  1. For whatever reason Ninja Trader combines trades, I do not understand why but I placed 1 trade today. That is 300 posts
  2. Today was the first day I only watched Crude and the Ten Year, I took one trade a short in CL, and I am happy with my analysis and execution. I was also finished very early which is always nice. My short took off to the down side and gave me a picture perfect exit at the price I wanted when I entered the short. I would like to watch the S&P, Crude Oil, 10 Year Note and possibly the Euro, 30 Year, FDAX, FESX, BUND, BOBL, SCHATZ and Nikkei. We will see if I can handle it, my main priority is the ES. The results here are only Crude Oil. I got out part of my position with a very small gain and partial loss, which let the rest run, after this I managed my position very aggressively. Results for December 15, 2009
  3. larger lots for what the market gives me, but I do not hold on for a very long time and a great deal of points. I should see what my average target is, I would guess around 6-8 ticks, I have been improving on this since mid-summer though. I have been able to have the discipline to hold on longer. I do not have a target going into a trade that is not based on anything but a number I made up, I wait until the trade looks like it is no longer moving in my direction or something else.
  4. Thanks so much for the kind words, I should add to what I said that it is a very real possibility to be a pro trader if you put in the time and research all info for your style. From my stand point it is all available on the internet. I have no special skills to put me where I am now; only obsession and desire to be a trader in the early days (roughly 5 years back). So again, Thanks Chris
  5. Today was my last day trading the es this year.....or at least that is my plan. I am very pleased with my performance overall, this was my best year trading so far. I will be watching the 10 year and Crude Oil the rest of the year but I am only going to trade on small size. For 2010 I will be trading somewhat smaller size for several reasons; I want to put a large amount of my capital in a safe place-I am 30 and want it to grow at a steady rate, and possibly buy a home. So S&P see you in 2010
  6. BF, Those are quite impressive results, whether or not you hit your goal
  7. Nice, I have stuck to the bland My Workspace and ES trading, blah
  8. In case you wondered what 10 trillion looked like.
  9. Mentoring will teach you to trade like some one else then the problem is you don't have that persons temperament or appetite for risk or general disposition.
  10. One of my resolutions in 2010 is to watch more markets. I am getting an audio alert to help with this. The other markets will trade at a fraction of what I trade in the es save for the DAX and FESX Trading resolutions must be kept if you want to continue to improve as a trader. If not kept or kept part time I would believe they could be a disaster.
  11. Brownie took on the bots and brownie won.
  12. The program is Strategy Runner and it is an iPhone
  13. Do people actually trade like this, I wouldn't trust my trading to a cell phone!
  14. The account is real, I have not entered the commissions in Ninja Trader.
  15. I have shut it down for today, but I had a great trade based off of the beige book, and I will include the chart I used to analyze and execute the trade. I used a 1k vol chart and resistance level between 1108.25-1108.75, I did not short until I was confident of the short using pa and other techniques because news is quite volatile. I ended up profiting an extra 10k on the day making the day great. So it can help to sometimes trade news, but I don't think always. I hope you can look at the chart and take what you will from it.
  16. Feel better soon, see you when you feel well.
  17. I had to stay around for a little more. I felt better about my second trade, also I mentioned trading the 10year and Oil, about 3500 of the first blotter is the 10 year.
  18. Strange day, data was all screwed up on I/RT had a trade that last a nail biting 30 or so minutes. I am now going to get the sleep I did not get last night.
  19. I only feel I need to comment on this because you brought up the reverse button. I feel this button is pure evil. I used this when I started and lost 50% in one day. Reverse will close your order with a market order and place a new market order. If you use the reverse button you need to have some very sound rules as to why and when you would if at all. I have not found these times when I would use it so in my trading plan I have a rule that simply states "never reverse". If it works for you, congratulations and I am not at all being confrontational, I just feel I should share my past experiences with this order.
  20. Traded more today than I usually do in a week, just on smaller size. I may start to trade the 10year and Oil also, on smaller size. We will see.
  21. Nearly entered on the lod, the holiday kept me out however I noticed some nice volume.
  22. So today I entered at in one of my favorite setups in the es, I was trading the 10 year at the same time and entered some orders pretty quickly and again my computer froze. I completely lost it as I was in with heavy size in the es. I called my broker but before I could get through I had restarted and was in the black on the 10 year and part of my es had been taken out with a stop loss but my setup worked overall and I got out with a healthy profit. I am trying to get better at trading the ZN and today I traded 3 contracts and I am very proud of that trade, I did not make much but I am learning the price action in that market. This past weekend Dinerotrader and I met up to discuss trading and had a great conversation:)
  23. I have built many systems using Ninja Trader, none of them are profitable so then I reversed the parameters and they still were not really profitable; they would make around $50/week before commissions so I am looking into much more complex program trading systems but I do not have the skills to program these types of programs and the people that do charge quite a lot, or at least the ones I have come across.
  24. Is this autotrading or does it alert you to trades?
