  1. Here you can see a base that's been forming over the past number of weeks and you can also see a number of "no demand" bars (noted by the low volume "dragonfly doji" type bars on low volume) that were quickly followed by selling, but not enough to break that previous low notated by the price level in red. Yesterday was one of the first days that there was some strength coming in on this whole base. Should be interesting to follow along. Plus...it's in the solar complex and I love solar energy.
  2. I see. Very cool. Im uploading my video right now, so hopefully it makes some sense as to what I'm looking at.
  3. Very cool idea on COGN. How is it that you're able to come across stocks that are exiting a long base like that one?
  4. BF was right on with that spinning top he saw at resistance. PNRA powered back down to the bottom of that range.
  5. That's the sad but true fact of the confirmation "test"....sometimes it might not happen.
  6. Ah yes....Fed week. Woohoo for that. Guess that just means the markets kinda tread water while my s&p spreads decay into my account....awesomeness! But yes, that's a very popular method of entering into the markets...on low volume tests.
  7. Sure did Walter!! There's one setting up intraday on a stock I'm watching...I'll let you know how it goes in an hour or so...hopefully.
  8. One starting to show it's head on GDX, gold miners...
  9. Absolutely...and so far thats what is happening today.
  10. One way to enter after a hammer is to wait for a low volume "test" to enter on. Wait until you see that there for sure isn't any supply in the market and it's free to rise.
  11. Yup, and thru VSA we'd say an ULTRA wide spread on ULTRA high volume breaking into new ground is a good sign that institutional flow is starting to take part.
  12. Hmmm...on EEM I have some discrepancy with volume on other charts. Seems as though this prophet chart is showing less volume on the break, where on other charts I see stronger volume on the break. So...EEM is a good go for me.
  13. Another thing to note via VSA... The low volume hammer is a "test" as it ran down but was quickly brought back up towards the highs on low volume showing there was no "professional" activity to follow it through to the downside.
  14. Very nice Reaver. I, too, have 2 rescue dogs and used to volunteer with a rescue organization when I was in Indiana. My neighbor here has a puppy pit, named Hooch. oh man, this dog is absolutely adorable and is STRONG!! He chewed through a thick metal rope one morning to come and visit my dogs. The owner leaves him outside all day long while he's at work....in the rain, in the sun, in the cold....well, cold so far. It's the guys first dog I think and I just realllllly hope he doesn't leave the dog outside in the winter. I started a new company recently, too, making organic dog treats from locally sourced (as local as I can get anyways) ingredients. Gonna be making a few hundred today to have a big Halloween marketing blitz around here.
  15. Thanks for the kind words, Bert! I think this is one of the best resources out there in a public forum for VSA...so as for any other resources...I think you have a seriously great start right here. If you've got questions, ask! We'll do our best to help you in your understanding. There are a LOT of fabulously smart people here.
  16. i totally second MrPauls comment. Also, one thing Paul had taught me...stops on close. Wait until the candle closes to see if it closes beyond your stop so that way you don't get squeezed out on it. but, stops based on market generated info is the way to go, not projected info.
  17. Very sweet idea!! I'm currently at a concert doing sound but it's pre-show right now so checking in on things. I'll definitely get to more on this tomorrow after i wake up....might be late....
