  1. I understand it has a lot to do with personal preference and interests but I'm curious what everyone's opinion is on what the best markets would be to focus on for a beginning trader? Not to say one is definitely easier then another but maybe some markets would be better for a beginning trader to start out in. If I start in Mid Cap Stocks, Futures, or Forex, who knows what, but what is a good number of stocks/currencies etc to be studying at one time? For example it might be more beneficial to just study the hell out of the ins and outs of 15 stocks opposed to trying to study 500 stocks at one time. Curious what opinions are on a first market to focus on and how to devote my focus.
  2. I'm a beginning trader and I want to start taking notes on every little opinion I have on the market and see how my predictions do. I also want to be very efficient and organized with my analysis. Is there any programs/applications you recommend for doing your own analysis?
  3. I was thinking of logging everything in Excel with a bunch of different categories and indicators but I was wondering if there was an online website or application that would be more organized. I want to take notes on individual equities, commodities, and even on the broader market in general. I would also like it to be organized if possible, so if I wanted to check just P/E I could pull all of my notes on the P/E of different companies, or if I wanted to check my notes on Sept 3rd, I could view all my notes on Sept 3rd.. etc. Is there a sophisticated note taking system like this online?
