  1. What would you say about this: www.adry-fx.blogspot.com System | Myfxbook Account: real Gain Daily: 14.42% Monthly:431.86% Doesn't it contridict to your statement? Thanks
  2. It trades emini futures of S&P500,NASDAQ,RUSSELL and DJ contract price in average is $2500... So, do the math. In regard "how soon" - don't know. I do not claim any profitablity... It is up to trader.
  3. Thanks. I understand what you say, I've been there too. But I still belive in myself. Try collective2.com to sell your signals. Good luck.
  4. Dear SickTrader: 1. The industry we are in requires separation of the functionalities and their deep specialization. 2. The trading and trading systems development are the full-time jobs 3. The systems I am developing are not indicators or other TA stuff. 4. My archive is about 1Tb of code, developed during 10++ years. 4. Yes, I have a small ATM, bigger requires bigger money and much more time to sell because, as you can see here, it is almost impossible to even explain your point and as you can see here again, nobody believes even their own eyes. 5. Each system has its own life-time and requires continues re-adjustment, re-training and etc. that's dramatically decrease your profit... 6. You have missed another very important point - collective trading; If you cannot predict chaos create something that will put chaos in order. 7. Because p5. I came up with tactics trading, that solves lots of problems 8. The customer's opinion is the basis of any marketing 9. I want to sell 50 millions of units ; with this number I will solve p6. These are mercantile motivations you call bussiness. The "fairness" is the middle name of the society I came from and, as a human being I want to level the playing field for small guys enabling them with the equal or better tools big guys have. I hope that the last part will not make you more sicker Thanks.
  5. Yes, it is me 5-6 years ago ... may be more ... When I was jobless, having bunch of problems, working on my Scenario Trader ...
  6. Thanks, you are so kind.
  7. I use IB. The actual results, of course, 4-5 times worth of the training result... And this is exactly my point: real-time trading must be more reliable than any back/forward and etc. tests. Isn't it? But, unfortunately, masses are insisting to be fooled... Is it about trading education? or something else?
  8. I think, you calculations are wrong ... netPL/trade = 143.60-5.00=138.60 Profit to comission=138.60/5 =27.7 If you follow this discussion from the beginning than you, perhaps, should notice that we were talking about AI based system and its results. Actually this system used to generate about 5-10% a day ... Unfortunately, market became comletely crazy and I retire this line of systems... (Even AI with the brain capacity 500 mgb couldn't stand it) Free version is the system that use Tactics trading approach which we discuss in other thread. And 20-40% a week you can do manually But, all this does not answer my principle questions...
  9. That is exactly my point... Why should I export it to Excel? To see the equity curve? There is no drawdowns... System is trained do not have them... So, the back-test does not answers your questions... And, what are doubt? Result you see? This is a reason why I am trying to disuss the solution. Where is it?
  10. Dear Tams, I was under impression that the picture will speek for itself... and answer all your questions... net profit per trade is : $143.60- $5 = $138.60 ...
  11. In this case per/trade ratio is $143.64 and usually round treep cost is about $5. This is an example of my training, back and forward testing reports. And comming back to the original question what info you can get from this almost perfect result which is the purpose of the system training? It was trained do not make mistakes?
  12. Yes, it is correct and speech goes about Professional systems based on biologically inspierd AI. It uses up to 10 strategies that trade up to 10 contracts per strategy. So it is not a lot ...
  13. It's done.(link) What you found that is exactly what most of you want - training, back and forward test results... And the reaction ... the same. So, you have a back-test and ... BTW: tere are results for 286 days and each trade by minute, you can check the prices. In regard of spread sheet: do you really think that it is possible to put manually almost 146000 records with exact pricing? Sincerely, Oleg
  14. Perhaps you found my Pro site. I'll publish a link on my web to the new one there is a free stuff
  15. I cannot publish links but you can shut me PM
  16. Have I mention that these are REAL-TIME result? As well as PL, Enter Time/Price. And you can see PL update in REAL-TIME(5 sec delay).
  17. Hi Pros! I am designing automated trading software and I have some problem to understand Professional Traders’ mentality… I publish my trades online in real-time. The results are fairly profitable (20-40%/week), but the first think I hear is “Do you have a back-testing result?” The second question is always: “If the software is so good, why do you sell it?” My answer to that is very simple: I trade, and I do what I do best – developing systems. Furthermore, I do not share the view that systems must be “top level” secret because the more traders use them the more reliable outcome will be (collective trading). So, here are my questions: 1. Does it mean that hypothetical result of back-testing is more reliable and important than what you can see in real-time? 2. My tools is available for free, but download rate is about 0.5% of visitors, is “Free” scaring people? 3. What is your ideal of automated trading apps? Thanks for your time. Oleg Skoptsev
  18. Thanks for an interest. And my personal thanks to beyondMP and BlowFish for productive discussion. I am fully satisfied with the outcome. Now I am more certain in the therm introduced. I hope It'll beocme a standard soon. In regard of approach. Yes, and I do it everyday in real-time, publishing results on the web. Yes it does E-minis: S&P 500, Russell ,NASDAQ, Dow Jones. From weeks to 4000 ticks. And finally: as I mention earlier, the strategy trading has very short life-time because it depends on rules and plans. New approach is plan-less and therefore should have much longer life-time and can be easily adjusted to a new market behavior. That is the beauty of TACTICS trading. That's what I want to highlight. This is new generation of trading applications. BTW: to moderator I am afraid your boss will never sell this portal because chasing a dime you scared away serious traders that always are looking for new ideas and, thanks to you, civilized discussion becomes pointless because an author cannot even make a references to the sources. I am truly sorry... Thanks to all.
  19. Thanks for interesting input. My view is based more on the principle difference because concrete implementation can be other then "Following the trend" approach. (My example was provided to simplify explanation... moderator had removed keywords for more info...) My point was that tactics trading does not have a trading plan behind and therefore much less dependent on market changes. From life forms behavior stand point, tactics trading is the fast adaptation to new conditions in opposite to planning and reaching goals that in turn are formulated based on knowledge and may not be realized because of knowledge failure... "The terms tactic and strategy are often confused: tactics are the actual means used to gain an objective, while strategy is the overall campaign plan, which may involve complex operational patterns, activity, and decision-making that lead to tactical execution." (wikipedia); I think, plan-less approach define the difference. And as you can see, perhaps, sound more appropriate. Isn't it? Thanks
  20. Thank you Sir! At lest three people here understand the subject and seems like they agree on the reasonability of the approach! Now, if I may, dear BlowFish, I would like to ask your opinion on the term "Tactics Trading" - I think, usage of the new term will clearly define the approach and separate from Strategy Trading, that in turn will help guys like Kivi and sevensa more accurately target us. BTW: I use very simple multi-timeframe expert system to reduce number of attempts for entry and exit.
  21. Congratulations! You already understood a difference between Strategy and Tactics trading! I this case let me ask: are you trading on real market? Thanks.
  22. I thought, I am dealing with pros ... who at least would be interested in some ideas...
  23. On bar open, using any reasonable signal Up or Down I enter the market and if the signal is wrong I invert position.
  24. Hi everybody! My name is Oleg. I am a developer of automated trading systems. After many years of trading systems development in the fast changing market I came to the very simple conclusion: I cannot reliably predict chaos and even its statistical boundaries. Technical analysis doesn’t work, because it is based on the history that does not repeat itself and it is always behind the market, AI behind the systems is not working too because there is very little repeating information in the chaos that lays in the basis of self-training and learning. But, I see many different strategies that from time-to-time may produce positive result, perhaps, because they use all of the above and also - strongly defined rules. Unfortunately, the life-time for such systems is very short, because market behavior changes faster than trader is able to formulate new rules. Therefore, I’ve changed my philosophy from strategy trading to tactics trading removing specific rules and instead using three rules below. My new rules: 1. I do not predict the market; instead I follow it but very quickly. 2. I am not afraid of making mistakes and taking small losses quickly fixing it by opening opposite positions. 3. I am always on the market following the trend, but I do not even define it (trend), I follow it automatically. My last market entry is always with the trend. Does it sound reasonable? Do you agree with the new term “Tactics Trading”? Please, be tolerant to my generalized statement. In reality, of course, there are many questions and many different solutions.
