  1. Hi All, I have been a member for a couple of years now and traded the e-mini's for awhile. I had some success, but ultimately did not have enough capital to continue trading full time and eventually eroded most of what I had. I am back trading, albeit on a much smaller scale. I am currently trading Forex and was wondering if you allowed Forex trade results on the P N L forum? Forex is my least favorite trading platform, next to stocks and then futures, but I did want to measure my results and thought the forum would be a good place to do so and maybe get some helpful feedback as well. My account is small, but I place at least a trade per day, usually more. Please let me know what you think. I am an experienced trader and hope to get back to full time status. Never give up! Thanks!!
  2. Hi King, Stops and targets were a huge struggle for me in my early years of trading and it can be really difficult, but not impossible to overcome. I like brownsfan's reply when he mentioned the time frame. Here's what I found. Either: 1. Take trades going for a 'smaller' profit target with multiple trades 2. Take trades looking to catch the bigger moves and a lower amount of trades So I think it is very important to decide what type of trader you are. I am pretty much a pure scalper and my stops are very tight, but I am seldom in a trade for more than a few minutes. I just found that after trying several methods and time frames, this style suited me. I have a question as well. Have you looked to see how often you score on the larger movements versus the smaller ones? i.e. What is the ratio to the 2+ trades, 10+ trades, etc. If you aren't getting a good ratio of the bigger moves, you may need to look at tweaking your entry system. If you are getting a good percentage of the larger moves, then the smaller hits are just part of trading. Finally, It sounds like you have good discipline, which is 1/2 the battle. Just watch the emotions and tweak your setups until you feel comfortable. Hope I could help a bit. You'll get a lot of great advice from this forum and hopefully you can find some things that work for you. Good Luck (I like the idea of the "stops" thread) Ashmat
  3. I have been watching the forum for about a month and just wanted to introduce myself and tell you how much I really appreciate this forum. First, the introduction. I have been trading for about 10 years and have traded many different markets. My preference is stocks and futures, with my focus mainly on index futures. I am preparing to trade full time again and your forum will enhance my success greatly. As I go along, I hope to be a consistent contributor and I can assure you I will be hyping this site at every opportunity! Now, a quick word on why I like this site so much (I really can't stand forums for the most part, but read this one every day)! The biggest complaint I have about most forums is the animosity that some people have against whatever the subject may be. Most subjects will start on topic, but become an ongoing argument. I've seen so many people with a legitimate question be chastised for no other reason than the person has nothing better to do but put everyone down. The anonimity that forums offer can bring out the worst in people. Your forum is nothing but helpful and I appreciate the way you keep things on topic. I also think your standards are very high and I appreciate that! It seems everyone is trying to contribute and not use this as a platform for their insecurities. Finally, the content is second to none! I hope the integrity of the forum remains and I plan to be a long time member. Thanks again and happy trading to all!! Ashmat
  4. Hi TinGull, Where would someone get the Russell2000 TICK indicator? Thanks!!!
  5. Thank you for the links. I use E-Signal for my charting, so I will have to dig a little. I also just wanted to thank you for this web site. I have been looking for info on tape reading and your videos are just excellent. I hope to be a long term member of your forum. Take Care!!
  6. Hi Soultrader, Just a quick question and I hope it's appropriate. How do you get the levels for the Value High and the Value Low? Thanks!!
