  1. You can't check it out unless you sign up, which I didn't, but the overview seems pretty cool. I wouldn't mind using it to see how my trading style compares to others. Seems like a good tool for the traders in learning as well. Anyway, I don't want took up my forex account so maybe someone with experience there can talk about it.
  2. Ha. I did try to fix that small L, but I either can't edit the title or I don't know how.
  3. If there is a demand, I could have something set up on CBSsports or similar. I prefer $50 a bracket, and if we could get at least 20 of you guys and/or your friends it would be worthwhile to the winner. Looking at a structure with the winner taking 50%, second 30%, and third 20%. Would like to go seed times the round to calculate points, but I would have to make sure CBS accomodates that structure. Otherwise, it would be your normal points per each winner per round. In terms of payment, I respect that most here don't want to release personal info. There are a few way to pay without releasing personal info, and these options can be discussed if there are enough people. I would have 3-4 here.
  4. Bump...so that I can find this later. I usually move on about 20 trades per week, but for more points I would imagine. One smaller trade every 10 minutes seems like something I could add to my current systems. At least you know you are going to see action whenever you turn your platform on. Would be similar to cocaine for an action junkie like myself.
  5. Don't think that you could find a better indicator than the tramp stamp. Was my most reliable indicator back when I was single.
  6. Ok, I have a few minutes to kill.
  7. Ha. Could be the case. I am actually hoping that they are more like my bookies in the fact that they don't cheat me, they may get my cash at the end of the week or I might get theirs, but everything is done fair and square. For any gamblers out there, here is my Saturday card: Dayton u/115' (2'), Iona+1 (2'), St.Peters o/126' (2'), cuse-1 (2'), kansas-3 (2').
  8. Well, I don't know the answer, which is why I'm asking. Do most/some/a few/no brokers actually manipulate the price so that you get stopped? My success has been in the currency futures, and I have opened an account for Forex to see if this arena will be better or worse. BUT, I have always been told to get a sound broker, which makes me laugh. I always pictures those poor guys in their cubiles doing anything for a buck and they think they are the cat's ass. I picked an off the wall broker for my futures and everything has been just fine for quite a few years. Anyway, if I just threw a dart at a board full of brokers, all with similar margins, how can I get fvcked? I don't know the answer. Sure, in futures when the price just goes just to my stop then moves 100 points in the other direction, I feel like I have just been bent over the kitchen table. At the same time, I know that my 10-30 contarcts shouldn't be a big deal, and it was all market driven. Please help, I am playing live with a bit of cash in the Forex now, but perhaps some of your experiences will lead me to change brokers.
  9. True. All my lessons of late have cost me some serious cash. :crap: Then again, that's probably the only way to improve oneself. Still, I hope to be lessons free for the next few weeks.
  10. I have a system that is geared to the release of market moving news. After I just got crushed on today's employment report (thought I could get a least a 50 point drop in the euro), I realized something that maybe others have encountered. My data shows that my win percentage is the worst for the US news releases, actually so bad that I will now take a break on the US news. When I trade any other currency I simply trade it against the dollar. Works fine. When the US news is released, I now have a choice amongst all other currencies. Obviously not all the currencies react the same, so in this scenario may data has shown that some would win in my system and some would lose. It doesn't matter if the markets are open or closed. In fact, today I got crushed in the Euro but would have won in the Aussie. I was wondering if anyone else ever encountered this problem? I am going to hold off on trading the US news until further notice.
  11. Ok, it's a week later, now back to normal. What keeps me sane is knowing that no matter how bad things are, at least I am not a Brown's fan.:rofl:
  12. I remember this journal from across the street. Very interesting, thanks.
  13. Until yesterday I would do anything to screw the IRS, today I respect its power. Wife went to the grocery yesterday evening to buy some things before this big storm, and her debit was declined. She came home all pissed, logged in the bank account to find a wopping balance of $0 ( far from where it should have been). Called the bank last night and was told it was an IRS levy. Man was she pissed at me since it stemmed from my business. Since I was ordered to the couch, I proceeded to get drunk, pass out on the couch, and subsequently missed a number of trades through the night. Spent an hour and a half this morning talking to the IRS, had to get to the third agent before I found one that wasn't a fcking idiot. Turns out, they have the power to take anything they want, when they want, without a notification. Yes, I was supposed to call them two weeks ago and didn't, so this was their action. They said they go to one or more of your bank accounts, and take whatever is in there. Which is what they did. Told me I have 30 days to get '08 taxes in or they will freeze everything for the entire amount. All this after my worst week of trading. Boys, I have a new respect for the IRS. Be smart.
  14. Wow. What does a setup like that run? Any pics?
  15. Fvck. Wasn't a fun time this weekend. Tax problems out my ass. On top of all the other tax issues, we find the Chase paid a wopping $2.06 of our school tax for last year instead of the real amount. Got a check in the mail this weekend, so I called Chase and they said it was the overage on our escrow. So I call the tax office and find that they only paid the 2 bucks last year. Beautiful. Sent the check back to them and asked them to do their fvcking job, and that I am not responsible for the penalty. See what happens.
  16. What the fvck is going on???? When things are bad they just get worse. My wife went to the grocery store and here debit card didn't work. Plenty of cash in there, so she put it on a charge and came home pissed. Turns out, as of today all of our accounts are fvcking frozen by an IRS levy which had to do with my business. Great. How about a fvcking call. Horrible week so far, and I'll probably blow out my account tonight. Which leads me to wonder if my trading accounts are frozen. What a fvcking night. Trading tanked tonight boys.
  17. Been getting crushed the past few days trading wise. I usually blowout my account a few times a year, and this appears to be one of them. While it is expected, and I have a reserve fund for these instances, it is not a fun process to go through. In fact, it is fvcking painful. Have a bunch of trades expected throughout the night. In the meantime, I'll be going large on these earlier tonight: PITT (PICK) DEPAUL +13 TEMPLE -4 MARQUETTE -2
  18. A few more funny, rude and/or vulgar people are needed. Thanks.
