  1. Texas is also my favourite game. I love to play it.

But I like trading also very much- this seems interesting forex hold'em tournament.

Mr black plz share where you play orex hold'em tournament everyday. am interested to get in ;)

    I like http://www.tradergamer.com

its new in English, but his software is great, with audio trading room included.

You can create your own heads up and Sit&Go and wait for opponents

  2. Poker and trading are very similar in that they are both zero (negative) sum games. Negative since there is either a commission or a rake to pay on each trade or hand.

It is easier to assume that a poker game played at a casino is a fair game, but not as easy to assume that trading is as fair as it should be.

The payment process is the same in both. The weak or unlucky players pay the strong or good players. In either venue a lucky and poor participant could take money from a good and unlucky participant. Foolishly, people claim that they would rather be lucky than good, but everyone gets their moment when the sun shines only on them but not everyone can be good.

I would rather be good than lucky

    Agree.

Markets are like poker but with different cards for retails and institutional. If you cannot beat people in a trading tournament wiht same rules, slippages, leverage, etc.... its impossible you beat the market by your own....its a dream.

Personally, I think trading tournaments played like poker in terms of competion, prize pool, etc.. if they are run in a professional way, it can be a good tool to start, or generate incomes for traders with small accounts ( less 10,000).

For example, traderlinker is starting to run this model, and English spoken people is not there, spanish are playing already.

Take a look to leaderboard, its amazing!

    (Yes, im the 6th:))

  3. Hi,

Somebody in other thread compared trading tournaments with real prizes to spread betting.

I use traderlinker.com to play tournaments as I dont know any places more where compete in real tournaments with cash prizes.

forexstars.com is not supporting tournaments right now.

Somebody knows other place where I can play daily tournaments?

Todya in traderlinker there are two contest starting at 18:00 with 50 usd prize pool.

S&P 500 E-mini and Forex. If somebody wants to challenge me, ill be there!

    Regards,

  4. Hi,

You are right, but I like to make some considerations.

From my point of view its not the same spread betting, where yor EV is below zero, as you bet againts the house, that trading tournaments, where house only collects a rake for management. EV depends on players in each tournament.

I think you can be seriously with trading and play trading tournament to win money in the same way, sorry i dont see the difference.

If you manage a hedge fund, then its different, but in the case of rtail traders....for me its clear.

A Trader can swap between real trading and trading tournaments.

One thing is clear. In a development stage tournament are more powerful than a demo with 50 dollar running in MT4.

  5. Very interesting. I open a thread with similar topic.

There are already a site hosting trading tournaments and poker games, running multiple tournaments simultaneously.

In this moment, im playing in a DAX tournament to win 50$!

    Regards,

  6. Seeing this spot, it seems industry comes over the poker and trading comparasion.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lN8UaN6PPBk

    For me the differences are:

1.Trading tournaments treated as poker games are completely skill games without luck as all participants get the same cards ( quotes) .

    2. Patient, discipline and risk/reward analysis in real time are shared in both discipline.

To be honest, maybe it can be interesting to challenge people instead of challenge the market.

    ¿Opinions?

  7. Hi jean.

Maybe i did a mistake. Im not comparing zulutrade with traderlinker.

I just say that in summer markets are very bored and difficult to trade, and there, in traderlinker.com people play trading tournament each day simultaneosly and it is very amazing. The problem is that spanish site has traffic but english site not yet, but you can participate in tournaments. They pay cash prizes. its like poker online!

    Just that.

  8. this days are very bored....everybody is gone for holydays...

Theses days, im playing trading toournaments in traderlinker. Somebody is there is amazing?

The problem is that only spanish site has traffic. English site is very new. Somebody wants to challenge me?

Today for example, they have 5 daily tournaments running at hte same time. They are in beta.

  9. I´ve been taking a look to zulutrade and something is missing...

Is it possible to see a trade wall where I can see evolutions and learn from the experts?

Or is it onlyt to follow traders?

  10. Hi all,

I'm a Spanish trader full time. I discovered this forum , and to be honest, its one of the best one i've seen it on internet...

I'm studying the VSA techniques, supply, demand, and everything sounds interesting...but some doubts arrives to my mind.

One of them is a mix between VSA and market delta indicators.

As far as I read, The smart money accumulate/distribute depends on hsi perception of 'fair value'. A big WRB does not like to hte market as some selling?buying could be hidden..ok

I was thinking to use the delta indicadors, as if in a WRB We can see a net selling to bid, Do i need to guess that Smart money has been buying to market and some resistance is found, and now thy are marking the market down, dumb money is buying and they are only putting his limit orders to distribute?

What happens if the volume is ultrahigh and Delta shows a net buying?

May some experienced trader help me with this questions?
