  1. I think the old trading adage "He who picks bottoms ends up with a handful of sh-t" still applies.
  2. Optionshouse.com. $3.95 flat rate, regardless of how many shares you buy or sell.
  3. Hey Kiwi,

You seem to be the only go-to person around for these matters: Have you traded any of the following on the SGX 1) the Taiwan Futures Index; 2) the Singapore Futures Index; 3) the Straits Times Futures Index or 4) the Hong Kong Futures index. The reason I ask is because I finally found a broker (besides IB and PATS) that has access to these indexes via a CQG feed without using the CQG platform. (I can't use IB because of tick issues and pats is awful)

If you have traded any of them, which (if any) of these tradeable? Which have decent volatility and what would you recommend?

  4. I hope this doesn't violate any of TL's rules, but here is a video explaining why and how to use tick charts: Tick Charts – 5 Compelling Reasons You Should Use Tick Charts
  5. Sounds to me like you're a born contrarian!
  6. Neat! I hope the IB dudes don't see this post.
  7. Are there any other brokers beside IB for trading the HSI and Nikkei?
  8. You're da man, as they say. I will try it and let you know. Many many thanks for your trouble. M:thumbs up::thumbs up:
  9. Whenever you can would be great. Thanks for the reply. m
  10. >Do you use time charts or tick charts? I think time and sales works on ly on ticks >Would it be okay for the results to be displayed in a lower chart region (below chart) and have the three time values displayed with lines (would give historic look)? I think that would be ok.
  11. What I need is an additional variable for the time-and-sales window that can calculate the difference between the actual buys and sells that have accumulated over 3 time periods giving me a positive or negative total for each time period (similar to the bid and ask difference available in Sierra but calculated for the actual sales). I need the time periods to be easily changeable by typing a number in one box (e.g. 30 minutes, 15 minutes, 3 minutes etc) with the results appearing in an adjacent box for all three time periods chosen. That's it. And if you can help much strength to you!
  12. Unfortunately, I have no programming experience at all. So when the help files start talking about arrays and looping and interface variables etc. it's like you're talking Chinese to me. :crap: If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.
