trading a small account is when I enter in this account and it moves against me I start to figit and quickly gain an attitude that I will take any gain no matter how small, where as in my other account I feel no nervousness and am confident that my overall plan will work out. What makes this so odd of course is the difference in size
  11. When I cut caffeine out of my diet my migraines let up some.....not all the way but it helped.
  12. So, obviously this week I was unable to trade for the most part. Today was like the other(s) I do not remember right now how many days. Only 2 ticks on euro on 1 contract. I am going to rest up and hydrate this weekend so I can get at it on Monday. Chris
  13. well stated, correct, and understood
  14. Well, he is graduating on 5/16 and moving out so who knows maybe I will end up missing it? After all, what 30 year old girl does not want to be the next Betty White? She plays football now. She's pretty tough.
  15. You sound like my brother, oddly he is 25 years old. He also has a signed script from an episode, not NOT joking Sadly I wasn't He is also brilliant, near perfect SAT, I felt it was necessary to say this also because otherwise.........
  16. I can not speak for anyone else but I am far from what one would refer to as a piker. The rules of the contest make only small accounts eligible along with large commissions unless you are a seat holder with a 3k acct. or you also have a membership and trade several accounts, one of them being a 3k acct. but that would be just strange This is my brothers account which I am trading for him. I said this in the 2010 P/L thread long before the race ever started. I will assume you did not mean anything by it but I do take some offense. Perhaps you should enter
  17. Well done, those are good entries Kuro My personal account is propaply larger than most traders so I am able to manage it in a way where I find it to be not as stressful. Yet, about a year ago I made a personal loan and traded a smaller acct. for a while and went back to taking a tick to a point and when I was re-paid my trading went back to my style rather quickly. That is why I feel the Race is a good idea; for me it forces me to make correct decisions when it comes to R/R. Christopher
  18. Well I look forward to next week. as things seem to go sometimes now that I have recovered I have other things I must do. I mustered a very small euro trade however. Have a good weekend
  19. It is positive which is always good but I am not pleased.
  20. I was feeling somewhat better near the end of the day so again scalped near the close. I did not want a loss so I was easily shaken out of trades. I look forward to tomorrow:) Sicktrader, although we suffer from different ailments I have heard much about TMJ and if Advil works for you that is great. Best of luck to you
  21. Migraine still with me no trades today but here is from yesterday. Sorry for the late post, but I have really been sick. Yesterday all I could muster were some very quick scalps after the FOMC.
  22. how late is the latest possible time to post a statement from the 28th?
  23. I have been having them since I was about 16-17 but they have been getting worse over the years my neurologist is pretty certain staring at monitors all day make them worse. But what are we going to do. Sorry for the off-subject post.
  24. I ended up doing my least favorite thing scalping the fed announcement because I had genuine excitement about the Race, great idea guys. Back to bed for me, I will post my statement later.
  25. A note on my participation, I suffer from migraine headaches and am unable to trade when I have one as I do today 4/28. So I will not be trading unless I feel better.
