    I use the same indicators on Metastock and Tradestation to verify in realtime. Metastock uses Esignal as data feed; Tradestation uses its own data feed. It is possible that the data feed is the cause that Metastock responses faster than Tradestation.

    If you are day trader, you have the advantage using Metastock.

    Hi,

    Metastock is very easy to use. For the same indicator, you write several lines of codes instead of many lines for Tradestation. There are many resources for Metastock and ten of thousand users worldwide. Metastock indicators response faster than Tradestation in realtime, in some cases (I have try both software in 3 months). Both Metastock and Tradestation will slowdown or hang up when market is very fast. However, Metastock displays message to warn you about it; Tradestation did NOT display any message so you still think the chart is active (DANGEROUS).

    Jose Silva has many complex and good indicators that only available in Metastock.

    In term of cosmetic features (display color, text, multi windows, etc...) and back testing, Tradestation is better than Metastock. I have not found any complex indicators that work in Tradestation and did not work in Metastock. I use Metastock as trading chart and Tradestation as back up.

     

    In summary, if trading is to make money and forget about complex issues, than Metastock is one of the best charting software out there. (Metastock, Tradestation, Multichart, Neoticker, Amibroker, Ninjatrader, Ensign, SierraChart, etc...)

    TRO is a "genius" in code writting. He has written "thousand of indicators" and most of them are free, "a few good indicators" he uses them as "carrot" for newbies. They like indicators so he get "donation" money from them. He also said "do NOT use indicators". You either hate him or love him.

    Thank you TRO for posts 46, 47 and 48 to explain it. Sometimes when a trading method is so SIMPLE, many gurus have a hard time to accept it. :missy:

    TRO, Please change the title NEVER LOOSE AGAIN to ALWAYS WIN FOREVER (sound too good to be true, but it is true) so you will not get ban here. the former title is "bad omen".:ban:

    By the way, you will prove that you are better than many of the gurus by giving all your indicators to members of this forum. NEVER INDICATOR AGAIN.

    Thank you very much Blu-Ray for the ELD codes. You are very fast to keep up with the Chimp and the Bear. The pictures are so "beautifull" that I like to look at them and forget about trading!!! :cinema:

    There are many "gurus" in this Forum. However, in my opinion you deserve another "oscar". :applaud:

    Thank you very much Blu-Ray for the ELD codes. I am very excited to test them right now.

     

    The movie "The Chimp Forex" has won so many oscars. The oscars for director and screenplay go to the chimp Walterw; the oscar for actor goes to the bull Pyenner; the oscar for supporting actor goes to the tiger Blu-Ray; and finally the oscar for best "picture thread" goes to ofcourse "The Chimp Forex".:applaud:

    Oh, I forget, the oscar for the producer goes to Soultrader for providing and supporting this forum. :cheers:

    Thank you Walterw and Pyenner. This is an incredible research to bring out the best of VMA. Please provide more video for "the trading training" and "the humor". I really enjoy both. You are a great teacher and a humorus entertainer!!! :)

    Thanks also to Blu-Ray for providing the Tradestation code. Blu-Ray, could you keep up with Pyenner to convert some of his latest indicators to Tradestation?
