  1. Praise for OTA: This is a good foundational program for anyone trying to get into the game. They are very good at telling a student what to do, and how to do it according to their core strategy. Many of the instructors talk to you about their own personal nuances, and I've found that whenever I've had a question, or I was just on tilt I could call someone and they would walk me back from the edge. Criticism for OTA: As I said they are very good at tell a student what they should do and how they should do it according to their core strategy. They don't really have an answer as to why something works some of the time and why it doesn't work at other times. Their answer typically is 'that's why you have stops' and this is about replicating a strategy that works over many iterations, not getting the trade right each and every time you trade. If you get this right right 3 or 4 times out of ten and have 3:1 or 5:1 reward to risk they you'll make money. They why for me was critical. I have started studying market profile and behaviorial finance. Sometimes it doesn't make sense to place a trade that you would normally because of market structure or sentiment. More importantly their educational program is based around 1 core strategy, if you have questions about order flow, or reading the tape or market profile or anything outside the scope of what they teach, they don't have an answer. All in all I don't regret going to OTA, I regret taking as many classes as I did there, because their protrader class is about a 70% solution. The same core strategy works for all asset classes. Any nuance that is required for the other assets can be found for free on the internet.
